No comparison to ALSB

This will only contain minor spoilers!
I am not sure how I finished this drama. It is no comparison to other school/Univeristy dramas like A love so beautiful and Put your head on my shoulder, the male lead was awful, good looking but could not act while the female lead is young she was ok. There was zero chemistry between them. They liked each other from the beginning but took around 30 episodes/3-4 years to get together. By the time they do get together they are 20 or so but behaved like very young teens. They hide their relationship and separate for a year all in the last few episodes so you hardly get to see any sweet moments. The change in the FL jumped, dramatically at times, from dark skinned to pale, her dress sense from jeans and jumpers to wearing blazers! Their were 2 other couples which were fillers and not overly interesting. The only reason why I didnt drop this drama was because i didn't have anything else to watch at the time, next time I feel this way i will rewatch a good drama and not waste my time!

Enjoyable Watch

I watched the 1 and 2nd season back to back. I was unsure about Dylan Wang to start with as thought Arthur Chen did a great job in Season 1. But after a few episodes I got used to Dylan and his chemistry with FL was very good. They changed some of the other cast and I did prefer the orignal. A lot of people found the first half dull as the 2 leads were constantly running away from those trying to kill them but I liked it best. I enjoyed the interaction of the leads and how loving they were with each other and the exciting fights as they tried to escape. Once they were separated and the it concentrated on the power struggle of the Palace, I skipped a lot, I just wanted the leads back together! I have mixed feelings on the ending, I would prefer a more definite no guessing ending, either way you could consider it a happy one. It has made me want to read the novel to see how the story really ends. I would say both seasons were as good as the other, different but equally enjoyable and easy watch.

Too long and repetitive

Started off promising but dragged on for too long and female lead repeatedly didn't trust the male lead despite him proving his character over and over again which made it a very frustrating watch. Her character didn't develop at all. The male lead played his role well. He was clever, strong and romantic! The side character's romance was cute but they had too much screen time. I skipped a lot trying to get to the end as was keen to see how it concludes. The story idea was good but was let down by the script.

Saved by the 2nd couple!

Overall I did enjoy this drama. The 4 lives broke the story up and kept me interested. The ML acting was stiff and awkward, he did not portray any emotions at all and had the same expression throughout the whole drama. FL was good, each time she was reborn there were subtle differences. I didn't particularly enjoy their story and didn't see how and why the ML fell so hard for that he risked his life over and over again for her. The stars of the show were the 2nd couple and their love story. Both played their parts well and I found myself skipping to their scenes.

Plenty of Ups and Downs

Well worth the wait. All actors were amazing from the main leads to all the supporting actors. There are plenty of romantic moments, lots of angst, exciting fighting scenes, humour, friendship, even the baddies were not annoying, they drove the story. One of the few dramas where I barely fast foward scenes, I was interested in all the characters. The music was moving and really added to the mood of the scenes. Although I thoroughly enjoyed watching this, I am not sure if i could watch it again knowing what happens throughout, perhaps will revsit my favourite parts!!

Start this with open eyes!

This love story was doomed from the beginning, like Romeo and Juliet. The main leads are from different dynasties, one fighting against the other. I decided to watch this despite knowing it doesn't end well and it was really worth the ride. The chemistry between main leads is undeniable and they have so many cute moments. the story does jump all over the place and there isn't really conclusions to any of the main plots. It mainly revolves around the couple and their story with a few side couples thrown in. I really enjoyed this series and will watch my favourite parts again.

Don't let the 60+ eps put you off

I was very reluctant to start this drama due to the number of episodes, 40 tends to be my maximum attention span. However after seeing clips on YouTube I couldn't resist.
The episodes flew by, lots of characters and drama to keep you interested. There were some shady characters but none of them were nearly as bad as some villians in lots of other dramas I have seen. The rich parents actually loved their children and wanted the best for them. Shows somewhat reality of people blinded by greed and making wrong choices. The SML personality was too perfect, it was a shame it didn't show him with a happy ending, although very subtle hints indicate he probably wouldn't be single for long. I didn't particularly like the actors playing the main leads, their chemistry was lacking a little but they acted well as did all the cast. For a long drama none of the little side plots dragged on for too long which kept it enjoyable to watch and kept the story moving. I would definitely recommend this drama if you have time to spare!

Snippets of life

I watched this straight after finishing Love Yourself which I also enjoyed. Both telling a story of women around 30 and challenges around life. I found this one more realistic and raw except Man Ni meeting the rich boyfriend, how often does that really happen?! I related to all 3 women in some way and the lifes challenges they faced in terms of marriage, relationship, family, career choices and friendship. It did not necessarily show you the joys of life, of course there are many, but life throws trials all the time and the ones in the story are relatable. All ladies played their roles well, you will cry with them, feel anger when they are wronged, warm when they give each other support. 30s is when you find your real self, grow confidence, become, brave, know your real friends, even if you dont want to and this drama portrays this well.

Worth a watch

This drama is an easy watch. No bad villians, no annoying characters. The four ladies are relatable in some way and have a great supportive friendship. Each of their love lives are told along with family issues. Its not action packed or dramatic but a well acted story of life and relationship challenges. I particularly liked Victoria Songs character (quite similar to her in Find Yourself), her leading man and best male friend. The stories move steadily, concentrating on each lady in turn and then they all meet up regularly. No stilly misunderstandings among them which is refreshing.

Worth watching, improves after ep 15

I definitely enjoyed the 2nd half of the drama more. The 1st 14 or so episodes had repeated misunderstandings between the leads, on a slight bonus they made up pretty quickly after each one. The ML was great in this and the FL played her part well too, just her character is a little annoying especially in the 1st half. The story line isn't outstanding but kept me interested enough. It was mainly light with some quite funny moments which turned more serious as the drama progressed but still ended on a light note which was good. I will rewatch but probably skip up until ep 15!

Refreshing Good Feel Drama

I started watching with little expectations and nearly dropped it after 10 episodes, but after reading some comments I decided to continue watching and i am glad i did.

The beginning dragged and FL was over the top, I skipped a lot. Once they admitted their feelings towards each other then it got interesting. From ep 13 or so it was really good. The main leads have great chemistry. The FL showed she was smart and bold. The side characters were well casted and funny. Especially the FL dad and brothers, best friend. Very few toxic relationships, supportive families which is refeshing. The story revolved around the jealousy of 2 people, kind of a love triangle, female like ML and ML best friend likes the female, pushing them to sabotage ML. Even they were not too annoying as they were always outsmarted really quickly. There were plenty of heart warming as well as laugh out loud moments.

I will rewatch but only from ep 14!

Surprisingly Good

I nearly dropped this after the 1st episode, the actors are all young, acting seem a little over the top with bad dubbing, however stuck with it and fell in love with the 2 leads after a few episodes. The story is refreshing which follows them from last year of school, through university and into their workplace. They face family challenges, backstabbing, third parties trying to split them up but also form great friendships. It wasn't overly dramatic, the story didn't drag, its nice and fluffy at times and other times moving. Overall a very enjoyable drama to pass the time.

Long awaited - left disappointed

I waited until this was fully subbed before watching. I love the FL in all other drama so was looking forward to this. ML I was interested to see how he would perform.
Good points:
No love triangle between leads
No silly misunderstandings
No really annoying characters that you really hated - also bad thing as even the baddies didnt make your blood boil like they should
Now to the bad:
Story really dragged
Major Lack of chemistry between the leads - i wouldnt say the acting was bad but something was missing
Fight scenes were nothing special
Side characters one dimensional

It had all the makings of a good drama but I found the whole thing dull. I skipped loads just to get to the end.

Good balance of sweet and annoying scenes

The main leads get together quite early on so there are lots of sweet romantic moments. There are several woman throughout the drama who fall for the male lead and try to win him / break up the leads. This causes jealously and some friction but they remain strong and communicate and trust each other. There is a mystery with the ML father's death and bits on FL love of money and her business which breaks up the story nicely. The side characters are fun. Overall I enjoyed the drama, nothing stretched out too long to make it a frustrating watch despite the annoying sabotaging females. I found it pretty light hearted easy drama to watch, good filler while waiting for some dramas to finish airing before I start them.

Majorly Underrated

This is on par with Ashes of Love, 10 Miles of Peach Blossom, Princesses Agents in my opinion. The 56 episodes fly by with lots of sub plots introducing new charancters which adds to the main plot. The male lead is perfect, despite the fact he looks pale and ill throughout the drama, when he enters a room or speaks he has a very strong presence and aurora. I fell for him completely. The female lead lacks a little, some of her expressions are not quite convincing but not a bad job. The female villian is great, she shows both vulnerable and evil side well. All supporting cast are good. The fight scenes are beautiful. The romance is ever present which was enjoyable. I immediately rewatched my favourite scenes after completing the drama..... give this a go!
