So I wasted 16 hours of my precious life for this disappointment of a drama? Yes, I purely watched this because of JKY as I've known him since Come and Hug Me, Search WWW and Kill It, but even his good looks couldn't save this drama. As I'm talking about him, let's start about his character. First of all his acting felt robotic to me in this drama, and I have to say even he's not a GREAT actor, but I like his acting to a certain point. But here, no. Nope.

Let's not talk about SHK. Like i don't even expect anything from her anymore. The only drama I like of her is DOTS. And even that is mainly because of Song Joong Ki. I don't like her acting, and the characters she plays are boring.

Let's talk about the side characters. I liked the story of HCS and SDH, the second leads. I think almost everyone here will agree with me, their story n chemistry was better than the main leads. And SYJ, Jae Gukcs ex sis-in-law, man she was frustrating. Like bro, your fiancee is cheating on you, and she woman he's with doesn't even know about your existence, how'd it her fault that he died. And I disliked how she mixed personal and professional things.

I absolutely loved Sehun. I'm not an EXO-L, but I like them. And watching Sehun calling Ha Young nuna nuna was cute. I know this is not his first drama as he was a main lead of a 3 episode mini drama. His screen time was not so much, but i enjoyed watching him on the screen. And I liked that him and his sunbae ( that girl ) got together at the end.

Let's not go towards the story. I've given it 1 cuz there wasn't any lesser option. I can't believe myself that i stuck to this one. God my head hurts. And I don't even waste my time writing this review, but i wanted to express my disappointment and guys, if you're here reading reviews before starting this show, please, don't watch this drama. You'll thank me and all those people who have written here. Don't waste your time.

Can't be compared to dramas like FIYS, TKA at all.

Here I am after finishing 'Gank Your Heart' in the middle of my 12th Boards Viva. I'm not gonna rant today and will just list the things I liked and disliked in this show.

Things I liked :

» I really liked that they showed international championships in this one. I think I've watched most of the E-Sports C-Dramas and this is the only one that shows International stage.

» Pei Xi : ohh Pei Xi...( sighing with content ) I can write a whole page about him. He was the star of the show for me. He was an introvert star player in the show who grows as a person and learns about teamwork with time. At first I thought he's gonna be the typical 2nd lead : woo Qiu Ying, but what a plot twist he was for me. No, it's not like *plot twist* plot twist, you get what I mean right? And his smile is just so sweet. Me being an introvert I get this character, sometimes we want to make friends, to get to know people, but don't know how. We get lonely, but still prefer to stay alone. Pei Xi was the biggest fanboy of Xiang Kong that he offered to fake date Ying so that Kong's training won't be disturbed. And his moments with Xia Ling were so satisfactory. He was a great friend, a great team member, and everything good. I'll stop here. I was going to drop this show around 26th episode, but I didn't just because of Pei Xi.

» I really liked the moments when Oiu Ying stood up for herself. Even if she's not a spy or heiress or a female CEO or something, she was strong as a woman and didn't let people walk all over her. Even if I didn't like her in the first few episodes as all she did was just cry cry and cry, I warmed up to her.

» Luo Tian was a great mentor and friend to Qiu Ying. I knew he liked her ! But i was a little sad that he didn't confess, but i get it, he knew Qiu Ying wouldn't accept him as she just saw him as a mentor/teacher and friend. He was happy to see her happy.

» shoutout to Shu Wen, Summer, Sun Ze Yi and Lin Yi Xuan. They were great supports.

Things I didn't like :

» oh Xiang Kong, how much will you hurt our Ying Ying? He clearly has low EQ. In the last few episodes were just - I don't even know how to write it. I get it, before ex, Mi Ya is your childhood bestie. She doesn't have any family so you're talking care of her. But that doesn't mean you gonna ignore Ying Ying now !

» the matches : the main element of an E-Sports drama is E-Sport matches. But after watching dramas like YAMG, FIYS, TKA, GGS, GGS2, LS, I had so much expectations from this one. But this drama didn't even reach the half of it in this case. I didn't fill the thrill, the excitement - just nothing. I think i only watched the Finale match in last episode and skipped others.

Conclusion :

I admit, I watched till end just because of Pei Xi. The last episode was full of everything, but still felt a little you know empty to me. Like there was no WOW factor. Will i watch it again? Never. Did I dislike this show? Of course not. But did i like it? Definitely no.

PS : oh I did rant again.

A show filled with everything.

First of all, the main reason I gave this show a chance was the main leads. It's Seven Tan and Timmy Xu ! What could go wrong? I really liked Go Ahead and Timmy Xu's City Of Streamer and Addicted. That's why I was like, what could go wrong with these two?

And i was so right. Actually I regret that i didn't watch it before, because I stumbled upon this one a few months back but didn't even looked at the description.

As i wrote in the title, this show has everything one can ask for - a strong and smart female lead, a caring and NOT cold nor statue male lead, a sweet second lead who got the girl, friendship goals, gang/ crime theme, no backstabbing friends, no bitchy siblings and most important: freakin' great chemistry. I really didn't have any expectations when i started this, but the moment the main leads looked at each other in the 1st episode, i knew I'm gonna binge watch it in a day or two. Oh their eyes...their eyes spoke so much. The longing looks, the pain, the affection, the love it was just so good. The only thing i was sad for was that XiaoJian didn't live to the end. The scene in the last episode when he was being taken away in the car and saw XiaoXiao when he looked back - his eyes were full of regret, love and and apology and best wishes ; like he knew he wasn't gonna make it out this time and that's why he left her, even it meant hurting her. I felt so bad for him. He lost his father when he was little, was called names, had to drop out and give up a bright future, lost his granny, lost uncle Li, XiaoXiao and most important of all , he lost himself in the process. And even he was working for the country, for the good, everyone he cared for only got to know after he died.

The main lead had the least screentime in the drama and in a drama I've ever watched. It was like not even 2 whole episode worth screentime. Still, the moments they had, those were just so good. My heart hurt for them and I cried so much in the shower today.

The show was so good that I want to watch it again. But I don't think my heart can take it again. Oh, it was just everything. Even if XiaoJian died, it was real, it felt realistic this way. Cause if he came back, it wouldn't be real and would've felt exaggerated. This drama was just so realistic that I felt i wasn't just a viewer, I was there, with them under an invisible cloke and could feel each of their emotions and feelings. This drama made me laugh, cry and envy the friendship they had. I don't even know why it is so underrated here.

People who are reading this, give it a try.

One word : Chemistry

I've known Timmy Xu since 'Addicted' came out. Then i forgot about him. While I was browsing here I found this drama and i have to say if i had to describe this in 2 words then those would be Chemistry and Slow burn.

I'm writing a mini review here so i won't say much. If it's Timmy Xu, then get ready for a drama filled with intense looks, great chemistry and slow burn romance.

The main leads were great. I don't need to talk about chemistry right? The story was so unique and refreshing. Normally i don't watch dramas where they portray stories from the 80s or 90s no matter how famous they are. But thank God i decided to watch this. Definitely a great show.

Fell for Xiao Zhan

Okay, I just finished the drama, so the feelings are so fresh. First thing first, it is the first time I've watched a drama of Xiao Zhen, and i have to say, I couldn't help but fall for him. He is a great actor. I've seen Yang Zi in GGS and AoL and I like her.

The story was unique and really satisfying to watch. The emotional scenes were brilliantly done. And ohh...the OSTs ; they were just so beautiful.

I cried and I laughed with the leads. The supporting characters and the other two couples were great too, but i really felt bad for San San when when Gu Xiao left without any word. The breakup between the leads was so intense and I really liked how Zhi Xiao gave Gu Wei a piece of her mind. Even if she was not a badass, she was strong, passionate and her love for music really inspired me. The family scenes were so well done.

One of the most beautiful dramas I've ever watched. From story to OST, from cinematography to acting, everything was great. And those ' Little Theatre ' moments at the end of the episodes were pretty adorable to watch.

ps : if you're searching for a show with great chemistry between the leads and brilliantly done emotional/serious scenes, this is for you.

ps2 : special shoutout to Qiu Qiu, our little Cupid

Definitely not bad at all, a whole package of everything.

So I just finished the drama and i have to say, this was one of the most realistic ones I've ever seen. The pace was a little slow for me, i know, every moment of these 40 episodes were important in their own way, but if it was just 5 episodes less, it would've been so much better and pleasant to watch. The middle part of the show was a little bit boring to me, cuz there was just so much going on and there were so many characters that i couldn't even remember who was who sometimes. But this is the realistic part of this show. Cause in real life, these type of operations are like this (maybe?). You don't just form a squad and to some investigation and you're done. No. It's not like this at all in real life. Sometimes you may face constant failures, sometimes you get fed up - being in this for a long time. I have to say, the production team really did try to portray this as real as possible.

Now to the actors and characters, I like Yang Mi and Vin Zhang, having watched them in Eternal Love, Love O2O, Eternal Love Dream, Rattan, The Interpreter, etc.

I really liked Ma Shang. He was professional, serious when needed, funny, a good son, a good friend and a good agent. I won't write much about him, you guys get my point.

Now coming to An Jing, i really like dramas with strong female leads/characters and this drama gave me just that. She was a great leader, a really good friend and a responsible daughter. The moments when she used to motivate her subordinates was one of the scenes i liked.

Now coming to the supporting characters, the parents of Ma Shang were really cool and caring at the same time. I wish I had parents like them. An Jing's mom and his boyfriend were great too. The other two of the squad, Meng and Zi Xuan were great too. I was going to write something now, but i don't wanna spoil this drama for others. Just gonna say : I really really didn't expect it.

Shoutout to Miao Fei, Cheng Li, Xiao Li and Yang Xun. They were great supports.

The drama tried to show the real life of agents of NSS, how they have to hide things from their family, how they have to deal with their past, how success is never certain. This show was a whole package : it had the story of business world, national security, family, friendship, teamwork and a little bit of romance.

So the main question, did I like it? Not that much as it was too long for me. But is it a bad drama? Definitely not. Watch it if you're interested in these agent or business type of theme.

Fell for Yoo Ah In . Even he's the "bad guy here(?)

First of all, I don't know why I hadn't watched any of YAI's drama but I just fell for his acting. His eyes speak so much. I haven't watched any of his dramas before and I regret it. The way he was immersed in the character, you'd feel he really was the bad guy and all these things were real. Whenever he spoke in this drama, except for his last 10 mins of life, there was something dark in them. Like he knew all your secrets and using them to manipulate you but you couldn't understand it and just following cuz the was supposedly the "good guy". Whenever he was speaking, his eyes spoke a lot more and they gave me chills. I'm a fan of him now. Gonna watch his other dramas.

Now coming to the story I think there's gonna be a second season? I hope they do it. Cuz the last scene was a cliffhanger sort of. But if that woman came back, does that mean everyone did too? So what will happen now? But what I didn't understand was the basis of punishment. Like why did the baby was punished. And as YAI's character said, he never committed any sin. And if he was telling the truth then why was he punished? And why after 20 years? Why the prophecy thing happened 20 years before and why only for him and not others? Yes, there were so many plot holes. But still, I liked the mini drama. But yes, I'd like the answers to my questions in the next season.

A Good Revenge Drama.

I just finished this drama and I have to say, the acting was top notch. But one thing I wanted was Dr.Nam to have a major drawback in his plan and for him to start from there , being more determined. I liked his character, but it was like he was a Shin ( God) , and he knew the future and planned according to this. I mean yes, he planned these for 3 years but still, as the future is always uncertain.

The actor who played Lee Jae Jun did a great job and also the actor who played Director Seon. I don't remember if i have watched any drama of Kwon Na Ra but she did her character life and the guy who played her brother, I've seen him in Adult Trainy and I wanted him to have more screen time.

The one who made this drama lively was Ms.Oh. She's just ... I like that character so much. Her and the prosecutor's chemistry was great and the moments in last couple episodes were amusing to watch. I wanted the only couple of this drama to have more screen time as well.

I liked how the arrogant Lee Jae Hwan changed after his time in jail. And one more thing I liked was how the right hand man of Lee Jae Jun was so loyal to him, he was with him through thick and thin. Even if he was an employee on his playroll, it's good to have some people like that. The chemistry between most characters were so intense. And I liked the thing that there was no romance between the main leads. It would've made the drama less intense for me. This drama showed how people can change in just a moment and can do anything for themselves.

I'm excited for the 2nd season of this drama. Hope it will be these same actors playi6 the same characters.

It was good, could be better.

Overall, I liked it. But I'd like it more if it was a full 16 episode one. I watched this because of Ateez. And their acting didn't disappoint me. But still, I wanted more. I wanted more scenes of Ateez members, more of Kwon Ryok and Ma Ha's relationship ; like more of their romance, their commutation, how did they adjusted after they made their relationship public and how they made music etc. I wanted more of Lee Hyun and Ri Ah - they were so cute. And I wanted La Li Ma to find someone.

Like I said, this drama had so much more unsaid that could turn into 16 eps. Like the SHAX's CEO getting slapped by KARMA, the fandoms to accept the idols dating etc.

But the last point, i liked it. This drama really showed what happens behind the scenes of the fairytale K-Pop world. The pain, struggle, hardwork, disappointment, toxic fans etc. - this is the reality.

I don't have to write anymore. I hope they do a season 2.

It's okay-ish?

So I just finished watching this one and I'm gonna say, if you're in here to watch serious romance, then this is not the right drama. Yes, there are so many moments, I liked those, but then again, this is not a romance drama. I was okay with the story? It wasn't like WOW! it was just OKAY-ISH.

The ML was quite good, I liked his acting. I really like the best friend aka second lead here; he was a great friend to both the main leads.

One thing I didn't understand was the last scene. But that scene was real creepy.

I can't say anything about OSTs. I didn't like them much. But BGM really suited the story of this drama.

So did I like it? Not that much.
