The writing

I must commend the writing in this story. As a writer, I tend to look for good/solid writing, remarkable/memorable characters, and flowing scenes. So far, this series is giving me everything, and I am having a ball! I also like that we didn't get the "falling in love at first sight" trope. I'm over that one for now.

Friendships are important! Get into it!

This episode reminded me that friendships are absolutely important and it made me think of my best friend who is always on my mind no matter what. I'm glad Prem's gang made up and how they made Samsi that he is important to them despite not being single anymore.

Ten finds "home" in Prem's cooking

Ten is searching for the familiarity of love, warmth, and comfort. These traits portray what a home is, and Ten is looking for "home", which he finds in Prem's food. In his childhood, he was the happiest when he was with his family, and he's looking to recreate it through cooking. This episode was a little philosophical, looking at it from Ten's POV, but it worked because it came together perfectly with the humor and drama.

Lesson learned!

While telling the truth might be scary, that old saying about honesty being the best policy still holds up. Tae had wanted to tell the truth from the beginning where the broken hard drive was concerned, but because of peer pressure, he went along with attempting to fix the company's hard drive without informing his mentors. This episode was dramatic and chaotic and I loved it!

"Ryan, krap"

That single interview scene with Baimon mispronouncing Ryan's name is ICONIC!Ryan is so relatable. It brings back memories of when I was a trainee. And he's an introvert, too? Check! I'm in for the long haul.

Not the greatest but...

...I liked it overall. It was unserious and I like that it did not have dragged out unnecessary drama.

Best episode yet?

Yes, it was, and it was also the return of Pang. Although her little note might have gotten Prem in trouble, I don't see why Ten had to take the note home.

Ten's second chance

Ten gets a second chance to "save his mother" all over again in the form of Dr. Earn. Overall, the episode was cute and Ten is on his way to healing.

Ten out of Ten!

Off's characterization of Ten has been superb and it all collides into a speeding train in this episode.

Emotional rollercoaster

This episode was brought to you by the right amount of happiness, angst, heartwrenching, and separation all rolled into a tight bittersweet bun.

Filler episode?

I watch both cut and uncut versions before I make a full comment, but this episode felt like a filler episode. Nonetheless, I enjoyed Prem's chaotic friends.

Ten's imaginative tango

Had Ten not wanted to become a doctor, he would've been a best-selling author because the things that he imagines are top author tier and he has enough material to publish his own rom-com story. Wait...

Enter Chef Changma

Finally! Changma is here to shake things up! I was impressed with Victor's portrayal as a chef: he looks and acts like a real one, that if I were new to Thai shows, I'd thought that he was one of the real chefs in this.

Ten... Eleven... Twelve...

The good doctor is subconsciously being himself around Prem, Metha is hilarious, and Dynamite and Samsi are riots! 'Cooking Crush' is a soul healer.

My kind of 'gai'!

Did you know that Tom Kha Gai is the best chicken soup of 2023? I was reminded of this in just the first episode of 'CC', and I was tempted to treat myself to a sweet treat every time the name of the soup was mentioned. But alas, this is not about Tom Kha Gai! (See? I said it again!)I watched both the cut and uncut version and I'll continue to do so. My first impressions were cute, fluffy, and lighthearted. I have no problem with OffGun, they deliver as they always do. They effortlessly breathe life into their characters. I am overly impressed with Aungpao given that this is debut in the acting arena. And Pim held her own as well. The cast is cute and likable so far, but I know trouble looms ahead where Ten and his father are concerned. Changma is going to shake things up and cause jealousy to stir within Ten. Ah, can't wait! This is EXACTLY what the doctor ordered for those who need a break from the darkness and seriousness. But tread carefully, for it may not be your cup of coffee, and even if it isn't, still have some Tom Kha Gai, the chef's recommendation to deal with disappointment.
