Another Strong Hero/Heroine drama

So not wasting time, this drama has a very strong ML and FL. ML is intelligent and powerful in combat, while FL is intelligent mainly in war strategy/survival techniques. Both are fully devoted to one another, no one can tear them apart so for those that hate second lead syndrome, dont worry about that even though FL is loved by someone else too. I honestly do not understand where a lot of people stated the FL acting isnt great because it captivate me to continue to watch mainly for her. I felt she act what she suppose to be as the character of this story even though I did not read the book. IMO, FL was great, you can see her happy, sad, Angry, Confident to a cocky feel emotions thoughout the drama. This is my kind of drama as well. Hope you all give this a chance and see for yourself. And btw, it has a Happy ENDING, an historical drama with a happy ending, uncommon these days, but common for those that only strive to watch them.

I wont say its bad, its very watchable if you like similar series and watched Ten Miles Blossom

First off, this is my opinion and there will be some spoilers so read at your own risk, I know lots people dont mind spoilers to get the idea of the series. This show's has quite big plot holes. There's only a couple or so from the main last half plot series. Love is really a big topic but thats where the plot holes comes in, displaying their kind of Love. There will be quite a few Angst moment but I walk into this drama knowing that, but still got hit with the feel territory. Comparison series explain after plot hole review.

Spoiler 2 plot hole reveals:

1. FL display full body love to ML and believe in him from the beginning of the series but end up not believing his word that he did not do it at mid point???? But i kinda understand the no love feeling fruit she had gotten which makes it part of her decision. But but.........

2.ML ask FL to kill him if she doesn't believe him to rid her revenge, but then when she did kill him, he returns evil, pissed, at her for betraying him? He showed quite a lot of love and he would sacrafice himself for her but it turns out not at the moment of plot. Too many suspicion that never quite make him or her think and understand.

Soo the question you guys would ask how is it compare to Ten Miles Blossom.
Although I see some likes this more than Ten miles, I for one love Ten Miles more. The fact I think Ten Miles is better is due to ML and FL are powerful characters. The plot in Ten miles to me seems more addicting to follow than this. The side characters in Ten Miles are addicting to follow as well. I like both dramas but FL in this drama is too weak. They only display as strong but never really felt it. FL here also is an airhead but very cute for the big half of the show until the final 3rd. My angst is still here after watching it so I had to write this to cool off my head. It ends happily so as long as you got thru til the end, its feelings in and out.

If you dont mind a slightly weaker with angst plot holes, but still like the type of immortals with love, go give it a shot, you might like it more than the others. My rating stays true at a 7.5 and this is not being bias to Ten Miles.

Well, Another Chinese Cinderella drama to its finest!!!

So Ima tell ya what I think about this drama. First off, I will definitely say its a Chinese adaptation of Cinderella. FL became lowest illegitament class daughter, gets plotted pick on by step mom and sister. Some light comedy romance but mostly serious politics and mainly Revenge/Love driven story. There are lots of happy tear moments and some Angst which no one really likes but dont let it turn you off. Moral of the story is, don't be a doush or payback is a bitch!!! I don't really like drama without happy endings but this is one of the few exceptions. It's a bittersweet happy ending at that. If you haven't seen it at this time of review, even in 2020, a 2016 drama of this is remarkable, I definetly enjoy most of it.

A Chinese Drama that you most possibly wont fast forward or skip scenes often if any.

So I just couldn't wait to finish the drama and write a review for you guys to know how I feel so far going 3/4 into the series. First off, im the kinda guy that when watching something whether its a tv series or movie, I tend to skip scenes I find boring or non important character/non sense a lot. Almost every drama I watch, I have some skips including this one but its very rare I skip only because the scene of a boat sailing soo long as an example. So anyway here we go, first off, if you are like me, who skip scenes constantly and get bored easily on dramas, think again for this one as I have seen so far, almost every character in the show with scenes gets interesting enough to keep watching. The thrill and excitement comes from almost every character whether minor or supporting ones is, its always interesting to keep on watching. So far this show kept me over 3 days watching due to me not skipping much at all. For a 50-60 episode series I have watched, I tend to finish within a day to 2 skipping a lot but this one, took me a good amounts of days to finished. The plot and each character plans played out are soo simple but yet captivating to the extend of keeping you glued to the seat without fast forwarding. That is what I like in series, when compare to Ten miles of blossom, I skip a bit on that show due to some characters I dont like to watch, but this, almost never skipped. That is how good it is. Let me tell you, the most useless character I find in the show to be boring somewhat is the main female lead, but its just to let you know the level of thrillness I find that if you like the female lead scenes, then almost every character scenes may again captivate you just like me. I also like the main lead, the story is always revolve around him, very rare that the whole drama you only find mainly to the lead, 9 out of 10 times, its a split multiple lead couples storyline. Give it a shot and see for yourself. Waiting for season 2 as the story continues.

Better than Ashes of Love, for sure to me

So after I finished Ashes of Love, I had to write the review for that, then writing one for this because its my favorite out of them both. So first off, be mindful about immortals in this world, its not god that can not die. Immortals in this world or so to say the asian world, is pretty much human with powers and doesn't get sick illness and die unless poisoned or physical/mentally hurt/injured. I was initially turned off by understanding immortals that love each other, having kids succeeding them, but that was thrown out right after I finished the first story arc of Su Yin. The story really picks up after Su Yin becomes Bai Qian not long after, the addiction of having to stay up all night watching it, you guys know the feel. The mortal trial isn't that long compare to Ashes of Love because it continues where she enters the immortal world with the ML still as a mortal. This arcs basically showcase jealousy and plan/plot to harm FL with misunderstanding from ML, the only angst I believe I felt and encounter, but a good one, not the kind that pisses you off with plotholes but non the less to say it is not. It continues to draw you in like glue when Bai Qian return to immortal and addiction continues to the end. Watch this show now, and tell me if you agree with me. Anyways, enjoy your time while out in this virus days.

Wow, just wow!!! A Drama that is my cup of tea

I love watching these type of drama where the ML comes and save the FL everytime. It's almost like an episodic FL pinch resolution per episode. ML comes and save her and it's pretty cliche in a way but at the same time unique to keep you interest. Mind you, I only watch the first 10 episode and fell in love with this series and hope for it to drag out longer and longer. Hope you guys find it enjoying as I am. One thing for sure it has a little similar like Joy of Life. Give the first 2 episode a shot and see if you enjoy the concept of this.

Update, I still enjoyed the second half of the series even though it kinda steer out of the episodic husband save the day routine but kept the interest of wanting to know what happen next. Hope for season 2.

A Pretty Good Historical drama that doesn't really drag much... BUT....

I went into this drama researching a bit because its an average 50+ episode story. When there's that many episode, of course you would hesitate watching it if it doesn't turn out good, you wasting your time watching part of it and may drop it down the line. Let me tell you this, royal politics is not new and the repeated similar plot that has always been use to drag the story line out as much as the show intended to become. This show still holds its very much interest til the very end once the main OTP knows and devoted themselve to each other. One thing I never liked in a drama is the miss opportunity that the leads find out about and misunderstood each other, almost reveal their identity but got interrupted, or got somehow coincidently miss the right moment to see and know each other. This drama gave me the angst to all those moments and there were a LOT of those moments til they find out about each other. Although it took some episodes, it eventually reach there and after that, the show smoothly ride out til the end non stop. I for one watch it over 2 nights and completed on the 3rd morning due to work, otherwise I would probably finished it on the second day. Don't get me wrong, but I did skip some parts that doesn't show much progress with no lead in them but you can still comfortable watch it without skipping. Ending has been miss interpreted but non the less, I truly believe it's a happy ending. I recommend watching this for the character fun chemistry. It is rewatchable for me, I may probably rewatch it again down the line. Plot line has been used, don't expect much beside thinking who is the culprit to all of this. Every evildoers get what they deserved.

One of the most hilariously/serious drama that is in the Joseon Era!!!

You need to give it a shot, even if you don't know the actor or actress. The FL is a rising star and she probably will be one of the main female lead star in more dramas to come in a year or 2. ML is good, I really like his acting in this as he cross-dress as a female which rarely makes me laugh out loud as heck. The serious tone of the show is also on point, the plot is kinda cliche but still refreshing in a way. Don't give up on watching this just because you either hate one of the cast or don't know them. If you are like me, you will grow to love them. I like the female lead, watch almost all her dramas that shes in even if she is secondary characters. I am currently rewatching it after a few months. And it has a Happy ending which is kinda rare for a joseon drama!!!
