Overall a very nice series.
Without adding too many spoilers, the series, overall, is well written and the actors are believable. Although many series created in South Korea might be a bit long, their new approaches to themes is really refreshing. So, I really enjoyed the series, One point leads to a reduced vote: some of the cases in the plot seem to be a bit unrealistic. Unless the laws in South Korea are really different from the law standards in western democracies, they would be not reaching court level. But this is not the problem of the series but the authors choice. And from other series written by him (like e.g. Pinocchio) he writes really good plots. So, overall the series is really watchable.

A very interesting storyline
I am quite a fan for medical stories. The sheer mixture between the ethical problems that we outsiders of hospitals simply love to forget (see Covid and hospitals) is always good for interesting story lines. And with Dr. John it is the same. The background of the question about ethics of medicine and the questions of euthanasia are new to me in this genre, but played without the pathos other stories have. The players are very good and tho the story is tending to lots of tears in the later episodes, its a joy to follow the series.
So, for the cold and wet season it might be a great choice.
Btw. the only manko ALL asian medical series seem to have is to see feminine workers in hospitals on high heels. Nobody would wear high heels in a hospital.

Actually really entertaining.
A fine mixture of science fiction, big brother, great actors and a tempting sound track. The story itself was new to me in the genres and this alone makes a great plot (its not that easy to develop new stories after 100+ years of motion pictures).
Some hickkups might have been needed to correct tho. An aircraft flying in 5000 KM(!) height is more a case for NASA than for a Korean airline. A small tip to those creating stories: although its science fiction, the parts in the "here and now" should be at least a bit realistic. And this flight level is simply reserved fo satellites. (or simply: as realistic as a real world hospital movie in which the main actress would wear highheels during station duty...)

Really viewable for those who are interested in Chinas history of the early 20th century
Although (of course) this series comes along as love story with nearly everything we can expect from a Chinese drama series, this one is different. For me with less (to no) knowledge of the history Chinas that led to e.g. the revolution, the timeline in 1915 with the political complex situation, the relationship to Japan etc. brought me to learn a bit more about it.The storyline is of course dramatic with all we can expect to see. From bloody warlords, samurais, the brave hero's of the play, royals and important families you have nearly everything; love, fight, tears, comedy, adrenaline and adventure. Embedded in the look of the beginning of the 20th. century (i guess we see designs of the 1920th).
Is a 48-series worth the time to follow the story? Yes. I am currently at no. 40, but really enjoying it.
