I tend to understand the culture and stand point of this country just watching 13 eps...

This is my 2nd republican cdrama series since I am not that fond of this genre.
Acting wise they all are superb in owning each of their characters and roles.
Story wise - very enlightening, you would understand why this country has been gate keeping their gov't and people. The damage they got from the war is very devastating and horrible for esp the innocents. I would not wonder why they become who they are today (but please do not think I condone their unacceptable actions and decisions)

This is how good this story is for making me see the other side of China and their govt.

Update: completed
Never regretted watching it til the end. This story is full of angst, sadness, frustrations and heartaches but yet, love each scenes of it.
This reminded me not to watch another republican war themed cdrama (2nd from Arsenal Military) unless I feel like torturing myself.

Go wath this with no expectation and with open mind and you will love it.

A Cdrama off the usual trope.

I was looking for a modern cdrama that I can say, this is a very realistic drama and this series didn't disappoint.

This is not the usual cdrama trope you are used to, where a FL fall and will be caught by the ML in the waist, turn and in slow motion (this is very cringey scene for me BTW), an accidental kiss and all that you can think of cheesy and cringey scenes.

The story line didn't disappoint as well!! the plot has been laid out clearly, in fact I learn so much about the business in China nowadays, learnt how they can possibly manifest the business world and the market. Proved how powerful vloggers are in Weibo as well as the trending or # influences. I was like WOW!! so this is how it is!!

I love how matured our leads are!!! No cringey jealousy and act stupid - this is how I always wanted for leads! to hold their jealousy and be the bigger person, This drama gave me all and I am very very satisfied.

So what are you staring at reading? Go watch it now!! Like NOW :D

Could do a better on lesser episodes

I love stories like this, divorced couple getting back together.
This has started strong but getting round in circles in mid episode (20s).
the presence of Xue Wei Lin is getting annoying, I don't think a high calibre lawyer would swallow all his pride even seeing the very obvious evidence that both couple are still into each other. Their scenes are getting cringy.

Couple's problem was not address when they got divorced, reading between the lines will never work . We have to consider that even you have known each other for the longest time there are still individual indifferences and couple should talk and communicate, compromise and understand.

I might wait til it's done so I can forward scenes.

I'd be back when its completed.

A piece of my mind...

I don't know how to start but, let me tell you that I am still in Ep. 5 and I want to share my thoughts while I still have it. This will be my initial rate but, it may change once I finish the drama.

Acting wise - I have no complaints for the cast's acting since they are always brilliant. ML has been my fave for a while now, especially from his movie "tune in for love". He can naturally act, the way he conveys his emotions thru his eyes which is a mark of a very good actor. FL, I haven't had the chance to explore her dramas which he plays main role but, I always admire her in "Love in the moonlight". and watching her in this drama is never a disappointment.
Kang In-Wook (Kim Sung-kyu) undeniably a very good actor since I watched the Kingdom series.

Music score - I love all the songs cause it always gives you the real feeling in every scene, it helps you find the emotions.

Plot - From Ep. 5: I wish it is more realistic. The AI is somewhat questionable, well I got a lot of questions while they are using it. A device is as good as the information you feed them. It seems like they feed them feelings and inner thoughts of Ji Su and it is kinda off for me. This does not stop me from keep on watching it though, I will just ignore and play along as if it is doable. This could be doable if the creator is high and mighty.

That's a piece of my mind on this drama for now. I will sure return to complete my ratings and review. Overall it is enjoyable.

Edit: And I have returned after 24hrs. I have raised my rating to 8/10, some of the plot can be turned a blind eye on it, don't rationalize it :). The story still gives me the warmth and forgiveness. Highly admired Ha Won's character because he is a really kind and compassionate person. He loved with all his heart, know when to stop and move on, not filled with anger and very forgiving.
Seo woo may have the positivity in her but HW has the best character. Go ahead and watch it!
