Funny, endearing and romantic
I really love this piece of fluff, and after watching back-to-back only korean and chinese drama for about 4 years I was beginning to sink in a slump. But this Drama plays so well with all its tropes, is unashamedly romantic and has sweet side characters. The main Couples chemistry is so great, both have flaws and they are just on fire with all their squabbling. Definitely a win for me, wish it was longer! Lee Jun Young is amazing as always, I loved him in Love and Leashes and the FL is very good, too. My secret fav is the boxing sister, though. She is hilarious and sweet-ish.Was this review helpful to you?
What was this?
This was probably the whackiest of C-Dramas I have watched until now. I have to admit I am more into K-Drama, but like the occasional C-Drama because they are so unashamedly...unashamed. Romantic, OTT, CEO's are evil and they mostly end in a wedding, which I love. Also, I am a sucker for the "bad-guy-falls-in-love-with-good-girl-and-is-less-unbearable"-Trope. I watched this because I saw a clip on Twitter and unfortunately that scene was in Episode 1. Still, it was strangely magnetic. What I disliked:
- The make-up was so bad. ML looked like a Vampire, and he is extraordinarily handsome, so it was difficult to make him look bad. Kudos. The FL was very beautiful but in every situation perfectly made-up.
- Acting was super stiff, only the bad second SML and the Mom were credible IMO.
- Storyline was too unbelievable even for me and I liked Dramas like Crash Landing on You and several escapist dramas. ML changed from Red Flag to lightest green in 2 episodes and was too boring after that for me. And I like Green-Flag-Guys, like Ryan Gold, Ri Jong Hyeok, Jin Moo Hak and the sweet guy from Hidden love.
- Far too much into silly Making-territory.
- FL seemed to be an intelligent woman and was sold as such but behaved incredibly silly and immature in so many situations. It's a pity, she could have been a great character with better writing, IMO.
What I liked:
- ML was really good as an ass...e CEO and the Main Couple was so hot for it. Believable and really...hot.
- ML looked great, even if the acting was not to my personal taste. He ist lovely to look at, minus the Make-up and with disheveled hair. I wondered if he is short sighted, bc of his unnerving stare.
- Good kissing
- The Office Team was nice.
- FL did not speak with a squeaky Micky Mouse voice and dressed nicely.
It has very mixed reviews, so try it out, if aforementioned topics don't bug you.

Underrated drama
I really liked this drama and don’t understand why it is so hated by many. I don’t watch Kdrama for the credibility but for the entertainment value, maybe that’s it. The. Leads had great chemistry, I love Ji Chang Wook, whose eyes can tell stories and Won Jin Ah who was so good in Just between Lovers. The only thing I really disliked was the crass comedic acting of some of the comic reliefs. If you can get over that in the first episodes, it is an interesting concept with romantic and funny moments. I am happy that I started it despite the poor reviews. Was this review helpful to you?
lovely Escapism
I don’t really know why I love that drama so much. I watched it as palate cleanser after my CLOY-obsession, a friend recommended it. And it was so amazing. I am not even interested in technology. Yoon Hyun Min was great as the ML, he is really eyecandy and there was a lot to see of him😉 Also, he dressed so well. My heart went out to him as Ko Nan Do and I also liked the FL. She was struggling so hard but overcame a lot. There could have been more kissing, but the romance was sweet and tore on my heartstrings somehow. I love my Tsundere hero with a heart of gold. Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet RomCom with great chemistry
I loved it. It was entertaining and funny, but also had some moments of reflection and sadness. The story is nothing new but the execution was great. Junho is an amazing actor, in tragic as in funny scenes, those who have also seen him in ‚Just between lovers‘ or TRS know what I mean. He is terrific and very expressive and looks smashing in his array of suits and coloured shirts. Lim YoonA is not a favorite actress of mine, I used to think she is somewhat…bland, although she is very funny in interviews. But her chemistry with LJH was very natural and she did a great job. My favourite apart from Junho was his secretary and the whole six-siblings-bunch. And of course Sarangs Granny, who was great. I loved how the comedic moments were, apart from the ending of the first episode, not overdone. Gu Won fainting was never not funny to me. So, I don’t think too much about it, I was looking forward to well acted fun and it delivered. Half a point off for the horrendous Product Placement. And for the title which I still don’t comprehend. #ThankYouKingTheLandWas this review helpful to you?
Lovely, healing and heartwrenching
Lovely: the village folk, to see JCW reunited with his surrogate mom from Healer, the beautiful chemistry between the leads and their families.Healing: the scenery, the ocean, how to deal with your first love when he/she is suddenly very much back in your life?
Heartwrenching: JCW looking at SHS and vice versa. So excited for romance to come (Back). Her backstory in Seoul. The sister with the kid - interested in her story!
I love it so far. Relatable emotions and great acting. I like both leads very much and the have great chemistry. Can’t wait for more.
