Something's off
Unky the best acted character in this show. Off and Gun were oddly not as magnetic together in this one. If this were to be the first series I ever watched with them in it, I would think they had no chemistry together, which leads me to wonder if this production was not rushed. I still would have given this show at least at 7 and 1/2 though if it weren't for the competitor cooking team. Their overacting and sneering was so annoying that I almost called it quits on the whole show. Every time they come on it just ruins the episode for me. I'm on episode 11 and they're in the pool plotting and the way they sneer is so animated and ridiculous. I'm still finishing it for the sake of the top 5 leads. Was this review helpful to you?
Hilariously Fantastic
You won't find any smut here. just get old-fashioned laughs and unique hysterical voiceovers. This is the first time I've seen a Tai show where you can hear their thoughts. Even the parts where it's accidentally going in fast forward just cracks me up. I really really hated the new coming brother, which means his acting was great. He was a villain's villain.I think personally that this show was a genius act. Maybe they just threw it together, but I think that it was done all in great fun. I've dropped plenty of shows but I raised home today to finish the finale. would I have liked more skinship? absolutely! But it was a fantastic show without it. A guilty pleasure.

Timeless Love
Maybe it's an age thing? I'm a Gen X and Im in love with this so far at episode 6! The timeless love is so precious. I was furious with the older one for his intentions to have them never meet. He doesn't want his loved one to die and he would rather lose all that precious time just to save his loved ones life. But on the other hand, it's very unfair of him to make that choice on behalf of his lover. I would have been creeped out by the 10-year age gap but they kept it very innocent and it was clear the kiss was not lip to lip. the whole time I'm like, "where is this kid's parents? why are they sleeping in the same bed? does the bar owner and everyone else just approve this behaviour?" it was weird but I refused to let it interrupt the flow of things for me. Yes, there were minor holes in the story But all in all I can considered it so freaking good so far and thank God I didn't go by the reviews here! Like I said in the beginning of this review, maybe it's an age thing. younger generations have less tolerance for age gaps and touching while one is sleeping. It's not like he fondled him, he gently stroked his hair. Anyway, eight and a half out of 10 recommend! Was this review helpful to you?
Upped the Ante
This has super sad backstory like Bedfriend but has the superb writing and production to supercede Bedfriend in every way. I'm on episode 4 and we have comedy, family drama, angsty teenager drama, workplace drama, extreme childhood trauma, so many feels and no skinship yet which means it can hold its own without the skinship. I don't think I can emotionally handle watching a cliffhanger every week so I am going to wait until this series has all 12 episodes completed. as of right now there's only five. I'll come back and edit this when I've completed the series but let's just say the first 4 episodes are Drama chefs kiss. Was this review helpful to you?
Ping was the best actor
I would have dropped this series if it weren't for the story being very very interesting and Ping was just so darn cute and really good at his character.Guitar seemed a bit off his game. I'm thinking that maybe he was getting sick or he was exhausted. I don't have to have hot passionate scenes for BL. they could be light and fluffy... But Guitar just did not seem to warm up to Ping or pick up what ping was laying down if that makes any sense.
They seem to have really good chemistry at the beginning of the show but towards the end things changed... not in the plot, but in the way the Guitar was reacting. again I think maybe he was sick.

Rewatching for the fourth time today
while reading the reviews, it is obvious the difference in culture and acceptance of these sorts of things. if you read what it was about, I don't know why you bothered to watch it in the first place. this is my fourth time watching this film. I love it so much and every time I get the same thrills and squeals at the beautiful quirky dynamic between them. So many men suffer from depression and feelings of worthlessness because of the types of things that they desire and they cannot tell their partners about it for fear of rejection and humiliation. Unfortunately, they can sometimes step outside of their marriage and relationship in search of this acceptance. Some are lucky and find a woman who will accept them as they are. Our sexuality is only a small part of our lives, but if we don't get to be who we are, it can become something we fixate on. I feel like the actors portrayed the awkward and clumsy first stages of relationship in such a cute way. I even like the the supporting actors. The Dog Cafe is such a great and adorable place. What a shame we don't have more cat and dog cafes in the States. Was this review helpful to you?
Romantic teen angst and gay social issues
I've been watching BL's for years now and I skipped over this gem due to an awkward first episode and bad reviews. I held it in my watch list for over a year. I am so glad that I decided to come back and watch it. It was fascinating to see some very popular current actors and how they looked 5 years ago and the difference in their acting. I am not saying there is a bad acting in this because in my opinion there is not. They were awkward as teenagers are. there was awkward silences. some people said that they were gaps in the story and I agree that it did jump around a little bit but that made it even more real for me. I had a glimpse into their lives and if you pay very close attention to every single episode it's not hard to keep up with everything that's happening. I found it to be one of my favorite dramas ever. Tee has some serious Rizz!!! There are some beautiful conversations here and without spoiling anything I will just say that the scene by the sea had some of the sweetest words ever said.if you will remember middle and high school so much happened and one week back then... little things were huge to us and that's how it is in the show. there is very little skinship. don't even bother watching this if that's what you're looking for. However, despite that I could definitely say it was one of the most romantic school BL's ever in my personal opinion.
