New image for Yoona and an amazing comeback for Hwang Jung Min!
As a fan of Girls' Generation, that's probably the main reason why I watched this. But knowing that Yoona will be working with Hwang Jung Min - one of my most admired South Korean actors, also became a reason to see this. The overall storyline of this series is pretty much related to real-life concerns or issues of the media. While online media is somewhat more powerful now than the major branches of media (Print, Broadcast, and Out of home media), online media also has downfalls. It has lead many lives to end because of being victimized by bullying. And since, everything is just a "one-click, edit, and post" process, worthy news stories can be easily forged as non-worthy fake news.
On its technical aspects, I love the production design and wardrobe. From the first episode to the last, they were consistent with how they want you to look and feel towards the scenes. It was refreshing! I also like the cinematography. It didn't look like the usual "Korean Drama Signature Shots." The color grading added so many feels to every scene. It was also consistent from the very beginning.
The casting wasn't superb but rightful to every actor and character. ?❤️

IU's acting was superb!
I wasn't supposed to watch this since it's a drama series but I always see this on my VIU App as recommended. When I saw the poster, I actually got curious about how IU's acting. By the way, this was her first drama that I watched. It was a good decision watching this after all.
My initial judgment was when I thought about this as a Rom-Com series. But hell, I was wrong! It was drama from beginning to end. It's not a melodrama with exaggerated line deliveries and scenes. It's subtle but sincere. I never thought I'd finished this in 1 day. That's how much I got hooked on to this. I really recommend this!
My first 3 drama reviews here, fair enough I gave a 9.5 rating. Well, they are all well deserved! :)

A feel-good drama series!
I have to say that Choi Sooyoung is the perfect cast for the role of Seo Dannah. There is no one else I could think of that can pull off that role. Im Shi Wan also portrayed the character objectively. I love how he played such a role naturally. This is the first time I watched Shin Se Kyung and Kang Tae Oh. Both did an amazing portrayal of their characters.I have mentioned in my profile that I'm not into rom-com or pure drama series unless starring IU or any members of Girls' Generation. The reason why I avoid watching dramas is that I have seen a lot already in my hometown, the Philippines.
What I like about the over-all storyline of Run On is that things weren't so complicated. You don't have to put so much emotion watching it and just enjoy every scene of the episodes. It's like a breath of fresh air. I totally recommend this for a re-watch! :) love it!

Short but on point!
As a fan of Girls’ Generation, I got so excited when I found out that Yuri’s having this drama series. It has been a while since she had a drama series so this really cheered me up.I didn’t know that this will only air with 10 episodes. What made me feel sad about this is that per episode lasts for around 26-30 minutes only and not the usual 1 hour or more. Still thankful though to have seen this.
The story is probably something you’ve seen already in a Korean Series (though I can’t think of one) or an English movie. Still, the twists and turns are good to watch. Technically, I like the production design, sound design especially on the parts where it shows a suspenseful act. I also like the cinematography and editing.
Yuri’s acting was so good! I loved how Yuri showed those subtle emotions. It was delivered with justice since her character Ga Ram is trying to endure the hurtful things that had happened to her (mostly the scenes with her mom). I find Hyun Woo to look too young physically though. So, I am not sure if the on-screen chemistry was delivered rightfully. If Yuri was partnered maybe with someone who has more mature physical features, I think that’ll suit best and vice versa. I’m surprised with Park Won-Sang’s appearance. I like his character!
10 episodes for me is not good enough. I guess if the story went on for more twists and other stories to offer then probably this drama series can take a spot on a top list.
Still good to watch! ? Happy binging!
By the way, I suggest the VIU App if you plan on watching this.

What I saw is worth-telling :)
The very reason I watched this drama was that I am a fan of Girls' Generation. As I watch every episode, that's when I started to appreciate the wholeness of it. And as a person who is not into Rom-coms, this is something I can definitely suggest to the other viewers with the same taste of genre as mine. The first episode gives you a recall after watching it and excitement to watch the next. The visual effect and sound effects/sound design were all matched to perfection. The OST peaks just in time for the dramatic scene which was also good.
*You'll know what I'm talking about once you start watching this. :)
What really got me hooked on this is the fast pacing of events. You won't feel bored waiting for the next climax of an episode. Another good point of this drama is when it included a few more different stories/cases in between the real case that they are focused on. The mystery of different characters and scenes/events were all revealed rightfully.
Nothing is perfect but giving this drama a rate of 9.5 is fair enough for you to watch this.

You'll go back watching this again :)
It's written in my profile that I don't watch Rom-Coms but this one's an exception. I have come across this drama when it aired in Manila - the Tagalog dubbed version. At first, I got interested in watching this just because of the plot twist that they returned 20 years to the past. But after finishing the whole season, I realized that it is more than the romantic story of the lead characters. I appreciate more the story of Jin Joo and her Mom.Technically, I love the production design of this film and their make-up, the wardrobe... just all. I mean showing 2 dimensions of time is pretty hard to showcase just to make the audience feel the time difference.
To be honest, this was the first-ever Kdrama that had me in tears. Almost weeping. :(
I have mentioned this in my previous review for "Tell Me What You Saw," nothing is perfect but the 9.5 rating is a just and humane rating for this drama - well-deserved!
Well, I'll let you be the judge if I am wrong. :) Happy watching!
