Best Modern Day Drama

Midsummer is full of love is my favorite modern day drama so far. It displays a great story and a beautiful romance. This drama was about a popular singer, Jin Zeyi and his story with the aspiring song writer Luo Tianran. It started off as a mutual hate towards each other, Luo Tianran was an anti-fan of Jin Zeyi and her hate towards him grow when he buys her house without her knowing. Jin Zeyi was also very annoyed by Luo Tianran but then they got caught in a scandal and ended up as a contract couple. As the time went on Jin Zeyi and Luo Tianran started developing feelings for each other but they did not dare to say it. Luo Tianran always thought Zeyi liked his agent and Zeyi thought Luo Tianran liked the second ML, Yun Shu. I am really happy that they worked everything out in the end and unlike some other dramas it actually showed them reuniting and a bit more into the future. I am overall very satisfied by this drama and I would definitely re watch this drama.

Not My Ideal Type of Drama

This drama was not something I would chose as my ideal type of drama. The story was okay but it sometimes got a little off track. I was really annoyed by the king, at first he was degusted by the FL appearance but then all of a sudden in the middle of the story he starts to show more concern towards her. At the end when he finds that she gave birth to an abnormal baby he decided to execute her without a second thought. I feel like the drama was too short and it did not have a precise ending so it confuses all the viewers. My favorite character in the story was the FL's godson, Xue Kun. As far as I could see, Xue Kun was the only sincere character in this drama. Overall, I don't think this was the greatest drama and I would not probably re watch it.
