one hell of a tear jerker
Story: They really had me in the first half ngl. The first 30mins was like pure comedy, making me think that this was the overall tone of the story but heck i was wrong man. The next 1h30mins had alot of sad romance + jumpscares and fantasy elements involved. I cried twice during this movie and it was the first time ive cried over a movie. (ps i watched this ystd at the cinema so the scenes are still fresh in my head) However, there are a few plot holes in the movie which explains the 9/10 and not 10/10. I will not be going into detail as it would count as a spoiler. The ending was also kind of confusing to me but i understand why it was made this way.Acting: Vivian Sung and Kai Ko, two fantastic actors placed together in a movie would definitely result in a banger. Their acting felt so genuine that during the sad scenes, i couldnt help but cry along with them. One complain i have is that despite Gingle Wang being the FL, she got less screen time than Vivian Sung who was the second FL which was quite absurd imo... They could've extended the movie abit, showing more romantic interactions between our ML and FL in their future life.
Soundtrack: Just amazing. When it started playing during one of the sad scenes in the movie, i immediately teared up. Its called Red Scarf/Ru Guo Ke Yi by WeiBird
Rewatch value: I personally dislike rewatching movies/shows but i think this show is worth rewatching after a long time.
Overall: If you are looking for a comedic/horror/thriller/fantasy + sad romance show with superb acting, you have came to the right place! As long as you ignore the few minor plot holes and illogical moments, you will be able to enjoy this masterpiece to the fullest :)

Love comes with sacrifices
Story: What can I say besides heart wrenching... This series tells the tale of two different couples, each with their own unique story. Stories about love, regret, sacrifices and loss. Even though the main couple got the most screen time and detailed storyline, the side stories are equally interesting. The main story revolves around two people who lost their loved ones from a young age and sought comfort in each others presence despite certain misunderstandings at the start. However, all good things come to an end when the guy found out about something which would change everything.... The side story revolves around two people who works in the same record label who fell in love through the loss of a loved one, similar to the main story yet different in its own way.Acting: I found out about this series after watching till we meet again which starred Gingle Wang. Boy she did not disappoint in this series either. Her acting felt genuine as she was really able to evoke certain feelings and emotions especially during the heartbreaking moments. The other actors and actresses were also superb in their craft but i think the star of the show is definitely Gingle. I really liked the kid though :)
Music: Not any less sad than the show itself. The two main tracks are sang by A-Lin and Eric Chou and these two artists do not disappoint.
Rewatch Value: I don't think i am able to rewatch such a heartbreaking show but if u feel like crying, go ahead and rewatch the show.
Conclusion: A story sadder than sadness(比悲傷更悲傷的故事) basically explains the entire plot. It is an emotional rollercoaster filled with many life lessons. Prepare a lot of tissue paper and brace yourself for what is to come.

Amazing cast with mediocre plot
This is my first ever review so bear with me. When i first started watching this series, i was rather intrigued and engrossed as the ML is blind which is quite rare. The first few episodes had a great premise and it showed the difficulties and trauma experienced by the ML and how the FL slowly brought color and life into his life. It also portrayed the ML as a mysterious and cold guy while the FL was a outgoing and bright girl. After they first got together, they had alot of sweet moments together which made me envious HAHA. The plot kind of went downhill after episode 12 or so when they broke up. I felt like the later half of the show had some missing links and plot holes which were left unaddressed which made me abit upset. They mentioned about how the FL was hallucinating about her best friend who died 3 years ago in an accident due to her heart disease and claustrophobia but never mentioned about how she managed to overcome it or if anything happened afterwards due to it. Also, regarding the fact that something happened to the FL at the end but never really touched on what happened after her surgery but just fast forwarded to them bringing their child to the park and ending the show there. Ngl, that ending was pretty abrupt and uncalled for. Honestly, if not for the plot holes and missing links, this show would be one of the best romance dramas ive watched this year. It touched on certain topics like physical disabilities and mental illnesses and how it impacts themselves and the people around them. It really portrayed the difficulties these people face and how they slowly overcome it and grow as a person as a result of love as cliche as it sounds. Evan Lin and Wan Peng did a phenomenal job with their role as well as the supporting casts. The OSTs were also great! In conclusion, if u are someone looking for a mellow romance drama with a fresh take to it and do not mind the above mentioned plot holes, definitely give this show a try, you would not regret it !Was this review helpful to you?
