Great start, but idk what happened...

If you watched 2moons you will recognize the actors Kimmon, Copter and Bas.
Though I personally liked them more in Gen Y the series where the mains are not Pha and Wayu as in 2moons but instead it focuses on Mark and Kit, who appeared in 2moons as Ming and kit, and as the support couple.

Story: I think the story is fine, nothing amazing or extraordinary but just fine. Mark is the best friend of Wayu who is dating Pha, who’s best friend is Kit. Mark catches an interest in Kit as soon as he lays eyes on him and decides to approach him. Kit at first, doesn’t seem interested at all but more annoyed.
Yet, as time goes, the change and growing trust for each other is visible and interesting to watch. Their relationship has a good dynamic and it will become clear that they somehow go well togther despite being so different. As they bicker and argue a lot, their sincerity and care for each other is there.

Acting: Their acting is pretty well performed. Kimmon and Copter are both actors from earlier and no beginners. I can also see they really improved a lot. They capture their characters well as the handsome and charming, yet deep caring Mark and the tough and clever Dr Kit. Their characters are very different but if you're open for it, you will grow to understand them both. Coming to their chemistry, it's there and have improved a lot as well.

Extra:
I think one of the best things about this serie is the fact how being “something else than straight” is seen as something so normal. And yes, it is very unrealistic I know, and I do think it's important to reflect reality in dramas but to be honest, that part was still realistically performed. I know that it would never happen in reality but wishing is free right? And I do wish it was like this in real life too. Even if it is far from reality "being not straght" is something that should’ve been normalized long ago. There are no struggles with the thought of being gay or even about sexuality at all. They just like someone, a person, and isn't that enough? Mark and Kit doesn’t seem effected by liking a guy at all and none around them seems to look at it as something unusual either.

EDIT (finished it):
So I finished the serie now and first of all I wanna say, this serie started off really well but what actually happened towards the ending? Despite that I can say now that I will watch season 2.

After Markkit got together they had some happy moments that gave me a happy feeling as well. Towards the end their story sort of ended and they became a support couple while the main focus started focusing on the love triangle for Thanu, Wayu and Phai. For me it was hard to decide who to ship with who because the dize did not get thrown for a while, some of them were just lacking personality and it all could feel very dragged out sometimes. Their story got boring sometimes because it just moved too slowly or felt too dragged out from time to time. Some of their scenes were too slow or just straight up unnecessary. Despite their love triangle drama they were all kind people and deserved good (especially Phai, such an angel honestly). I hope this gets clearer in season 2.

We also get to follow two other boys, this was a sort of "hate-yet attracted to each other" relationship with some real serious tension. Two of Sansab's friends, Pok and Tong. At first I wasn't that interested in their story because their story literally came from nowhere. But it did get a bit more interesting later on. It was too toxic for me sometimes though which I didn't like but in the end, what got me stuck was probably the excitment in their tension. It was on a surprisingly high level and I could feel their insanely strong hate yet desire for each other if that makes sense? I really hope this gets cleared up in season 2 as well.
About Pha... I understand why they hid his face in the beginning. At first I thought it was because they could not include Pha's original actor God, but it doesn't seem like that now when Big has the role. Pha's sudden return though... no. I don't like that, it's the least they need now tbh.
The end of this season 1 left me with a lot of questions. Now all I can do is wait for next season.

A beautiful secret love story!

I know an unrequited love story is a normal concept. But this one somehow plays out in a very interesting and beautiful way that will catch your attention.

Story:
Zhou Shu Yi is a very handsome and talented guy, he is a great member of the swimming team and does well in school. He can come off as quite arrogant and grumpy to the people around him but in the end, is a very caring and sweet person when it comes down to it.
Shu Yi have always been in rivalry with his childhood rival, Gao Shi De. They have known each other for over 10 years (18 years I believe?) and his whole life Shu yi have been competing with Shi de ever since they were kids, because no matter how hard he tries, beating Shi de seems to be an impossible task. As they grew up as rivals, and Shu Yi being quite competetive while Shi de did not actually seem to care much, they did not get on each other's best sides.
However, as the competitions goes on and Shu Yi experiences heartbreak from the girl he likes it will soon become clear that Shi De's intentions to come in 1st place are not what we thought. He never cared about the winning itself, but all Shi de ever wanted was the chance of getting just a little bit of attention from Shu yi.
But as we know, feelings can be uncontrollable and we will all take even the smallest chance if it comes to us right?
Shi de wanted nothing more than for Shu yi to always and only focus on him. And what is a better way to get that attention than to always make sure your name is right above his, exactly where you know that he will look?

Acting and cast:
Shu Yi is acted by Yu while Shi De is acted by Sam. They both have an amazing chemistry, it's honestly so rarely good and it is hard to tell they recently started acting together. Their chemistry is absolutely on point with right amount of comfort, tension and sweetness, both on and off set.

Their acting is so well performed, I am shook. It never felt stiff or weird. What amazes me is how everything they do look so natural, yes Taiwan has done it again. It doesn't feel like I'm watching a serie anymore but like I am in the story for real. I think it is very clear everyone involved in the series were so passionated about it and the actors delivers the emotions so nicely. There are also scenes where they are not even speaking but you will still be able to see the unspoken feelings and words just by looking into their eyes and their face expressions, especially Sam, this guy can act with his face expressions only.

Main actors:
The main couple had all the spotlight. Wow they were just so amazing, and the actors on top of it!
Sam have acted in series before and there is no disappointment here. He acts as the calm and observant Shi de perfectly, delivers emotion and face expressions super well and on top, he is very handsome and his voice is absolutely gorgeous. I loved just watching him on screen and I even felt this myself, but Sam, as well as his character Shi de clearly has a very charming effect with that personality, looks and voice, all in one.
Yu is new in the acting industry but there is no way to tell. I was personally very surprised when I heard he was a newbie. He captures his character perfectly and I cannot even imagine anyone else acting as Shu yi. He also seems to be a quite hard character to play considering the mixed feeling he has to give off and the moody but powerful temperament. But Yu managed it all. If you've seen Yu in real life you know he is nothing like his character which just proves how well he can give life to his character. He delivered it all, anger, frustration, happiness, sadness and more. I could personally spend all day just staring at him on screen because oh god...I don't actually care about looks but I don't complain either. And Yu takes my breath away. He has a quite unique apperance and wow, such a gorgeous and pretty boy he is. As his character Shu yi he is perfectly suited both in acting and in looks. He delivers every emotion and side of his character perfectly, way better than many well experienced actors I've seen. Yu is also half japanese, half taiwanese so in his acting style he randomly throws out japanese lines every now and then and it is honestly the most adorable and nicest thing I've seen. It feels so unique and personal but also refreshing and realistic since he does speak two languages after all.

OST:
The OST "will you be my love" is so cute. It's definitely a song that will get stuck in my head eventually and will make me think of the serie. WBL have two other OST's as well, "Hard to let go" and "Aqua blue". They are both very beautiful and well suited for the serie, "Aqua blue" is even sung by Yu himelf and he sounds gorgeous. I'm gonna be honest, I especially have a weak spot for "Hard to let go". So well done with all the OST's, they are all catchy and very well suited to the series.

More:
I personally love this story. Yes it does seem a bit basic with another unnrequited love story but I would say, give it a try. I believe it might be to surprise.
The story is very interesting to follow and the characters are very lovable. Also the way Shi De loves Shu Yi is just... it's very interesing but delicately and beautifully done. It is very clear he cherishes this cute and grumpy boy he's known for so long. And that winning or competing is not what he cares about, but just simply to get Shu Yi's attention and to spend time with him. The feelings this story gives me is undescribable. I feel like this story and these characters sticks out from the crowd somehow, and the emotion it carries is special, for me at least.
These two boys were definitely born to be rivals, but destined to be lovers.

EDIT:
I recently finished the series and WOW. I am in love. That's it, I love it. I love all the characters, Sam and Yu are two of my most favorite actors. Thier chemistry and acting talent is just insane. I won't spoil anymore in this edited version so I'm just gonna say this, I haven't been this excited for a season 2 in a long while and I can't wait to see them again.

Give it a try

Ok so where do we start? I have seen many people having many different opinions about this serie. A lot of people say it's boring and I clearly see why but I have to disagree a little bit. I myself wasn’t very into it at first because nothing really happened? The characters didn't have much personality and it felt overall pretty boring and dragged out. However I personally came to realize that this serie takes some time to kick off, maybe a little too long though. The characters as well, they all grew a little stronger later on and I started to see more colors in their personalities.
Sadly this took way too long and most people got bored before getting to the better parts. I can't exactly blame anyone because I was very disappointed as well but with a bit of understanding and lots of time I eventually got very attached to the characters somehow.
I did not get into the straight couple though (not because they were straight ofc) but their story just felt confusing, toxic and I just did not feel any development or emotion watching them. It was mostly uncomfortable.
At the end of the day, Oxygen actually had very loveable characters if you're willing to give them some time. I did not like how long it took for that to happen though, it was way too slow and dragged out in scenes where nothing really happened. But after finishing the show I really came to adore Sologui and even more, Phukao.

ACTING:
I am not sure how to judge the acting. I'm gonna be honest and say the acting could be a bit too stiff. Especially from Petch who acted as Gui, but considering it was his first acting job it seems understandable. I also believe his character were supposed to lack a strong or colorful personality. Okay but on to my favorite, Boss. Boss acted as Kao and I personally really enjoyed both the character and his way of giving life to it. Kao was a very kind, music loving guy with a confident but very understanding personality. The tone in his voice and face expressions suited his character well enough at least.

OST:
Here we have something I loved. The OST of this serie was amazing. Never skipped the intro even once. It was catchy and fitting to the serie. A nice melody with nice lyrics. Yes this is a song I will remember for sure.

Words cannot explain...

So I have watched other HIStory series before and always liked them a lot, but this one has to be one of my favorites. It's a pretty simple story with an enemies to lovers concept in high school enviroments, but the realism of it is made very nicely and beautifully. The story may sound simple and overused but this one really isn't, it is so much more.

STORY:
Xhiang Haoting is quite of a troublemaker. He's outgoing, hotheaded and extroverted. Yu Xigu prefers to keep a low profile, stay away from others and be by himself to only focus on his schoolwork. As we can see, these boys are the total opposite of each other and perhaps, they were never even meant to meet.

Yet somehow their paths crosses when Xiang Haoting's girlfriend starts losing interest in him and begins making a move on Yu Xigu. This causes Haoting to start following Xigu with the will to ruin everything for him. But after an incident with a school exam things starts to change. Haoting starts feeling guilty over what happened, he may seem insensitive and hotheaded but the fact that he is a very deep caring and joybringing person there is no doubt about. He's not a complicated guy, but very easy and straightforward. After the incident with the exam he starts watching Xigu in distance, but not to harass him this time, but because this quiet and lonely boy suddenly looks so different and interesting in his eyes. Xigu on the other hand seems to want nothing more than to be left alone. But how easy is it to actually know the difference between what you want and what you need if you're someone who's never been anything else but lonely?
They seem like total opposites at first glance. Xiang Haoting who lives freely and does whatever his heart desires without any thoughts of consequences, and Yu Xigu, a lonely and hardworking boy who worked his whole life, all just to not be a bother for other people. Yet it seems like their differences and strong sides could be just what the other one is lacking.

ABOUT THE SERIE:
I know this story may seem basic and overused but the way they made this one is different, very beautiful and unique.
This serie had a very nice way of moving forward, not too rushed, not too slowed or dragged out, and as a watcher you could really feel the characters develop and evolve through out the story. It is not a complicated story itself but the emotion it gives off that makes it feel unique. The story is just Xiang Haoting, a big quite aggressive guy who falls head over heels for a guy of the exact opposite from himself and does all he can to make him like him back. Even though Haoting can be aggressive and forward in his approaching it was never enough to be pushy or crossing a line, it's forward yes, but still very delicately done. It's not hard to see he is a very respectful and caring person. I was personally very surprised but happy with his way many times. He knows when he's done wrong and always tries to fully make up for his mistakes, even if it means hurting himself along the way.
We also get to see how love can change another person. It sounds very old and cheesy I know but this drama performed it very beautifully and not at all forced.

I have heard people saying this serie focuses too much on sexual scenes. I can see why people say this but I still have some things to bring up about it.
These people are in high school and I personally thinks it kinda makes sense, I mean, this serie has a beautiful realism to it and this is sort of a part of it. The serie does focus on sexual scenes sometimes yes, but those were also extremely well performed. Full of emotion, desire, passion, and well built up tension. I am personally so happy to see that they didn't sexualize or fetishize homosexual relationships as some series can tend to do. No, this was all somoehow very realistic, it was simply about the love and desire for another person.

ACTING:
I have only one word to say about this, amazing. The emotions and face expressions are extremely well performed. The actors turns out to not be that experienced but you can without hesitation feel every emotion with the characters. The emotions felt very deep and real, never rushed or awkward. When they felt something, anything, sadness, happiness, confusion, pain, I could feel it all with them. I belive that is a very important add and in this serie it was very powerfully done.

OST:
There were two OST's showing in this serie. The intro, and the "emotional scenes" OST. I love both of them if I'm gonna be honest. Especially the emotional one called "Hey" if i remember correctly?
It was such a beautiful song, it still put me in tears to this day. The way they played the OST's never felt weird or awkward. It was perfectly suited in both the chosen scenes, and in the serie itself. Both the lyrics and song suited the serie very well.

Last but not least. Some of you might heard of the ending already... However there will be no spoilers here.
Some people dislike the ending and I obviously understand why, but I personally somehow like it as I at the same time also hate it. Because even if it feels the way it does, it really adds a very special and emotional touch to the characters and the serie.
If you like the ending or not probably depends on who you are as person and what you prefer but I can say this much, wether you like these kinds of endings or not, the serie itself still makes it 100% worth watching.

Adorable, just adorable.

So about this series. When I first started it I did not have too high hopes, but it did come to surprise me. It has no specific story really, but It's very sweet and relaxing to watch. It made me happy and I like how you get to know many of the characters on a quite deep level. The serie is a comedy though for sure.

Bohn x Duen (main couple)
This couple was the "Tom and Jerry couple" for sure.
Bohn is a confident, play-boyish person who is used to get his way. And he falls head over heels for the innocent boy Duen. Duen is an innocent and caring person, but was not the typical "push-over bottom" and he did not hesitate to argue back, especially with Bohn where he probably just wanted to argue back. However, even if Bohn could seem like a bully sometimes he always showed care when it comes to Duen. This kind of pairing between two characters is a match that asks for a lot of understanding and patience from the the viewers or else they could easily be misunderstood.
Poy and Cooper's (the actors) chemistry is honestly very good. The couple was really sweet and fun to watch. Yes, people have been saying they were annoying and I'm not gonna argue back about that. They were really annoying and frustrating to watch sometimes. It had those jelousy and misunderstanding moments where you just wanted to smack them both. But in the end, there were still times where it was visible that they were both capable of putting their prides aside for a moment and to finally apologize to each other. I feel like this kind of dynamic was meant for this couple, and we do get to see how they finally overcomes thier issues.
People have complained they didn't have like "sex scenes" or "steamier scenes" but honestly, I don't think that is necessary at all. They (Duen) could be a bit dull about it but I still think that is okay. A couple doesn't need to have those scenes to be good and interesting. I think it's quite realistic since not everyone wants to do sexual stuff in real life either. You might feel like they didn't have any trust for one another even though they were boyfriends, and yes, that was kind of true but I still think there is more to them if you look closely. Being someone's boyfriend doesn't mean you trust them, trust is something that grows and we did get to see their trust slowly grow even though it took some time. They are a childish and bickering couple but I still find them very enjoyable. I can tell my love for them has only grown since the serie ended.

Ram x King (my favorites)
This couple had my whole heart. The chemistry between Perth and Lay was beautiful to watch and I think one of the reasons this couple was so enjoyable was because both the characters seperatly were so good and lovely as well. They are both pretty complex characters but they never seemed too tryhard to be deep.
King is a handsome engineering student and plant lover. He is known for being the best in all subjects and is a character impossible not to fall for. His love and care for plants allows him to be very observant and understanding of the people around him and to read them like open books. This is very visible in the serie as well. He is the dorky person with a fear of dogs, but yet manages to maintain his attractive and cool character.
Ram is a very interesting character but just as lovable. He is the introverted and guarded type, also self selective mute, meaning he chooses to be mute around people unless those he feels comfortable enough with. He is known in the serie for being the dog lover where he has 4 dogs that he seems to like more than the people around him. Ram had a really interesting and nice character development. Since he had very little dialoge and did not have many lines compared to the others Perth did a great job of giving life to his character through eyes and face expressions. I just loved how much they did with this character with so little.
The connection Ram and King have with each other is somewhat amazing to watch. Ram is very untalkative and therefor catches King's attention for being a litte different. This makes King wanting to know more about this quiet person and it turns out he understands him really way with no words needed. This is still one of my favorite couples and their communication chemistry sure is interesting. I heard some people were annoyed by King's fear of his emotions at the end but I find that dumb as well. It's a part of his character, being scared of your feelings must be one of the most common fears there is. Yes he ran away for a moment but I believe it's more complex than just another denial/confession situation. It's an emotion, it doesn't have to make fully sense and I personally think a lot of people can relate to King. He may seem like a very smart and calm person but he's got fears and flaws too right?

Mek x Boss
I know some people don't love this couple but I actually somewhat liked them.
Mek and Boss have had this "husband and wife" thing going on ever since tehy were freshmen, but while Boss saw it as more of a joke, Mek on the other hand had actually had been in love with him ever since then. Sadly he is too scared of losing Boss as a friend if he were to confess his feelings, so instead chooses to keep quiet and watching him from a distance while doing anything for him.
It probably doesn't sound very interesting but their sweet moments are there, and yes, we will be seeing scenes with Mek being hurt. I don't wanna spoil too much but I can tell, this couple goes surprisingly easy together. So about Mek's actor, Ryan. As I think everyone knows now he was dubbed with a really weird voice. It didn't suit him and yes, that voice did get real annoying sometimes. But after all, Mek was almost mute and did not speak much which added a nice touch to his character, and I believe Ryan couldn't speak thai which is where they probably should've casted someone else. But I mean, I personally think it works fine enough anyways, if you're not too sensetive about it. Boss, well he is the typical goofy character we've seen a lot of in bl and you might not think there is much to him but I still believe he's got more to offer, it's just hidden well. The "husband and wife" thing for example, he obviously did it because he somewhat always liked Mek but was too afraid to even dare and take a step forward, many people says he's insensitive but I think he might be just insecure, and just as Mek was, scared of losing his best friend.

Thara x Frong
I find it a bit hard to judge this couple since their story started almost at the ending. As we know, Frong was actually in love with Duen at first but later on gave up on him when he saw Duen choosing Bohn instead. Frong's story with Thara recently started but from what I've seen so far they are very caring and go pretty well together. I believe they will make a good couple in the coming season 2 if they get together some day.

Acting and cast:
The casts acting is surprisingly good! It's really well performed. The cast members seem to be very close. There are quite a lot of people but they all seem to be good friends already. I do know that Ryan (acting as Mek) sadly won't be in the season 2 because of reasons we do not fully know yet. How they will do with Mekboss couple is also not confirmed yet but a season 2 is confirmed.

OST:
I actually really love the OST! Both OST's are catchy and will easily get stuck in your head. They are yet a really good fit for the series and personally I like them. I especially liked the "love song" OST. When I searched the lyrics up I realized it has a very nice and important message as well:
-I want to tell you, beautiful love has no rules.
-It doesn't matter male of female as long as you love me.
-What's important is, someone knows my thoughts.

In the end, I think my engineer is a quite simple but still nice drama. It's very effective where it relies more on the character building and development instead of the story itself. I personally like this since I believe characters are important and the ones from my engineer I find very colorstrong and enjoyable. And even though the serie might not be masters of it I still think it delivers it well.
