A great start : We get to see human greed at its finest but the pacing midway went downhill for me

P.S. This series is for viewers who are not uncomfortable with graphic scenes such as violence etc. because this drama's plot is driven by human and animal experimentation and abuse. Basically, this serves as a warning.

The drama kicks off with a great start as it actually leaves the viewers an impression as well as a lot of questions to be solved as the viewers dive deeper into the series. We get to see a great production as well as a solid cast. The acting, OSTs and effects used right at the bat catches the viewers / audiences attention. The hype for the 1st episode is intense and truly, worthy. Moreover, the OSTs used are also meaningful and emotional most especially when you read the lyrics of the OSTs because it portrays the characters' inner struggles.

I'm also glad that SK is actually producing more dramas that aren't just mainly oriented for the audience who are fond of Romantic Comedies so L.U.C.A. gets another plus point. Moreover, the last time viewers were blessed with a Sci-fi focused series was on 2018 when "Circle : Two connected worlds was released" and that show started and ended off pretty well so if you haven't yet watched that series, I highly recommend you to check it out because it has a lost of twists and it is also one of the most underated SK series.

Since L.U.C.A. is also a unique series because of its genre and plot (Sci-fi, Action, Mystery, Thriller, Suspense), it is advisable that you don't watch this as a passing because there are a lot of mysteries to ponder.

The pacing at the beginning of the story is also done well but here's where the series starts to go downhill.

In the middle of the series, there's actually a point where the characters suddenly developed a romantic relationship and I actually find it to be out of character because at the first episodes, we see them as friends then boom, they got together really fast. We didn't get to see much progress.

Furthermore, you may actually start to question at the middle of the series on where it was going. Like the characters are not even consistent and some parts of the series might bore / disappoint you.

Lastly, the series ends off with a depressing note as well as a cliff hanger. I will not expound this further in order to not give a spoiler but yeahhh.. *sigh*

In conclusion, this series deserves an applause for its unique take based on Charles Darwin's theory of Evolution. Its plot is more oriented on human experimentation towards human evolution and its Genre will immediately catch the attention of the viewers. There are Cons for this series because of some plot and character inconsistencies but if you're interested in a series which will make you ponder a lot, you can add this on your watch list. I cannot guarantee that this is a 100% great series but it's still an entertaining watch despite of its Cons... ;)

It's a fun and lighthearted special from the 2gether the series..

I actually enjoyed watching this special from the 2gether the series. Its cute, funny and sweet moments from all of the characters in the show will make you smile. To be honest, I actually prefer this special than its first season.

In the first season, the chemistry between Tine and Sarawat was a bit lacking for me like some scenes were a bit monotonous while some were good. However, here in this special, we get to see how their relationship progressed after a year. I can definitely say that their relationship is now mature and I love how Tine and Sarawat talk about the things that bothers them which is really important in a relationship : communication. Props for the writer, producer or director for making Tine and Sarawat's relationship wholesome and realistic here.

Another thing that I love from this special episodes is that we also see some of the sweet scenes from the other side couples. It's cute and short but personally, it would've been better if they got their own series in which they are the focus on the show because we could have seen the development of their relationships. Other than that, props for their supporting roles in the special.

The production as well as the acting of the characters have also improved. The portrayal of the actors of their characters expressions are a bit more natural than the first season so yeah.. great improvement. The soundtracks used are the same with the first season which are a plus because the OSTs from this series are one of my faves.

In conclusion, this special is a continuation of the 2gether the series. If you're looking to see Tine and Sarawat's relationship after a year, you might as well try to add this on your watch list. It's a fluffly and short special which will definitely make you smile with only 5 episodes... So yeah, Enjoy watching... :)

P.S. I forgot to mention this in my review of the 2gether the series. I'm actually glad that they toned down the screaming fanatics or whatever you call those screaming fans of Sarawat in this special. To be honest, it was borderline cringy, annoying, weird, overdramatic and unrealistic for me.

It's a cute short BL Series, though I wish it could have been longer...

I'm glad that SK is producing more BL series. The biggest problem though is that it's too short. Most of the short BL series they've produced had so much potential to be a longer series like Color Rush, Where your eyes linger, To my star, Mr. Heart, Long time No See, etc.

What I can say about the Cons for this series is that the development or the progress of their relationship is too fast considering that it's only an 8 episode drama which has about 12-15 minutes running time per episode which totally saddens me. Like what I've mentioned in my headline, if this was a longer series, the series could've made more impression or impact with the audience /viewers because the plot and characters could've been developed well.

Nonetheless, the acting and production is actually good. Plus, the OST for this short series are pretty sweet. Especially, the opening soundtrack.

Moreover, it's great that the actors had a good chemistry going on. Their short and cute moments in the series were sweet and I'm glad they weren't awkward with each other.

As for the supporting actors with their side characters, there's nothing much to say about them actually because they had little screen time. Nevertheless, props to them for their support in the series.

In conclusion, the thing that really bothered me with the series is the PACING of the story. This really had Potential and personally, it felt like it was wasted. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a light or mellow short BL series, give this one a try... ;)

P.S. : I'm actually hoping or looking forward to SK for producing more series like this but with longer running time so that the story will progress better because a lot was definitely going on in most short BL dramas especially this one (Color rush, Mr. Heart, To my star, Long time no see, Wish you in my melody, Where your eyes linger etc. ) and I'm sad that the director, producer and writer have to try their best to mesh everything in the story so that it could fit in a series which has only 10 minutes running time.

If you're into fast paced Romance plot, add this to your watch list

There are PROS AND CONS for this series and I'm just going to make my review about this short. Basically, there are 2 main couples here and I actually love both of their chemistry.

For the pros, the acting is actually good, most especially on the characters Fighter and Tutor. They are not holding back especially on their hot and steamy scenes. For Zon and Sai Fah, it's also good but for me there were times that Zon was pretty stiff in some of the scenes though it's still good because Zon and Sai Fah are the cute couple in the series and I find their scenes to be sweet, funny and not overly cringey.

The pacing is also okay since the romance development for this series is fast in order to not bore the viewers or watchers.

For the OST and PRODUCTION, it's actually good eventhough the series had faced problems in filming especially in the last episodes that's why there were lesser scenes of Zon and Sai Fah and the series mostly focused on Fighter and Tutor because of the pandemic.

For the Cons of this series, I mostly had issues with Fighter and Tutor's relationship. They were actually my fave couple in the beginning and I love their sassyness when they flirted with each other. Basically, they were the hot couple in the series and their steamy scenes are really good. Props to them for their acting and for not holding back. Anyway, what I didn't like was how vague Fighter was like he had to ask Tutor a couple of times for confirmation if he really did have feelings for him. Like seriously bro, you kissed him a lot of times and you were still unsure?? ***sigh*** Well, in the end, I'm glad they faced their issues and they ended up together.

Another cons for me for this series is the fact that there were a lot of shipping or fetishizers?? (is that even a word lol) for gay relationships. Not to mention the excessive fan service were actually a bit cringey for me. Although, it was part of the plot. It's still uncomfortable especially Zon's sister who basically used his brother's name as well as his brother's friends in a Y novel without permission. Yes, the purpose for this was for comedy but yeah. Enough of the series of having a lot of fujoshis shipping real people.

Lastly, there were characters and moments that I actually find to be unecessary in the series. I don't get why they had to add some side couples or more characters in the series and I actually find it to be too much because they litterally had little screen time. Furthermore, the ending is rushed and there were lacking scenes of Saifah and Zon but I understand since the filming had some changes because of the pandemic. The production team did film a separate story for Saifah and Zon, so you might as well check that one out too if you're a fan for this couple.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a series which provides hot and steamy scenes as well as cute, funny and sweet moments, you can add this in your watch list. There are good moments as well as bad moments that might not sit well with you but it entirely depends on the watcher or the viewer. This series is still a good watch for me, the premise is not unique because it's common but you can still be entertained in watching it... :)
