Not Like Other Korean BLs That's For Sure!

I would say watch it if you're hesitant to do so, the actors had great chemistry and the story line was good.

I know Korean BLs existed before 2019 and gave us better kissing scenes(e.g: long time no see)than the recent Korean BLs(e.g: Mr heart and Where your eyes linger). To My Star set high standards for the next Korean Bls to come when it comes to kissing scenes.

I was expecting the characters to just place their lips on one another and just stand still, so imagine the high pitch scream that flew out my mouth when the boys gave us lip action. I fell off my bed and turned into a happy wiggling worm because WOW! I'm blushing as I write this tbh! To prove that they set the standards high, You Make Me Dance did not disappoint as well when in came to the kissing scenes(AND THEY EVEN DID A WHOLE: IT'S GETTING HOT IN HERE, SO TAKE OF ALL YOUR CLOTHES!! I AM GETTING SO HOT I'M GONNA TAKE MY CLOTHES OFF!)but enough of me talking about the kissing scenes, the show was more than that.

I'm not gonna lie though, I had to rewatch the last 2 episodes in order to understand what happened. Out of nowhere this reporter showed up to warn our main protagonist. I was so confused but after I watched it the second time it all made sense(not saying it'll be the same for you though).
The antagonist and the reporter talking in English was also very weird and somewhat funny for me. No let me be honest, I laughed my head off because it was so sudden and awkward.

I wish we found out more about why our main lead was terrified of breaking glass. That's (I think)the only thing they didn't explain and I feel it would have made the story even more wholesome.

I would recommend this bl.

Loved every single episode!

So finally the last episode came out! I won't lie I was kind of on the fence about watching it while the other episodes weren't out. I won't be doing that again because waiting for the next episode was excruciatingly painful.

Akira and Yuki...my next best couple. The first episode got me hooked, I liked how weird and open they were when they first met. Although it's fast paced the acting wasn't. We got to feel the emotions they felt, nothing was rushed or squished together.

My favorite character was Yuki for sure, such a pure heart. I can't begin to tell you the amount of times I wanted to jump into my laptop and give him a hug. I just wanted to protect him; so naturally I was angry when Akira broke up with him. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how quickly they got back together(ironically I felt it was rushed). I wanted more, I wanted anger, more tears, I wanted Akira to work harder in gaining Yuki's trust again. It's not like they broke up for a month and feelings were still fresh, rather it was years.

What I also loved was: even though it was fast paced the topic on self acceptance kept popping up and was resolved in a 'beautiful' manner. Akira finally realizing that living according to the book or peoples expectations wasn't going to make him truly happy. Once he put those feelings aside and accepted himself was one of my highlights. Same as Yuki coming out to his mom (whom by the way deserves trophy for best mom ever).

The drama was great, loved it and would rewatch it a million times more. I just wish the last episode was a bit longer so we could bask in their happy ending a bit more, 30 seconds was not enough for me. They don't have to show us their entire timeline like in the book but a bit more happy ending would have fluffed up my world.

I would recommend this show for sure.

CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 2!

I really really enjoyed this, if you've watched Extra-Ordinary You and enjoyed it I feel you would enjoy this as well. There are some spoilers in this review, so read at your own risk, I will warn you when there's a spoiler so you can skip it.

It's about this guy who gains awareness of the world he lives in and realizes that he lives in a BL world. 90% of all the guys are gay and he hopes that he is that 10% who isn't. So he literally tries his hardest to make sure that he doesn't fall victim to the plot of the BL world.

It was really funny watching him try to dodge every cliche bl plot you can think off and succeed.

*SPOILERS*
However you get the idea that he might not be an extra like he had hoped, based on how the last episode went I would say he probably gained awareness about a month ago.
This is why he thought that his character would be an extra when in in reality his story was brewing.
All the boys he came across and successfully avoided were never meant to be his anyways. So while he was an extra(or dare I say catalyst) in the other couples love stories, he was a main character in another's life. It was interesting seeing him kind of fall in love with this really cute guy, his body, mind, heart, and mouth literally betrayed him lol, but I loved it.

*END OF SPOILER*

I hope they make a season 2 of it, it was such a great watch, funny, romantic, cliche bl love stories, and a Plot twist.
I'm really interested in seeing how the next season will be tackled based off it's ending.

Rewatch value is a 10/10.

GMMTV HAS REALY SURPRISED ME THIS PAST BLs

Where do I start...
I guess from the day we found out that Be My Favourite was going to come out. We found out that the leads were Krist and Mike, and I am gonna admit it that I was part of the people who were like: wtf...they literally do not make sense as a couple. And then Mike left and GMM posted on Insta that Gawin would be taking his place. I'll admit again that I was a part of the group of people who went: WTFaaaaa bruhhhhhh, that makes even less sense!!!!
Because let's admit it, Gawin and Krist did not make a pretty image at all in our heads. Man oh man was I wrong. I pride myself with my imagination and in my head, BMF was bound to burn to ashes and stay ashes. So imagine my surprise when I first saw them together and it made sense. I fell in love with them the second I laid eyes on them, and I gave myself a stern taking too. NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER.

I am glad that I gave this a chance, it is easily one of my top 5 GMMTV BLs. The first few episodes really had me in my feelings, especially with how Kawi treated Pisaeng. What I love about this, is that they didn't rush the process of them falling in love with one another. They didn't rush the process of Pisaeng coming to terms with his sexuality, Kawi coming to terms with his sexuality and also realizing that, although he can travel through time; he can't change everything.

It was painful yet beautiful to watch our two mains go through their troubles and then have them finally come together as a couple. I will admit that I thought it was too soon for them to become a couple, and I worried what the episodes to follow would become. Turns out I worried over nothing, I loved watching them as a couple, I loved watching Kawi let go and just give himself to Pisaeng(who in my own opinion, is too good to be true. I kept waiting for him to mess up, but that moment never came. He is easily the man of my dreams).

The dreaded ep 11 curse came after we were softened up throughout the episode. GMM made sure to make us turn into mush and then hit us with, I believe to be their greatest plot twist. I didn't see it coming, I actually clapped my hands after the episode and I was worried of the decision Pisaeng would make in the last episode.

The message was loud and clear, that even though you are faced with adversities in life and you know what your future will look like. The point is to not focus too much on that future, the point is that you live in your present to the best of your capabilities, that you have no regrets about what the future might hold. Every choice you make shouldn't make you want to turn back in time to fix that choice. Just...live man, love, laugh, and be happy.

A beautiful BL, a rare GMMTV win.
Will be rewatching it until I die.

What Giving Up Everything For The Person You Love Looks Like

First off I just want to say that I really enjoyed this drama despite what others viewers had to say about the drama especially the FL.

I'm going to start with the ML, though he gave off stalker/creepy vibes in the first 3 episodes he got better and I found myself loving him in every other episode. After watching the last episode I really understood the type of person he was. He is the type who goes all in for love, even though he wasn't as pleasant in the first few episodes, but it all came from a good place. This is why it hurt me when he told his sister that he was afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve again when the FL said she wanted him back. After seeing that you don't always win in love no matter how hard you try, it was understandable why he was reluctant to be swayed by the FL again.

I didn't dislike FL, but I do wish that she had decided to win the ML back on her own instead of having the ML tell her to do so. I wanted her to really want him back that she sort of takes on the traits of the ML in the first few episodes. I wanted her to chase him without being told(by the ML)that she could chase him. I don't know, I just feel like the ML made it too easy for her in the end, but hey, they lived happily ever after THE END.

Also I understand why many people didn't like the FL. I was so frustrated when people were angry at her for choosing her job instead of choosing to be with the ML. For me, she didn't choose her job over him(because they remained together for like a year and a half before breaking up), but rather she didn't love the ML as much as he loved her and that was the reason why they fell apart. She could have put in more effort to see him when they began the long distance relationship. The ML was frustrated at her for bailing out so many times but he never gave up, he understood that the job was demanding and yet he never gave up. The FL should have done the same, she gave up instead of trying to find a balance between her job and her relationship. All the ML wanted was a bit of time with her which I felt she could have given.

As for the other characters such as the SML and SFL, I was really happy with how their story ended. They really grew a lot from the 1st episode to now, it's like having a child and seeing them grow up to be an amazing human being.

I was happy with the MLs sisters ending as well, they all got the endings they deserved. I also really love the FLs mother, she also came a long way but she did it. She knows her daughter doesn't deserve the ML and I was happy when she told them that.

Overall this was a great drama, the only person I still don't like is the SFLs old man. They didn't show him in the last two episodes but something tells me that his character stayed the exact same way, no growth, nothing, zero.

Would I rewatch it? Yes I would.

Could have been better.

I posted this below but wanted to add my review on here as well. Overall, it wasn't my cup of tea and I found myself cringing due to the acting. They almost had it, if only SK can learn the art of utilizing the amount of time and episodes right. Masterpieces can be made even with short episodes.

Anyways here's my honest review:

It started off cute. I liked that they didn't have a childhood connection as well. I don't know why South Korea likes to fast track their BLs. They go from being complete strangers to Lovers and we never see the build up. Everytime I watch their bls(not all but majority), I find myself asking out loud "but when did you start falling in love?". The assumption that we should know when they started falling in love without so much as a hint in their acting is getting old and boring and irritating and just aaghh. The sad thing is, even with short minute episodes they can give us quality plots and acting.

The acting had it's moments, for the life of me I could not take Jihoon seriously during the plane ride panic attack. I am tempted to make a tiktok but sadly my morals and values have convinced me that it's bullying.

The English was cringe, I'm sorry. The longer they kepy talking the more I wished they would go back to speaking hangul.

Also, Eden mentioned that he was traumatized by his drowning incident as a child and would therefore freakout at the sight of large bodies of water. Tell me why his trauma was down played and basically non existent. For someone with water PTSD he sure looked like he was one with the water. Bro was a water Avatar.

Toxic ex boyfriend trope needs to burn die and never resurrect.

Also, maybe there was a mistake with the translations and I am well aware that the way I think and understand things are not the same for all countries. But Eden gave "Im not gay vibes and homophobic vibes", he literally said how can his first love be a man when he literally silent confessed that he was in love with Jihoon. And then proceeds to say he misunderstood him...Mr Sir, what the hell is wrong with you.

A rushed ending is basically standard procedure for SK. I should be used to it but everytime I am surprised and disappointed.

I am yet to recover

I kind of knew that these 5 episodes were going to leave me wanting more. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed every single second of still 2gether so much that I wanted it to be 13 episodes instead.

I take my hat off to Metawin(Tine), he killed his role. His acting skills improved so much from the first season, from his pouting scenes, to his crying scenes, to his happy scenes. I was super captivated and impressed by how much of a better actor he became. If I could I would give him a trophy for stealing the show and my heart.

Bright did well as well but I felt his acting was way better in the first season than it was in Still 2gether. Tine looked more in love than Sarawat did which is why I bonded with Tine better.

Then we had our side couples:
Finally!!! Phukong and Mil got 2gether!! I kinda laughed at how Man's and Boss' plan to get them together worked. It almost played out like Tine and Sarawat's love story, super cute.

Man and Type where my second favorite couple on the show, I mean...we even got to see them kiss in the end which sent me flying. I loved their relationship so much, though it was long distance(I'm not gonna lie I thought they weren't going to make it) it didn't feel like it. They stayed in contact with one another, Man was super supportive from the begining and the fact that they trusted each other made me proud.

Then we had P'Dim and Green...oh where do I start with these two. P'Dim, P'Dim, P'Dim...you put my boys(Sarawat and Tine) and the rest of the actors through so much sh*t. All because of a YouTube name...oh what do I do with you. Despite his power to ruin the mood and getting other people involved in his issues I loved that he played a huge role in Sarawat not giving up on Tine. Green also stole my heart here, Iron Lady to the core! I'm not going to lie I kind of wanted him to beat up P'Dim in the last episode (like he did to Tine's friends in 2gether) but P'Dim got lucky. Though they fought throughout most of the episodes, I loved their relationship. Never a dull moment with those two.

Boss and Pear, I was glad that they finally got together. Boss was my 3rd favorite character, a complete goofball and sweetheart. I identified the most with him when it came to approaching Pear and trying to win her over, I do the same thing in front of my crush. I loved those two together and would not change a thing at all about their love story.

Then we had the two amigos:
Fong The Philosopher, he is what I call Tine and Sarawat's number 1 supporter. He had always been on their side from start to end and honestly he deserves an award for bestest friend in the whole wide world. His words of wisdom not only impacted Tine and Sarawat's relationship but my nonexistent one as well...I took his words to heart and can't wait to apply them to my future relationships. He even has a bit of the love story coming on as well, which I support fully.

Ohm, oh what a cutie. The only one who stays single after the last episode, the only one who still had something philosophical to say. I loved him a lot, he brought the humor and was honestly the life of the party in the friendship group.

Still 2gether was such a treat, I thought we were never going to get a proper kiss from Sarawat and Tine but lo and behold did they not only kiss once but TWICE! All in a time span of a minute, they gave us cute, tears, laugher and romance. I really can't complain about this show.

I would watch it over and over again, I just can't believe that there won't be anymore Sarawat and Tine. Hopefully they act in more drama's either together or solo, either way I'll be there to support them.

Best BL by far

Okay so I've recently gotten into BL(for some reason I didn't think they existed, thank heavens I stumbled upon them) but I've watched a lot of BLs since then. 2gether has got to be my no.1 BL of all those I have watched.

The show was cute and had it's fun and serious moments. Bright's(Sarawat) acting was really on point in this drama, after the first episode you start to realize that there's more to his story than what meets the eye. His actions and facial expressions gave away so much but because you don't know the ending your mind starts to wonder more and more and more about his true feelings for Tine. When we get to episode 6/7 your mind finally gets to relax because all the puzzle pieces are finally fitting together. If I had to give the award for best actor it would be to him, he nailed his role.

Win(Tine) also did well in the show especially for his first ever drama. There were parts where his acting was a bit awkward but only minor parts if I'm being honest. Tine is this out going, oblivious guy, happy go lucky etc and Win portrayed him well.

THE POSITIVES
What I loved the most was the story line, it was simple but so heart warming to watch. I liked how Tine is completely oblivious to Sarawat's true feelings but at the same time it's like he was aware of his feelings for Sarawat but wasn't really paying attention to them?(idk if this makes sense).

I loved how cute Sarawat could be, to everyone else he is this cold guy who seems to not care about others but to his friends and Tine he is kind of a dork. The boob grabbing scenes were to die for, the killer lines such as: "keep staring at me like that and I'll kiss you til you drop, you're annoying", "If you were my boyfriend, I'd kiss you from your hair to your shadow" had me rolling off the bed. Especially the first line I quoted, like why would someone you met just that day be annoying? And because of that thought you can't help but click to the next episode in hopes to find out.

Tine not being aware but at the same time being aware of his feelings towards Sarawat was gold to me. Some scenes he'd be angry at Sarawat for saying or doing something to him, like the first time they kissed and then Sarawat passes out. Then there would be moments whereby he'd be blushing at the things Sarawat did or said. I love how he opens up to him about his feelings for the first time in episode 6 and kind of runs away from him after realizing that the cats out of the bag.

I liked that their relationship wasn't sexualized a lot, it gave us kissing scenes and the super intimate scenes were left to our imagination.

The friendships between the characters were nice as well, super supportive and caring friends though sometimes it got a bit too much but in the end they made the show more romantic 'cause our main couple now had to prove to their friends and each other that they truly love one another.

The comedy was gold, the romance was gold, the cuteness was gold as well.

THE NEGATIVES

What I didn't like about the show was the side couples, it was fine in the first few episodes but the more you went in the more I felt it was taking our view of off the main couple.

I also didn't like that there wasn't much skin ship between Sarawat and Tine. I think they kiss 4 times in the whole 13 episodes, yes they cuddle and sleep in the same bed but at some point you as the viewer start to want more. There were some scenes where I thought a kiss should happen but instead we got a pat on the head from Sarawat (last episode when they get back together). Then there's Tine always saying no to a kiss or being intimate, like I get it but at the same time 90% of Sarawat's advances were rejected by Tine. The plus was when he allowed Sarawat to grab his boob at the café, that made me really happy.

I would rewatch the series but not the last 3 episodes(just the happy moments). To me those episodes felt like fillers, like: okay we gave them fluff and comedy and some drama but not enough drama. Let's add this random girl into the story line and rattle their relationship. Even when we watch the scenes of when Sarawat first fell in love with Tine we don't see her at all in the back ground or next to Sarawat. The last 3 episodes would have been way better without her and the trust issues that arise between Sarawat and Tine. The writers could have focused more on the love song instead of adding an extra character on top of that. If they had focused more on that those last 3 episodes would have been the best out of the rest in my opinion. It would have been more romantic and funny and cute.

I also didn't like how they played down the romantic scenes. Sarawat would say the deepest things to Tine that had my heart melting and Tine blushing beat red and then he'd kill the mood by saying: Do you think I just confessed my love to you?(episode 7). Like, we already know that you meant it so why take it back?
Or when he said: If you were my boyfriend, I'd kiss you from your hair to your shadow. Yes, Tine tries to brush it off by saying he is a perv, but you can see that he was affected by those words. Instead of saying something extremely corny and cliched that would have made Tine blush even further he down plays it by saying it was a practice line for when they run into Green. There's so many scenes in which this is done that I just want to crawl in the screen and yell LIES! ALL LIES!! but it's fine, even though I didn't like some of those they still added romance to that scene.

The ending, I wanted more for the ending. I feel the side couples had better cute endings than our main couple. Yes, they are playing guitar in front of the new club members but how much has their relationship progressed after a year?

Over all, I loved this BL. It might seem like I have more negatives than positives but the positives outweigh the negatives. We get our happy ending for everyone and I felt sad once I had finished it. I justed wanted someone from MIB(Man in Black) to come wipe my memory of 2gether away so I could watch it again for the first time.
It was beautiful and something I recommend you watch
