Like it!

In fact, even the first episode was enough to capture my attention. There are only a few things I dislike in this drama, but it's not to the point of deep hatred, I guess? It kind of bothered me when the FL chose to date another guy while being in love with Sena, but I kind of emphasized with her. She was unsure of how their relationship would turn out as she was afraid of ruining their friendship, and also, they didn't talk about their feelings. They were both going back and forth, and hence, took them a long time to finally be together. So, that's okay and understandable. Still, the main issue is that she continues to go out with Mr. Sugisaki, who is making an effort to slowly introduce his life to her, even though at some point, her initial relationship with Sena took a turn and she broke up with him (Mr. Sugisaki). It was unfair for Mr. Sugisaki actually, who seems to be her rebound. In the end, they did it, which technically means she cheated. I am grateful that they broke up after that, but still, I feel heartbroken for Mr. Sugisaki.

On the other hand, I was surprised by how fast the ML suddenly fell in love with the FL. It took one kiss HAHAHAAA. Also, it's ironic that her junior seems to know her thoughts really well and was the one pushing them (all of them) to confess their feelings and advising them about it (though she seems insensitive sometimes).

But despite that, there are a lot of things I like, such as their acting and chemistry. The way they express their character and deliver the lines really impressed me. It all seemed natural, you know? The storyline and pacing are also well done! The side characters were given some screen time and equally highlighted their part without being too much. It's hard to explain, but overall, the stories of the main couple and the side couple were portrayed in a natural way. There was no conflict between the two. It's like what it is. Anyway, I really like it. The comedy and drama also do not look forced.

So, it was a good watch! Really enjoyed the drama!

Okay??

I don't know what to feel about this drama. The build-up romance parts were lacking in a way that although the first 4 episodes revolved around them being acquainted and slowly having feelings for each other, it felt too fast yet slow. I honestly enjoyed watching this, but that is mainly because of the cast as I recently finished "Long Vacation".

Other than that, I think that the characters of the two leads are toxic. First, the FL actually slept with the ML before her supposed fiancée called it quits. Second, the ML keeps accepting any women who flirt with him while he is in the middle of a relationship like wtf. Third, the ML did not end his past lingering affection for his ex before entering a new relationship, leading to constant misunderstanding, mistrust, and arguments between the two of them (which is the focus of the last 4 episodes). Lastly, I think the FL should have realized that ML still hasn't totally moved on from his ex and I am aware of why she gets jealous, but she should have known that some things will happen no matter how much she gaslighted herself. I see she chose to trust him and was happy that he confessed but what can you expect from a guy who looked quite happy when he saw a girl (who is also her friend) inviting him in his bed?

So, I understand why she wants to break up completely because as they say, "a broken trust is hard to recover" and like what the FL just experienced, she keeps overthinking that something happened between the ML and his ex even though he already apologized for what happened previously.

Anyway, I am surprised by the FL acting here because her character differs from "Long Vacation" and also their chemistry! It's also good.

Family centered drama

This drama focuses more on family issues rather than their love life, which I find quite unexpected yet disappointing. That is because, for me, it didn't particularly show enough scenes that made me feel like the ML would eventually like her. They lack almost everything. At this point, I find the romance unnecessary. They should have been friends instead. Sadly, the "searching the thrown away tube paint" wasn't sufficient as the "turning point of their relationship" scene for me. That being said, although I enjoyed their family disputes a lot, the lack of romance, and small attention to the ML's problems left me feeling like the story is incomplete.

Good pacing but toxic characters

The pacing is good. The acting performances are quite good, too, though ML's acting could be performed better as there are moments when I feel like his acting is awkward (his onscreen presence as the lead is also weak). The stories of side couples are interesting as well. However, I am quite bothered by the "cheating" part, regardless of the "feeling neglected" reason. I wish she had first brought up the issue and talked with her husband instead, and when nothing still happened, she could have left him (not cheat on him btw). I think her ex-husband truly loved her, but I don't know. Maybe just distracted?

As for the other side couple, I was disappointed when the girl agreed to have a one last night with her "sugar daddy" when she and the other guy seemed to be in a relationship. Really, I feel like all of them have toxic flaws, but whatever.

I feel the FL, though, in the part of being afraid to fall in love and fully trust someone. The influence of the environment can truly bring you trauma. Anyway, the chemistry between the two leads is not that strong. I rate it as average or, maybe sometimes, even below.

Fast paced and cringy acting

Two things: Fast-paced and "too much" acting

For some reason, the whole movie feels like, "We don't have much time. We need to finish this quickly, " breaking the plot's natural flow. I like the plot, actually, just not the pace.

Another thing is the acting, particularly the FL. I am not sure if she is exaggerating her acting for the sake of comedy, but sometimes, it becomes so much that it bothers me instead. On the other hand, the ML's acting is alright. I think he did good.

Touching

I guess what impressed me the most with this movie was the female lead's acting. I liked how she acted on her scenes and character. She really aced this one. Both performances of the leads were great, but the female lead left a deep impression on me.

Anyway, plotwise, I researched the original story (the real-life one), and I realized they changed it a little. I still like it, though. The storyline is not lacking. It successfully captures what they want to show, from how they met to how they eventually married after what happened.

Also! I am moved by the guy's loyalty, as he stayed and waited until the end. The girl, on the other hand, was understanding, I think? She handled her situation calmly, especially when she was introduced to her supposed-to-be fiancée without remembering who he was. I also loved her effort in trying to remember him.

Overall, it was a great touching movie.

Umm...

Actually, I initially couldn't bear to continue this movie. At first, the female lead's character was so bad as that is one of the people I disdain the most. The peer pressure, gaslighting, etc., she did make me uncomfortable. So, I dropped it. Then, for some reason, I picked it up again.

I thought that the "Professor" would date her after she turned 18, a legal age. However, I was proved wrong lol. But then, I tried to understand him. He probably thought he didn't have much longer to live, so he pushed it. Otherwise, he couldn't contain his feelings, but as an adult who is 18 years older, he should have been rational. But then again, regardless of his reasons, I wished that he hadn't given the girl any hope, or maybe he could, but he should have firmly rejected her, considering his situation, their age gap, and her still being a minor. She might have experienced awful things at a young age which caused her to mature way too early, but that's the more reason.

I don't know what occurred that made him suddenly kiss her and take one closer step into the relationship as she even got into his house. Still, I was disappointed.

Though I'm glad that the female lead had character development, for some reason, it felt too sudden. I can understand why she cut off her previous relations, but not in a way that she suddenly became soft-hearted. For me, there should have been an additional drive that changed her step-by-step. Anyway, as for the acting, I don't know, I think it lacks a little.

Everything is lacking

I understand the synopsis. It should be angsty, sad, and heartbreaking, but I didn't feel that at all. I almost couldn't continue watching the movie because of disappointment, as it didn't reach my expectations.

First of all, the acting of both leads needs improvement here, especially the FL. I couldn't feel their frustration, hope, want, sadness, and how desperate they were. The narration and their lines mention their emotions and reactions, but I couldn't see it in their faces.

On the other hand, the storyline feels so rushed. They say they were happy together, they had fun, etc. etc. But the movie barely showed their affection. So, I couldn't sympathize with them because it was lacking.

Also! the plot and characters (the way they were written) are faulty like there were many plot holes, which should be there but seem to be forgotten after. Anyway, everything feels missing.

The male lead frustrate me

Great! It's not really applicable in reality because who would pick up a random guy along the road and trust that person to live in your house for months? Lol, not me. Still, as a fictional movie, I liked it. It's comforting to watch. One thing that bothers me is that the male lead left and only wrote "Thank you", then came back like nothing happened. Although he said that it is for him to become a better version of himself or whatever, I am surprised that he really trusted the female lead not to find another romantic partner. He should have mentioned in his letter to wait for him because who knows what will happen in a few months when he's not there? Also! What's wrong with sharing his last name or what he does in life? It's not that big of a deal, just say he ran away to find his own path, that's all. Do not suddenly leave like that without any explanation.

I have so many complaints about him, but anyway, I still liked it overall.

Cliffhanger

Cliffhanger!!!

Putting aside my problems with this drama, I was surprised that I actually liked it. I wasn't expecting anything at first. The synopsis doesn't even look interesting to me, as I just randomly started the drama on a whim. I don't even know why I watched this, even though I initially did not like the plot introduction.

But the first few episodes were great! The bickering between the two leads was cute. I guess my problem was they took so long to confess their feelings. All the time, I was like, "Come on, say it!" And they never did. But still, I guess the issue was that they were friends. And they are circumstances that friends don't want to ruin what they have now. Also! probably because they don't know if the other feels the same, which is obviously nonsense, because girl, I'm gonna say, friends don't look at their friends that way. They even held hands and how they look at one another like it was so obvious! All that is missing is a "boyfriend-girlfriend" label, and they're good.

Another thing is that it felt short as I wanted to see more of their life after getting together.

For the cast, this might be my first drama of hers, but Suzu's acting here is great. I liked it. Btw, she's so pretty.

Average

Honestly, this one was average at best. It's like a typical romance that I often see in some novels or dramas. The storyline is nothing special to me. I just like the youthful feeling it gives and I guess the cast? They're cute.

The storyline, on the other hand, contains no complicated plot. There may be a second male lead, but after getting rejected, he was like "Okay. Bye bye, Good luck." Also! I know the male lead is characterized as straightforward, but he really should learn how to say it nicely. Though he apologized for it, what he said hurt (really). Anyway, overall, it's a good movie I think (though it does not belong to one of my favorites), especially when you are in the mood for a not-so-complex plot, like you just want to see something romantic for a moment. Also! One good thing about it is that it's pretty much a story that flows naturally, so it does not feel rushed that much.

I love and hate this drama

Excuse my limited vocabulary

I liked the first 5 episodes. UNTIL the "President" came over to somehow live with them temporarily. I know it is because of work and all, and I was trying to understand that, but it still bothered me a lot as I expected the female lead to put more distance the moment it became an issue.

I also hated the part where the "President" did not put more effort into creating a distance, knowing the girl already had a boyfriend.

The last 5 episodes generally circulate within the "President" coming into their lives, disturbing their first phase as lovers, getting jealous of each other crush/ex, and going down different paths. The worst thing about it is that I can't feel the boyfriend-girlfriend relationship between them apart from when they are deciding what to do next or their short moments.

Meanwhile, I hate the male lead for not trying to communicate with her (I mean, he sometimes did, but only sometimes!). The female lead is "almost" always the one taking the first step. I also hated him for that part when the girl was also getting jealous over his ex, and he was like, "I have no time for this," like, wtf. I expected more from a couple that has "good communication." However, it is already a miracle that nothing big issue happens frequently since they are polar opposites.

But really, at some point, I just want both of them to break up. That's just me. I might be the only one uncomfortable with the setup because of my different views on relationships.
