Yep, this one will twist every emotion they can with this story. I enjoyed it, but sometimes it was a bit too melodramatic and I wish the female lead had more of a spine. She’s so passive it’s a bit painful sometimes. The male lead has to carry a lot of the story and the emotions since she basically bats her gigantic eyes in pain.
Also, the adorable child tends to steal a lot of his scenes. Thank goodness he’s not bratty and it’s his endearing warmth and energy that makes this critical character work.
This is solid viewing and one that holds up over time. If you want to give your heart a workout, this is a good choice.
