It was good but....
MOD is based on a story so it is what it is, which is a story that I didn't care for. I liked that they both were professionals. Tul did a much better job of acting the part of a coroner than Max as a teacher. (Sorry Max. ) I know they are trying to act and not be to much into sex but there could have been a bit more and more intensity for sure. I love them both and enjoyed seeing them each week, but next time I would like a story with more suspense and intrigue in figuring out the death and less quantity of deaths. Sometimes book stories don't translate well to the screen. I think this was partly true here. I was pleasantly shocked with the ending proposal of marriage, etc. Good Luck next time...I'm sure there will be a next time for you both! Was this review helpful to you?

Not atypical BL
I thought this was a great BL. Very unique in many ways with real-life story plots and themes. Good messaging too! Yes there was some cheating but the consequences were seen and played out in a realistic way. I thought the ending was just fine. There was intrigue from the begining and I was glued to this series for 4days it took me to watch. This included me staying up too late, so you know it was good. He went to the USA, finally doing something for himself and who knows what will happen when if he comes back. Actors were all great especially Tim Haung. Was this review helpful to you?
This is a quality series.
This is a quality series. I say that because it is not in your face every minute. I think a very good comparison would be the Thia series Oxygen. Very similar in its laid-back approach which makes it one of my very favorite series. Cherry blossoms may take on that title too. I think the shorter episodes made the overall a little shy of that because of the lack of support cast development which I believe the support cast here is very strong. Ok and Kang were great together but if I had to pick, I would say that Kang gets to top billing. A special shout out for Cha gun who I think should have had more scene time. Again, the support cast were all very strong. Nice, respectable steady characters are very watchable are good characteristics for series to have. Was this review helpful to you?
Great Series and Must See
I really think that episodes 1 to 4 are 10 rating. Park Sao Ham is just amazing and deserves an award. Especially for the first four episodes. Park Jae Chan is very good in the first 4 episodes too, but I feel he gets better, and his character is more likeable in the last 4 episodes. Episodes 5 and 6 are transition episodes that could have been better. PJC character loses something in episodes 5 and 6 but gains some more depth in 7 and 8. The ending is somewhat anti climatic for me. Could have been better. For sure the first four episodes were the most enjoyable series I've ever seen. It was fresh, quirky and very engaging for me. All of the support characters were very strong especially Song gi oh. congrats for a great series. Make more like this! Was this review helpful to you?
For a short all I can say is WOW
For a short all I can say is WOW! Actually I said it like three or four times. Then a few times I said OMG how sweet. Very, very well done. Both actors were believable no awkwardness at all. The cinematography and the music were great! For me it's all about the messaging. No stereotypes here. A gay cop who's not a closeted weirdo. Very passionate and even hot scenes. See Wow's above statement. Of course saying I want to see more is a compliment but more is sometimes not always better but incase someone from the cast or production sees this it is nice to see. Only thing is I'm not sure about the end. Not sure if I really get what the producer wanted to say.Was this review helpful to you?
This is a great series but....
This is a great series but....I didn't like it. Seriously, I didn't like the ending and yearned so much for this series to be something it wasn't... a Typical BL. So I'm addicted to happy endings and can only tolerate light drama.Enough about me. This is real life stuff and equally heart wrenching in it's passion and realism. Both actors did a great job portraying their flawed yet likeable human characters. There are many brilliant scenes which include the entire framing of the series. 1st scene and last scene. I oh so much wanted this to be something it wasn't, which is not a bad thing thing. I needed a bit of reality to make me appreciate the happy- happy BL's I usually watch. A great piece of work here. Congrats to all involved in the making of this series.

Very disappointed
I started out liking this series. I knew it was a body switch series and did not worry when the accident happened. I was intrigued at first with the idea that only of them could be conscious at one time. Then I started to get paranoid thinking I want the real Kim back, then they said "His spirt is lost" The Angel of death said That's no problem" Then with 3 episodes left he's dead. I keep hoping that the Angel of Death made another mistake and the real Kim would return. This almost seems like cruelty. This is a BL nightmare played out over 12 1 hour episodes. BOOOOOOOOOO - HISSSSSSSSS!!! I guess there is no season 2 for First. (Kim) I skimmed through the last episode I couldn't bare to watch it. This is almost as bad as My Extraordinary. Viewer beware. Was this review helpful to you?
I guess I'm dissenting...sort of!
I guess I'm dissenting. I did give it an 8.First the good stuff....The story line was intriguing and the production and music was excellent.
For the main characters, Hsu Kia made the series. His charisma and magnetism was off the charts in my opinion. Taro, Nat , and Louis (Bai, Eddie Chen) were all very good and had some strong well done scenes. However, they did not have the consistent on screen attraction that Hsu displayed. As couples I was initially into Fan and Bai but that changed around the time Bai dropped out of medical school. I tried to get into Eddie and Chen. I kept thinking I was missing something after seeing all of the post about how they were the better couple, etc. I never felt it.
Actor-wise the side/secondary characters were all generally strong.
I did think there was some choppiness to the story flow and then some stangnet areas.
My dark filter of this series may come down to the fact that for me there was too much violence and blood.
The cameo's were cool and yes I would have loved to see Jake Hsu and Chris Wu. That would have been sweet.
I am a very big fan of the History series. I'm not sure how connected this series is but I'm hoping I will enjoy their next effort more than this one.

Awesome series
What a great BL series. Congratulations to the creators and the actors. Whomever selected the couples too. Bravo! I'm not sure of the story made the actors or the actors made the story. Both really! I didn't like the episodes coming out on 2 consecutive nights. I think the series would have had more impact with weekly releases or at least 3 days between episodes. Kaotung as Giapa gets the best actor award and Alan as first runner up. Almost wining with the most difficult role. Heart and Li meng was also ground breaking and fitting in the series. With that in mind I wish we would have seen more of those characters. Overall, this series for sure could have gone for 10 or 12 episodes. A sincere congratulations again to the entire cast and creative staff. Well done. I really enjoyed this series! Also a shout out for Saleng. Was this review helpful to you?
The story and the plot are a 10.
The story and the plot are a 10. For sure. I love both main charcters and even the psuedo BF manager did a great part too. Ha Yeon was so funny in the begining and he was genuinely protraying the chracter in my opnion. Again, the story and all the plot lines are a 10. As in all short series I have to say I wanted more. More flashbacks and more interaction, but hey I know it wouldn't be a short series. I ahve toa gree the black eye of this series is the lack of chemistry. I see them as friends but there was 0 spark scene in my opnion. Ha yeanon was so romatic froma distacne but I could he very clearly that he was not into the closeness and the kissing. Pity, this series could have been a clssic and ground breaking K-BL but alsas....I did enjoy it and I gave it 9 even though the lack of chemistry is a major aspect worth more than a point, I just loved the story. Very clever and well portayed. The music was great too.Was this review helpful to you?
I was good but....
The good stuff first..all 4 actor leads were very good and likeable in thier charcter presentations. Choco and Milk did a great job being a human version of a dog and cat. Milk and Uncle definetly had great chemistry and were engaged in thier charcter presentations and were beleivable. Jungwoo and Choco was a bit much to have a pet come back as a human and then turn into a lover....I got the remorse and the emotion of the story in the begining but it somehow got lost. I just didn;t see teh transition, or a reason for the transition. Jungwoo seemed to be accepting of them returning and never coming back. That heped my accepting the pet turning into lover "ick" factor. Anyway, Iwould have been better off with Ep10 as the edning. Now I'm sure there will be a season II which maybe something I just have to get over becasue I do like all of the charcaters and the actors. Happy endings are always better, but this one left me confused and having more questions that did not get answered. Was this review helpful to you?
it's not what it could have been, but ...
For sure it's not what it could have been, but now that it's over I'm not sure if it ever could have been acurately placed into film. My readers digest conclusion is that we ( the audience) fell in love with the actors who played Puen and Talay (Sea and Jimmy) they fall in love with each other and we have a happy ending. Makes for a great BL series. As intruging as the plot was I'm not sure if would ever really work in film series or movie. I think it may be too diffult. The secondary cast was also very strong. Up Kita Fuse Aou just great charcters and all very likebale. Aslo the female charcters were all very strong and well played in my opnion. I actually think that Ohm and Nanom may have been more distracting. For those whom think it started out good and went wrong I'll challenege them to take a second look and think about it from the end and go to the beginiing. For all it's complications I very much enjoyed this series.

Disappointing for sure
This is another example of a drama that started okay and has potential, but it ended up a mess. I really liked all of the cast except for Lukchub. Too passive whiney and cried way too much. Pop was very good as Ram.The writing was bad and got worse. The story telling was inconsistent. There was real potential, I thought I would just get a story about two people falling in love while eating food, but that didn't happen at all. Again, it started out that way. The bullying story went way to far and destroyed a lot of the good.
I rated it 6.5 out of 10 (one of my lowest ever... I gave So Much in Love a 7.0...LOL)anyway.... I do like the beginning of the story, and the supporting characters were awesome throughout.

This a Good BL
This not a great BL it's a good BL. It could have been great because the casting was very strong. Especially the secondary characters. I almost wish...well any of the secondary characters would have been a better Dao. Maybe it was the premise of the series, someone who had a crush on someone so they secretly did school assignments for them??? At first I was like ok (?) maybe there's more to it, but no that didn't happen. I did think there was chemistry between the main couple but it wasn't hot and passionate, but it did seem like they liked and cared for each other. Funny thing was it seemed to me that Khab liked Dao more, or it was more obvious. Anyway there are a lot of good aspects to this BL. Best award goes to Joong a Khab and best support goes to Pepper as Phoon. Dunk was ok as Dao I just didn't really take to him or the character. Yes it could be scripting and direction issue for sure. Again I must say that the support cast was all very strong and likeable. Over all a good watch. Note I didn't say great, but it could have been. Was this review helpful to you?
Unique series...good...very good
I'm doing a review because I liked it. I've seen a lot of bad comments here. So, I gave this a 9. It's a BL that didn't have anything to do with school, university, or engineering students. TG. I thought the story and the setting was unique and it had its merit. So, I am HOH for Han. (Head over heels (in love)) Tommy was a bit different and I had to and did warm up to him in the later episodes. I have to mention Go So whom also I warmed up to her too. This is a short series. As with many shorts I felt like this could have been a full-length series, but as I am quickly reminded that sometimes less is more. With that said I enjoyed this series. I was engaged and I learned a few things.PS I have mention that I did not know Holland from the dark side of the moon, but as I understand he has done some brave and pioneering for that he should be applauded and all whom placed him in this role.
PS2, I thought the music was excellent. I even noticed background music as being enjoyable.
