In the midst of pain and tragedy, life goes on as we move on...

The 4th installation of the Rurouni Kenshin franchise serves as the finale that may strike a controversy to viewers depending on their tatses. While the 1st, 2nd and 3rd movies were mostly action packed that surely deserves its praise and glory for its thrilling suspense and amazing choreography of its fighting scenes, "The Final" gives us a different taste.

Some may find "The Final" a little bit more dull, boring or lackluster compared to its previous installations. There were also some questionable moments that weren't addressed properly in the movie. Nonetheless, the slow burn development of the plot is beffiting for its theme, genre and atmosphere. While some may agree with these claims, others may not. In the end, it depends entirely on the viewers' perspective. I actually see "The Final" suitable for the conclusion of the Rurouni Kenshin franchise for it offers us its simplicity and plot that is more on the mellow side.

Although, there are situations in the movie in which we still see those epic sword fights that we all love, "The Final" had a different approach in which the focus is more on the vulnerability of the characters. It showed us the hurt, pain, sadness, guilt and anger of what the characters were feeling. Truly, "The Final" will give you an emotional ride.

Accompanied with the actors / actresses great portrayal of their characters are also the soundtracks that fitted the movie well. The familiar sountracks that we all know plus another great ending song from the one and only : ONE OK ROCK. ***applause***

The cinematography too did not disappoint. In addition to that, the plot still flowed well despite some of its shortcomings as it relayed everything from the beginning until the end.

The Final is definitely not just the story of the main character but also the character who had lost his loved one and who eventually learns to forgive in order for the past to not shackle him..

Indeed, The Final concludes with a bittersweet ending as the people who were involved moves on and starts anew with their life : Living for the present and letting go of the past.

A highschool setting : Common, Wholesome and Average

While it does have a wholesome plot which makes the story pure and fluffy because of the highschool setting.. There still some points that are lacking in the series...

The first one would be the flow of the plot or simply the transition of the scenes.. I find some of the acting scenes to be choppy or unorganized.. That's why sometimes I'd be getting the feeling of dullness from the show...

The second one would be the fact that somehow... even though I'm a fan of slow burn and melodramatic romances / relationships, I find myself not getting hooked with this... which is kind of disappointing for me.. I understand that the premise of the show is the typical school setting romance.. Still, the monotony of the show killed my interest with it...

The third one that also bothered me would be underdeveloped back story of the side couples which is definitely needed to justify the characters' actions / relationships in the story.. We didn't really get to see why some of the side characters are uncomfortable in getting in a relationship.. Why they were afraid etc.. They could have better addressed these issues if only this series had additional episodes.. For example : I find the scene of Tong Fah getting into an accident to be pretty abrupt with no logical explanation whatsoever as to why that suddenly happened.. Basically, there are so many scenarios that happened in the show that were not even addressed or developed properly..

Another thing that also bothered me is the relevance of the title of the show which is a second chance.. Although I see the choices that they made with the show, I just find the title of the series not justified with all the six episodes that I've watched...

Lastly, the chemistry between all the couples seemed to be a bit dry or lacking to me.. There are some cute little moments between the characters that were really nice but there are also some moments which really felt dry or unnatural..

In conclusion, If you're looking for something light hearted to watch.. You can definitely add this to your watch list... The plot is easy to follow because it's common.. The acting and OST is so-so for me since I understand that this has a low budget and the cast are new.. Anyway, this is just my opinion so I won't be discouraging people to watch it. So, Enjoy watching... :)

Hot, Steamy and Toxic Love & Hate Relationship which may or may not annoy you

There are Pros and Cons for this series and I'm going to mention first the Cons for this BL Thai drama. I'm also going to make this review 'short and simple' in order to not spoil the series.

The CONS...
1. The No consent at the beginning of the show.
2. Tharn's attitude (He's homophobic but he has his reasons for this although there were some moments in the series in which he was really selfish and arrogant)
3. The whole homophobic guy x gay guy trope which is overly being used in most BL shows, novels, webtoons, mangas, manhwas etc.
4. The toxic relationships in the show
5. The excessive fanservice
6. There's nothing unique about the plot because it's the typical university setting / theme
7. There are some scenes that I find to be unecessary

The PROS...
1. The actors are not holding back especially with the hot and steamy scenes and it doesn't look awkward or stiff
2. The acting
3. The pacing of the story is good
4. The balance between the comedic scenes and the dramatic / angst scenes are good
5. It's good that the story wasn't dragged because it will only bore the audience or viewers

P.S. : I actually prefer the special episode for this series and it's better if you'll end up only watching that special episode after season 1 because season 2 will only disappoint you and it will ruin your ship here. Personally, it would've been better if the producers or writers only ended up with the special episode rather than making a season 2 of this because season 2 basically ruined the ending of the special episode or rather the whole point of the series.

In conclusion, it's still a fun watch even if there were scenes that may or may not disappoint you. There are CONS but if you like to see the progress of the main couple's relationship, feel free to watch. This show is an average for me but what really caught my attention was the acting. It's good and it will not disappoint you. This is a must watch for those who are looking for a hot, comedic and dramatic BL drama... :)

It's cute and it had potential... but it's pretty average / below average for me

The series starts off with the main couple meeting in the university (college) in which Itt tells Pai about the promise he made back in highschool. After that scene, it changed to their highschool days.

Basically, this series focused more on the main characters highschool days than the university or college setting. We actually get to see the development and progress of their relationship before they'll meet once again in college.

What I like about the series is that there were sweet and subtle moments of the characters in which they were trying to figure out what their relationship was. I find those scenes to be sweet and adorable. Furthermore, I'm glad that there were scenes in which the series talked about safe sex which is really a good thing especially since the setting is in highschool. We need series that talks about this issue in a manner that it is not taken lightly. Another thing that I like is that we get to see a BL series set in highschool.

The things that really bothered me with this series is the inconsistency of the plot as well as the progress of their relationship after the main couple had a fight in their highschool days. The conflict between Itt and Pai was pretty much dry for me. Not to mention, the aditional character who showed up so that he could just be a partner for Pure was really weak for me. Pure and Folk had something going on but the execution was not really good for me. That's why the side couple didn't really leave much of an impact or impression to me. However, I can definitely say that at least I could see their affection / love for each other than Itt and Pai. Itt and Pai's relationship had a good start but it fell through for me in the last episodes because it felt dry and weak for me, like their moments were more on the friendship side. That's why when the two of them kissed, it felt kind of forced. Itt and Pai's relationship in the last episodes was rushed in my opinion.

Moreover, I actually find the last episodes to be boring like it didn't really justify much the title of the story (My gear and your gown). Like, I constantly had the thought, "what was the relevance of the title then because isn't this supposed to be the point of the series, the realizations of the main couple towards their feelings for each other?" Personally, it would have been better if the series just had a highschool setting for a change because if they were really meant to be pushing the title "My gear and your gown" then they could've just focused more on the university setting rather than the highschool setting.

The acting is also average. There were moments in which the actors portrayed their characters well and there were moments where the actors were pretty awkward or stiff or simply lacking the necessary expression. Hence, the acting definitely needs improvement.

In conclusion, this series had a good start but due to the lack of execution of the plot, the inconsistencies of the characters as well as the average acting, there's nothing much to say. If you're looking for a highschool setting BL series then you could give this one a try. What I've said in my review is entirely my opinion and it's up to you whether you'll watch this or not because perhaps, it might be something to your liking... :)

It's cute and fluffy.. Premise of the story is common..

I'll just make my review of this series short and simple.. There are pros and cons for this series.. For the pros, the acting is decent especially for the main couple.. personally, there were actors that were a bit stiff and awkward at some scenes but the show was still enjoyable.. The scenes that I mostly enjoyed though were from Pete and Ae and Tin and Can.. The story for this series is common because of the university setting and the typical shy guy falling for the charismatic guy trope for the main couple as well as the enemies trope for the other couple..

What bothered me the most though were the scenes of Pete and Ae. Yes, they're so cute and sweet but if only it were possible, they could've tone it down a bit. I admit that some of those scenes for me were cringy and cheesy..

Anyway, what I love about the series was that it tackled some of the important issues in the LGBT community.. Although the execution was not perfect, it was still a good start for the series. I'm happy that the series ended on a positive note, it's just that the ending could've been better..

In conclusion, the series is still a good watch - average level at best but props/cheers to the actors for portrating their characters..

GIVE IT A CHANCE AND LOOK AT IT FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

When I heard that this show had some hazing activities, I was actually a bit disappointed or hesitant to watch it because of the SOTUS system but I decided to give it a chance and I didn't regret it... Although the SOTUS system didn't sit well for me in the beginning (because of a matter of culture differences), I opened up with this show by looking at the different scenes being portrayed and because of it, I learned how to love this show.. The way the characters developed in their relationship is so sweet and I'm glad that there's as season 2 for this.. I know that some might be turned off by the beginning of this series because of the hazing etc. but try to give it a chance and look at it from a different perspective, the hazing is not the focus of the series but rather how the main characters' feelings developed with one another and I find it to be pure and wholesome. We need more shows like this that don't just focus on the physical intimacy but rather how the people learn to fall in love, come to terms with their feelings and face the issues that they have. I'm also glad that the show also addresses the LGBT community and not just fetishizing men. Trust me, Season 2 of SOTUS is even better.

A great BL Thai drama worth the watch.. It's not the typical cheesy or romantic comedy dramas that are in the mainstream/common in Thai Bl dramas.. Looking forward to more dramas like this in the future.. Great plot and chracter development and most importantly, it adresses the LGBT community in a way that it's not just queerbaiting or giving false conceptions or false perspective of LGBT relationships.. The relationships portrayed in the story are so wholesome that one can relate.. A good job for the producer, director and writer for delivering this drama..

Give it a chance.. Don't drop it too soon...

I was actually planning to watch this right after I saw the announcement of this series but when the first episodes were released, this got a lot of backlash and because of that, I actually placed this series on hold.. I've also read a lot of bad reviews from this series... Still, I gave this one a chance and surprisingly, I actually watched this until the end..

Now, before I'll discuss THE CONS or the issues within the series, let's first start off with THE PROS..

First thing would be the production, cinematography and OST in the series are actually good.. There are no awkward transition scenes from the story and the plot flows well.. I also love some of the soundtracks used in the show.. Most especially the meaningful lyrics of the songs which the audience / viewers can relate to.. As for the acting, the cast did well in portraying their characters especially the main couple.. Though there are some scenes that I find the acting to be lacking, overall, the acting in bl taiwan series have improved..

Second thing, the healthy relationship of the main couple (Xiao Li Cheng and Teng Mu Ren).. At first, I got a bit turned off with Xiao Li Cheng's character but as the series goes on, I started liking his character.. One minute we see his carefree and playful attitude, then during serious moments, we get to see his maturity.. Although, the main couple's relationship started off with a pretend one, we still get to see the development of the main couple's relationship.. Their relationship might not be perfect but applause for their healthy relationship..

I'm also glad that when the two got together, they talked things out when they encountered problems which is important in a relationship.. Xiao Li Cheng also stole the show for me because of his positive mindset.. Although, there were moments where he was too aggressive or too imposing in pursuing his relationship with Teng Mu Ren, his character improved as the series went on..

I actually love his lines when he told Teng Mu Ren that our happiness can be found on our own... A subtle way of telling us that we shouldn't be bothered with what society sees not just in an LGBT relationship but all types of relationships.. I mean, isn't happiness the point in getting into a relationship regardless of their sexuality, race, culture etc.?? If you're happy with that person then that's great rather than staying in an unhappy relationship.. All relationships are not perfect, what's important is that we find ourselves happy, safe and comfortable in that relationship..

Aside from that, I'm glad that the series focused more on the development of the plot rather than having A LOT of steamy or hot moments like some bl series which I won't mention lol.. If you're looking for a series that has a lot of these moments, then this would not be for you.. Although, there are hot and steamy moments from the show, I'm glad that it wasn't overbearing or too much.. You have to admit though that the smexy scenes in the series are really damn hot and detailed... lol..

The main issue within the series which I find it to be uncomfortable would be the NO CONSENT that happened between the side couple (Fu Yong Jie and Ye Xing Si).. Why are some script writers fond of the trope "getting that person drunk then having sex with them". I find this to be eye rolling.. It's not good, CONSENT is a must in all relationships..

In addition to that, the whole fujoshi thing in the story is just MEHHHH.. Although, the fujoshi character is needed especially in the development of the main couple's relationship, I just find it to be uncomfortable especially when you're shipping people together that aren't together.. Other than that, the fujoshi thing was funny in the beginning, but in reality.. it's not good to ship real people together...

Another IMPORTANT ISSUE that should not be taken lightly in the series would be the step brother's (Fu Yong Jie) attitude and personality which definitely needs major help.. His obsession with his older brother (Ye Xing Si) is too overbearing.. His stalking tendencies needs to be addressed in the show too.. Sure, he loves his brother, but the way he portrays his love is just too much and it's unhealthy or toxic.. That's why, he really REALLY needs help..

As the series went on, I thought that his attitude would IMPROVE, sadly it didn't.. I find his character to be too straightforward, aggressive and disrespectful... I understand that he's 20 and described to be still a "kid" in the series, still.. his words, actions and attitude towards his step father were just damn rude.. Not to mention, there were a lot of times in which he feels and also tells the other characters that he's entitled to be his older brother's significant other.. Like he's the only one who understands his older brother well and he is the best one to become Ye Xing Si's significant other..

What's also bothersome is his older brother's attitude or take in his younger brother's actions.. He's defending his younger brother's actions too much.. Sure, he genuinely cares for his brother, but he shouldn't be taking his younger brother's side most of the time.. At the end of the series, I thought that they wouldn't end up together but yeah.. they did.. and it's disappointing for me not because they are step brothers but because first, they didn't have much development in the series as lovers. Second, I feel like the older brother loves his younger brother but not in that kind of way. Lastly, it would've been better if the main issues I mentioned above were addressed then their relationship would have been taken in a positive note..

Some people might also find the side couple's relationship to be immoral, appropriate or incest.. However, I knew what I was getting into when I watched the series.. I watched this with an open mind rather than judging it first and dropping the series midway..

All countries have different laws or takes regarding the step sibling relationship issue.. In my country, a relationship is considered to be an incest if it's between blood related people within the 1st to 3rd consanguinity.. What's important to consider in this show is that one should be open on this heavy topic.. People (based on their law and culture) have their own perspectives regarding this topic. What's relevant is that respect must be given to people's different perspectives..

Overall, this series had its good points and its downsides... There are cute, sweet and comedic moments that viewers can enjoy.. There are also scenes that are questionable, angsty and serious.. To be honest, the saving grace of this series is actually the main couple (Xiao Li Cheng and Teng Mu Ren).. However, If you're looking for a long watch and if you're open on the side couple's relationship... Then, give this one a try.. Other than that, Enjoy watching and Happy Pride Month! 😊❤️🌈

My first BL series that I watched and I did not regret it

P.S. Consider my review here to be pretty late because I actually watched this last year plus this series takes a special place in my heart due to the fact that this is where it started my journey in watching BL series lol...

What I love about this show is how the plot and characters' relationships developed well. We have the main couple and the side couple : police x mob and I was already ecstatic for it. Both couples have great chemistry with each other and I'm glad that the acting is also good - expressions are portrayed well with just a few scenes or moments of stiff acting but that's fine because the overall outcome of the series ended up pretty well.

In addition to that, it's also not the typical romantic comedy genre. It's a fusion of action, romance, drama with a little bit of comedy here and there and I love how they balanced this well. Props to the director, producer as well as the writer.

The pacing of the story did not disappoint me as well because we get to see how the relationship of the couples progressed. There's no "boom" already a couple moment or "boom" hot and steamy kissing scenes already at the first episode. I love how it was slow burn so that the series could develop in terms of plot and character because both couples had their sweet and subtle moments of flirting and I find it to be so wholesome.

For the Cons of this series, I actually felt like the main conflict ended up pretty flat for me. Like I had the expression, that was it? That was the only thing that bothered me in the series.

In conclusion, this is definitely worth the watch if you're into police x mob pairings and slow burn romance with a hint of action and comedy. The series also has a solid cast with good chemistry plus a 45-50 mins running time for each episode that will definitely not leave you hanging.

This series is also part of the History franchise (TAIWAN BL SERIES) and I'll only recommend :
1. History3 - Trapped (COMPLETE),
2. History3 - Make Our Days Count (COMPLETE)
3. History4 - Close To You (ONGOING) because personally, these are the only series worth the watch in the History franchise.

Anyway, Enjoy watching... :)

Even if it's the usual school youth romance, the execution is good and it made the series relatable

This series definitely did not disappoint me.. After watching all of the History franchise, I'm glad that this series did not disappoint me. With its relatable characters, one can appreciate the blooming romance of Gao Shi De and Zhou Shu Yi.

Apart from the relatable characters and good pacing of the story, the series also has a good production as well as soundtracks that have meaningful lyrics. We also have a solid cast - the main actors were able to portray the expressions of their characters well and their sweet moments in the series are also wholesome.

Furthermore, we get to see the progress and development of the relationship of the couple. It's not the typical fast paced in which they immediately fall in love at the 1st episode or scene which gives this series a plus point for me. While it only had a short running time per episode (20-30 mins at best), at least there were plot and character development. Kudos to the production team, actors as well as everyone who were involved into making this series.

In conclusion, this series definitely is a highly recommend watch for me and it deserves more recognition. With its relatable plot and characters, one can be entertained in watching this series. Eventhough, the series ends with a cliff hanger, there's a sequel for this and it's also complete so it will definitely not leave the viewer / audience hanging. Enjoy watching.. :)

P.S. My review for this first season is actually late lol... I've also already finished watching its sequel and I've posted my review for it...

Ambitious : A series that had a lot going on.. maybe a bit too much, still a good watch though

I actually had high expectations for this series because I'm grateful that SK (South Korea) is blessing us with more Sci-fi action / mystery packed series unlike before. This drama had everything that I wanted from the beginning : A solid cast (Park Shin Hye and ), A good production, An intriguing plot and OSTs that will surely land on your playlist... So what could possibly go wrong with it?? Well, before I discuss the Cons.. Let's first talk about the Pros of the series.

PROS
1. An intriguing plot : This series is not meant to be watched in a passing glance because you really need to take your time in watching this one. The mystery of the series unravels as one dives deeper in the story.
2. The pacing of the series is just right : not too fast, not too slow. We get to see the plot unravel as well as the development of the characters.
3. The acting and the choreography for the action or fighting scenes are top knotch. We get to see Park Shin Hye in action. Finally, a badass female lead and not some weak female lead or damsel in distress. (We really need more strong female leads in not just South Korean dramas but also other Asian dramas).

CONS
1. The inconsistency and 'illogicality' of the science in the show which literally may or may not disappoint you if you did not notice it. I understand that this has an intriguing plot but the execution of the science (time paradox, time loop, time travel etc. ) in the story is a bit weak. I find that the supposed sci-fi focus of the show became bland midway. Although, I can definitely say that Sisyphus had a better execution than Alice which was more of a disappointment.
2. I find the romance of the characters (Seo Hae and Han Tae Sul) to be mehhhh... I understand that SK is fond of romantic relationships in their series but I'd rather prefer if they were just friends or comrades instead. This is just an opinion but since Seo Hae and Han Tae Sul had a lot going on in the series that I actually find their relationship to be rushed or dry. Although, I want them to be a couple, it would've been better if it was on the end part of the series is where they will realize that they could've been just more than friends...
3. The ending : it is an open ending that will really leave you hanging because the main issues are still unresolved plus character and plot inconsistencies. I'm hoping for a season 2 for this because there are still important issues that needs to be clarified in the series.

In conclusion, the good balances out the bad in the series. Definitely, a slightly above average or average SK drama for me. It's still a good watch despite the discrepancies in some certain aspects but yeah, other than that. I still enjoyed watching it. Cheers to the great production and effort of all the actors/actresses, production team etc.. :)

Enjoyable watch : The typical Youthful Love set in the university but in a music club

The series started of with Tine's perspective on how he'll meet 'the one' in his life due to the failed relationships he had with his exes. The series also mostly focuses on Tine's perspective on how he develops as well as realizes his true feelings for Sarawat.

I've watched a lot of university setting dramas and I'm definitely glad that this one starts off with the music club in which "music" will be the theme on how Tine and Sarawat will develop their relationship instead of another engineer themed relationship. Although the setting is the common university theme, props to the director or producer for giving it a bit of a twist.

What I like about the series is how Tine and Sarawat had the time to got to know more of each other that's why I love how we got to see the progress of their relationship (their cute, sweet and funny moments) rather than making them have a fast paced relationship in which they kiss and have steamy scenes etc. While I don't have anything against hot and steamy relationships, it's actually refreshing to see slow burn relationships. 2gether the series kind off gives me the vibes or atmosphere of Dark blue kiss and Sotus in which the main couple don't have to rely on hot and steamy moments just to catch the attention of the viewers / audience because their chemistry and adorable moments are just enough.

Another thing that I like about the series are the Soundtracks.. It fits the series and I love how we get to listen to different songs from the indie Thai band, Scrubb. After listening to some of the OST, I fell in love with the band, Scrubb. Furthermore, The songs used had meaningful lyrics which are really relatable if you have the time to read the English translations of the songs and it also expresses how the characters in the series portray what they were feeling. I actually never expected myself to love Thai indie songs. Trust me, if you listen to some of the Sountracks used in the series, you'll love it if you're a fan of that genre in music... :)

As for the acting and the production, there are Pros and Cons that I've noticed. For the acting, it's actually mediocre for me. There were times where you can see the siffness or awkwardness of the scenes. I cannot really praise the acting 100 percent because of this. Although, we can see the chemistry of Bright and Win, the acting is a little bit lacking. Especially, their facial expressions and bodily expressions. There were times in which it was monotonous or just simply plain. However, props for the actors for still doing a good job in portraying their characters. As for the production, it's also average for me because there times where I felt like the transitions, editing and camera angles did not fit some of the scenes in the series.

For the plot and character development, the pacing of the story is good as well as for the character development of Tine and Sarawat. What bothered me though are the inconsitency of some of the characters and some of the scenes. In addition to that, the last episodes didn't really give much justification for the beginning of the series. The ending will may or may not give you a dry or disappointing feeling (it entirely depends on the viewers peprspective) but yeah.. It was a bit boring or uninteresting for me. Although, the characters have a happy ending. The last episodes were just Mehhhhh...

Lastly, I don't really get why Thai BL dramas are fond of multiple couples in a single show. I'd prefer if they actually cut back on those like there is only one couple (For example : A tale of thousand stars) so that our attention are only focused on them and the plot revolves around that single couple. If not a single couple in the story, two couples would be enough. The disadvantage with multiple couples in a series is that the side couples don't really get to have much screen time and development which will give the series scattered side plots... Sometimes, we need a series that don't rely on sidecouples or multiple couples just to sustain or catch the attention of the viewers or the audience. Though it can be advantageous to some series, sometimes it's not and it can be repetetive if this theme is overly used.

In conlusion, if you're looking for a light, funny and sweet BL thai series with just a bit of angst plus the usual or typical university themed show, you might as well try watching this series. It's average and there are scenes you may or may not like depending on your perspective... Other than that, Enjoy watching.. :)

P.S. I get that some are hating on this series but please don't.. if you're not interested, just don't watch it and stop spreading hate for this series.. :)

That's why communication is important in all relationships...

Finally, the 2nd installment of We best love. A series that I had high expectations because of its cliffhanger from its 1st season.

The series starts off five years later after the 1st installment. We get to see the characters that are now working. The first episode right at the bat was intense and dramatic. Kudos to the actors for portraying the expressions of their characters well.

Apart from the good production and OST used in the series, the pacing of the story is fast paced due to its 30 mins running time per episode. There were a lot of tense moments that will surely grip the audience followed by hot and steamy moments from Gao Shi De and Shu Yi that will also not disappoint.

What really bothered me though was the fact that they didn't insert the most important scene that all of the viewers / audience were waiting - the scene in which Gao Shi De tells Zhou Shu Yi who the blonde was. I actually had an inkling of what was the identity of the blonde character, but seriously though, that was an important scene and I don't really get why they had to delete it. By deleting that important scene, it didn't give justification to the point of the entire series.

Another thing is that, I'd prefer if all of the couples had their own series. In my opinion, i felt that this series had abruptly focused on the 3rd couple in the last episodes (Pei Shou and Yu Zhen Xuan). After the intense previous episodes from Gao Shi De and Zhou Shu Yi in which they fight and make up, the sudden shift of focus to the other side couple was really lacking. I wasn't satisfied with how the relationship of the main couple was handled in the series. The execution was great at the beginning, but it fell midway for me.

In conclusion, this is just my opinion, I actually prefer the first season rather than its sequel. The sequel is good too, but there were some inconsistencies for me. Other than that, I still enjoyed watching this series. It's still a highly recommend watch for me. So yeah... Enjoy watching.. :)

It's sweet and it had potential to be a good series, premise of the story is common

This series is actually a typical BL story. The story starts off with the moment of the main characters meeting each other. I actually find Solo and Guitar's first moment to be sweet and wholesome (The warm cup of milk scene). Their subtle interactions with each other is actually pure and cute for me. As for the other couple, I find their chemistry to be lacking. Especially the actor for Solo's brother (Phuri), acting is a bit stiff for me though it's understandable that the character is uptight and serious but yeah, I find the lack of charisma in his acting that's why the other couple for me did not actually gave much of an impression to me. Although, the premise for their relationship is actually sweet and funny because Solo's friend (Kao) had to chase Phuri so that he could show his affection.

Aside from the cons of the acting, there were also moments in the series that I find to be cringey or overly dramatic. Especially, the fighting scenes were kind of funny to me. I know that it was a serious scene but still, it felt short for me.

What I do love in the series is the OST songs that were sung. I actually downloaded those two songs and I can definitely say that the My Oxygen song is still stuck in my mind on repeat and I'm amazed that the actor for Solo has a beautiful voice.

What really pains me is the wasted potential for this series. It could have been a better melodrama genre in which the scenes where Solo had to face some issues within his family as well as Guitar's financial problem could have been executed in a way that it would give more impact or impression on the viewers but yeah... The execution felt dry for me. That's why I agree with some viewers that some scenes might bore you because it felt dry / lacking.

What I do love about the series is the starting scenes. The beginning of the series actually immediately caught my attention because I thought that this series would stray away from the comedic university romance trope because I thought it would have a heavy angst or melodrama theme but yeah. It fell short for me. The ending also was really dry or lacking for me. When I was watching this until the end, I constantly had the feeling that it was missing something.

In conclusion, this series was average for me. It had potential to be an angst drama so that it could have strayed away from the BL comedy romance setting. Alas, it didn't.. :(
I don't discourage anyone from watching this because it's a matter of choice. Some people might like it, others might not. All in all, you can still be entertained in watching this even if there are pros and cons for this series... :)

I have a lot of issues with this drama... Although the premise is good, the fact remains that Khai is really the most arrogant seme I have ever encountered in a BL drama. He was a jerk to Third and he did a lot of things that were not just mean but also hurtful. It actually pained me to see Third loving at the same time getting hurt by Khai multiple times in the show. This is actually another example of a toxic relationship. Although Khai was an arrogant jerk in the beginning, he did had a character development in the end and changed his ways.. but the scene where he realized his feelings for Third was really lacking for me. It felt too rushed and like it had no chemistry or it was a bit dry. It was like the relationship was pushed or forced so that they could end up together (the straight/player/arrogant seme guy falls for the gay guy trope) is basically what I'm seeing here.

In the end though, the two of them end up together so it's a postive note for some of the viewers. I'm not going to discourage people to watch this but if you're into this trope, you can watch it. I just find the character of Khai to be disappointing and it would have been better if the show addressed LGBT issues better. Like in realistic situations, how would someone feel about liking the opposite gender or what struggles would they face in the community and how would they cope it or how would they solve it so that they can be accepted by people who ostracized them. It's difficult to find shows that addresses this well.

Anyway, What I can leave as a positive note though for this show is that the acting is good. I'm glad that the actors portrayed their characters well in the story.
