This show is like a extremely perfect mix ratio Chocolate (2019) and My Liberation Notes [MLN] (2022)... Like its chracters driven like MLN but follow as classic revenge tale like Chocolate... the result comes out to be this near perfect show that aces the term "growth story"

Just like Hwal in Bulgasal, Van here is a tormented immortal male lead who wants to be free from living a life an abomination, a tasks that only the female lead can help the him achive...because of a promise made hundreds of years ago .........

But Island definately has a better pacing and lottttt more action than Bulgasal ever had...

Preety much identical, has a cursed lead who is not happy about his meaningless existence, a cheeky female lead, decent comedy but the 2nd romance takes the cake for me than the main one

Has the same Hospic setting, with a emotional personal melodrama story, and also the storytelling is much more flavourfull than the blandness of If you Wish Upon Me

Like Goblin but with a very slow-burn romances and original concepts about Korea's own renditions of vampires
