A pleasant surprise
This drama was a good surprise for me, since I was expecting something with way less quality. However, it is a good story that keeps you interested until the end.
Initially I had no idea that this is a sequence for another drama (One and Only), but even if you haven't watched the first one (like me), you still can enjoy this one. The thing is that they keep referencing some things from their past lives in a very subtile way. So the story is not heavily dependent on the previous plot, but you can assume small things, and I found that really charming.
I really enjoyed the cinemetography and styling in this drama. Some members of the main family had a traditional yet modern style and I really like it.
Speaking about the plot, the main family is a freaking mess. They kind of give you the creeps at the beginning, especially because you don't know what they're up to, in a way that no one is trustworthy at first. Unfortunatelly, the ML is trapped in this family situation, even tho he only wants to live a simple life.
The main leads are just amazing. Even without watching One and Only, you can feel their chemistry and how much they care about each other. I feel that the ML got misunderstood by some viewers, and that really annoyed me. He seems a bit indiferent at first, due to how strange their first meeting was, but he'd never actually play hard to get, and they ended up engaging in a virtual friendship for many months. I confess that initially I didn't understand why FL was so crazy over him, but after some episodes I got it: He's just adorable. He's reserved, kind and a little bit akward, but he doesn't let people order him around. I found these characteristics really refreshing, especially because he's a young heir and usually, this type of character would be really assertive and hilarious, so it was nice to see a different touch to it.
The FL is just an amazing woman. I swear... I've never seen a woman so deeply and crazy over a man in such a refreshing way. Not only that, she is very down to earth, sweet and mature. It's not shocking that so many men were crazy about her.
There were some scenes after their marriage that really made me think: wow, this is love. The way they just remain by each other side, even in the simpliest matters, through good and bad times, are just so marriage-like that it actually felt real.
This drama, just like any other, is not perfect. By the end, there are some over the top scenes that felt too much like a mexican soap opera. Also, we only get to see one single kiss right at the beginning, because they cut EVERYTHING ELSE. There is actually a lot f moments where they're intimate, especially after their marriage, but we didn't get to see any kiss after their first one, having them only implying things or straight up cutting it, which is weird because none of the characters is weird about that. They actually openly talk about the topic in a very natural way, so it felt so unecessary, like, why not? There are also some annoying characters, but overall, it is a very high quality drama, with charming leads and some good supporting characters.
