Like a romance sampler - a little bit of every type of romance all in the one drama.

Just a simple romance show. Nothing special about it, but you can lose yourself in it for a few hours.

Another user mentioned that an "enjoyment" rating would be a good addition to this site. I agree. This show wasn't really good, but I enjoyed it and don't exactly regret spending 16hrs of my life on it. (Although the music became really repetitive and grating.)

The show is all over the place. Manipulation, mental health issues, trauma and phobias, hot-and-cold lovers, poor-meets-rich, first loves, exes that aren't over each other yet, secret pasts, workaholics, poor life choices... the writers sort of just grabbed a bit of everything they had in their cupboard and threw it in a pot. But every individual element was done pretty well. I especially liked the realistic portrayels of phobias and traumatic flashbacks, and the on-going effects they have on a person.

However, I wish this wasn't is a romance. It would be a hilarious show, where the rich egomaniac keeps trying to win a girls heart in order to get her to take back her job, while she just continues on with her life and shuts him down each time - without falling for his persistent harassment.

Can someone make this show, but leave out the weak willed romance?

Put it on for a laugh but ended up loving it

Omg I just finished watching "Unlock my boss" and it was so damn good.
Like, a lot of it was obvious/predictable but it was so enjoyable that it didn't matter.
Lots of crime and intrigue, and a few sad and sweet parts.

But I have NEVER felt so emotionally attached to a phone as I did for the phone in this show!!! XD

I will definitely be watching this one again as I don't feel like there was anything I disliked about it. Well, there is one part that I wish was different, but it was really well done and the writers really knew what they were doing.
I loved the soundtrack which melded perfectly into the show and didn't distract you - except during fight scenes. I LOVED the fight scene music.

The main character is super adorable, but the show has too much drama.

I liked the start of the show a lot, and a good amount of the middle of the show was enjoyable enough, but I hated the ending. The female main character started out as having very strong values, but her core values were just tossed aside whenever the story needed to be dramatic. Her behaviour towards the end just didn't fit her previously established character, and all of this supposedly in the span of less than 3 months?

I know it's supposed to be a bit of a fairytale, but it's like a magic wand waved at the end to just make everyone be happy with whatever outcome the writers decided was a "happy ending", even if those things didn't make any sense, or the characters wouldn't have been able to make such serious personality changes in that timeframe.

The ending was way too over-the-top. It ruined the romance for me. But if you like the super dramatic cliche romance shows, this would be worth a watch.

Made for a niche audience.

At first this show seems to be about the supernatural VS mental illness, with the main character struggling to determine whether she's just hullucinating or not.

As the story progresses, a new element is brought in: group thinking, cults, and mass hysteria.

Although the show was pretty interesting, the ending was unfortunately the most boring and inconclusive endings I've seen to such an exciting show.

I'm sure this show would be very good if you are into: aliens, psychological disorders, infiltrating cult-like organisations, plotting & scheming, philosophy, and the question "Is faith more powerful than truth?".

A realistic romance that reflects modern real life values.

I ended up really enjoying this, which surprised me because the synopsis and trailer made it look like it would be pretty cringey. I also hadn't really seen many good reviews. But I ended up enjoying every episode and definitely tearing up unexpectedly a few times.
This is a real romance, with a spotlight on the gendered double standards in dating.
Although the characters and setting aren't "everyday", the romance is definitely more realistic than most, and the show really throws aside the facade of "no s*x before marriage" that a lot of Korean romances put up.
Instead of hours and hours of tension waiting for the romantic leads to finally kiss, the tension and drama comes from external forces.

I'm not sure what it was, but something about the male romantic lead suddenly felt off in the later episodes and that feeling never quite went away. Perhaps it was that his character development stalled at one point and they never continued improving him?

Light-hearted comedy without being too over-the-top.

On netflix this show has 12 episodes, but on here it's listed as having 24. For this review I am using Netflix's episode set up.

I went into this show expecting it to be "so bad it's good", but found out it was actually just a good show with a ridiculous premise. The pacing was great (up until the very last episode) and the comedy was perfect. It's not a "mystery" show, as it is very obvious, but it still feels satisfying to watch even when you're 99% sure you know what's going to happen next.

The main storyline seems to end with episode 8. This is a reasonable point to stop watching, if you want to. I found the rest of the show to be enjoyable, but it would have felt much more satisfying to end it after episode 8.

It ended again in episode 12. This ending felt very rushed, and although they wrapped everything up neatly, they used the last 10mins to do that stupid "next season teaser" that has invaded every show and movie in the past decade.

No further episodes available on netflix.

A good show with cute characters - for the most part.

(Possible spoiler at the end of review, clearly marked.)
I really enjoyed the majority of this series, but the ending was so terrible that it pretty much ruined it all for me.

The show starts out as a wierd cinderella style story with a lot of toxic family behaviours, and then takes a turn into mystery/intrigue/crime with dark secrets from the past etc etc.

The romance and "mystery" are all laid out for the audience by episode 10, but who's in alliance with each other keeps you guessing til the last episodes.

I did wonder how they could possibly stretch it out for another 10 episodes after the audience already knew everything. Surprisingly it kept my interest til the end.

I'm sad to say that I really really hated the ending.

*SPOILER AHEAD*
Spoiler for the ending: I thought the last episode was going to be a feel-good episode where you get to see all your favourite characters get their happily ever afters, but this one just really let me down in that department. I know there's a trend in k-dramas for the couple to be separated for a year or more, and then reunite, but there's no frigging way this particular relationship problem could be forgiven THAT easily.

Fluffy romance movie with some teen angst

Very lively and upbeat, easy to watch. Not much to the story, but if you like fluffy romances with only a pretense of drama, then this might be for you.

Key points worth mentioning (may include spoilers):
- This feels like a movie for/about teenagers, but I believe they are actually in their early 20s.

- I didn't like the main characters, but they weren't too obnoxious. I didn't feel emotionally invested in them, but they did seem to have realistic chemistry with one another.

- There is a character with Autism, which is referred to as ASD (at least in the subtitles). This is the correct modern diagnostic term, but not everyone is familiar with this.

- Contains depictions of multiple types of abusive relationships.

- The story does involve a rich guy harassing a working-class girl while she's at work even after she rejects him. (The problem with hitting on someone while they're at work is that they're cornered - they can't escape you and because you're a customer they can't be rude to you.).. This can be acceptable in fantasy, but I'm sick of seeing it portrayed as cute and romantic.

- Despite being made in 2022, it is a straight snapshot of early 2000s fashion and style choices, including those strand fringes that were so popular with teens. If the eyebrows were pencil-thin and the eye shadow was more over the top, I would think this was set in 2002 not 2022.
