Excellent show

I loved this as much as I loved the Story of Yanxi Palace. I will rewatch this often.
The romance was so beautiful. The story line was great. I was desperate to watch every two episodes every Tuesday. It had mystery, romance and action. The best. I didn't want it to end. Their chemistry was on point. I would love to see Park Hyung Sik and Jeon So Nee together in a tv show again. I loved Lee Tae Sun's character. I loved them all. I would recommend this tv show to everyone. I need another one to watch.

The ending ruined it for me

I literally stayed up until the next morning watching. It captivated me from the beginning. I wish she had become his concubine from the beginning, and she then the other concubines would be jealous because love trumps everything. But that was not what happened.

The King's grandfather irritated me because he never trusted his grandson's choices. He treated him like a child. This was before the dementia. After the dementia, it got worse. Finally he accepted that he couldn't rule.

I loved it. I believed in their love. I could feel the sexual tension each time they looked at each other or touched. It was beautiful until the last episode. What a letdown.

Story interesting but too long

Maybe it is because I don't understand the Asia culture, but why does Luo Yun relentlessly chase after a married man. To the point she appears desperate. She attacked Song Yijie at every possible turn and refused to accept that Ke Weixiang wasn't into her.
Yanni was too much, in everyone's business, hugely disrespecting her husband and such a spoiled, bratty whiner. I wasn't surprised when the problems in her marriage exploded. She brought it on herself.
Mrs. Ke was determined not to like Song Yijie. She never gave her a chance. I still don't understand why.
Grandma and Grandpa were lovely. They were funny.
Couldn't understand why Song Yijie was so determined to end her marriage without giving her husband a chance, which she did in the end.
The story lines sometimes became silly.
Overall, the show was funny and cutely romantic, but way too long.

The best K-drama

I loved this. She was funny as the Queen and strong. Her acting was superb. I loved him as the King. His character was weak at first. It was a pleasure watching him grow strong. Their romance was sweet. Watching them fall in love, I felt it as I fell in love also. Hilarious after they made love for the first time. The finding out about the pregnancy funny. The guy playing Byung-in was excellent, I hated him. The Dowager Queens hated them. Loved Lady Choi and Hong Yeon and the Ma-Buk. The whole show was superb. Now I have to find another equally as good.
