A light romance

I really loved life-love on the line more than I thought I would, the little scenes and stares between the leads made me want more and more I remember I watched the first episode not expecting much but when I actually finished it I couldn’t stop repeating it over and over again until the next episode was uploaded, I noticed some differences between the manga and the serie but they weren’t major so I give it a thumbs up for that.

1)Acting
I’m a novice on acting but overall I think it was good, when the leads would smile I would smile too and I think that says everything about their acting

2)Ost
I really really loved the OST even the intro!! There’s little chances of me actually liking one but I really loved this one and the other songs that were played throughout the serie especially go through, grow through by Ryu Matsuyama, I don’t even know what it is about the song that made fall in love with it I get tingles everytime I listen to it.

3)Plot
Since is based on a manga there was a high chance of actually flopping but overall I think this serie did great, some extra actions were added which made it way better than it was already in the manga

If I could go to the past and choose if to watch it again I definitely would, I don’t know what it is about this serie that is so short yet so full of emotions so lovely I truly wish it could be longer.

A diamond between a million rocks

Bad Buddy is simply amazing. The lack of the usual cliches that the BL industry have normalized is a fresh breath of air. The couple’s relationship is HEALTHY, the industry always give us toxic stereotypes and this series said no. The acting was great, why? because for once the actors were comfortable with each other and not just randomly thrown together. The chemistry is insane, and felt like what a couple in real life would be like.

For once, the architecture/engineering cliche was actually included in the plot and not just thrown for the sake of tradition. Tong’s story was also a great addition to the series, especially his philosophy it made think about my actions a lot. The ost was amazing, the songs are catchy but also heartwarming.

This serie was made to clear all the negative sides that we’re accustomed to. It was made to not satisfy the people that think a M/M couple is what they see on the other shows. It was made for us the ones that actually understand the LGBTQ community is more than a fetish to pass by. I don’t think I will watch another one like this in a long time.

Something different from the usual

It’s okay to not be okay goes beyond what’s “ normal ” and accepted by society, it shows characters developments and human ignorance to an educated level I never seen before in a kdrama, I’ve watched a lot of kdramas and they somehow just don’t show mental health problems as they should be and that’s where it’s okay not to be okay stray from it and actually shows a more realistic side of it, in simple words I think this is the best serie I’ve ever watched so far.... The episodes were so charming till the point it made me want for the episode to never end, it’s okay to not be okay indeed exceeded my expectations.

note to self: you know the serie is good when 1 hour feels like 10 minutes

Mind gaming enigma

Ancient detective is more than just a drama, it presents human raw emotions at its lowest, fear, apathy, guilt, and grief is like a hook that doesn’t let go if you don’t put up a fight there were plenty of characters with different backgrounds and desires but at the end of the day they all had something in common. Ancient Detective makes you feel surreal till the point you feel as if you’re solving the cases yourself.

1) Acting
I’m a novice on diferencing between bad, good, and great acting, but overall I think it was good, some characters made me happy some made me furious, but none made as sad as Buzhi it was quite sad watching as the story progressed.

2) OST
There was this one song that I really loved it was played throughout the serie various time, it’s called 再见你 by 刘沁 if anybody wants to check it out, the main intro wasn’t to my liking there are little times when I really like one.

3) Plot
Throughout the story the decisions the characters made were the ones that made me furious most of the time, sometimes I felt like they took the long and hard way rather than using some common sense, they were quite some details that just kind of shouldn’t belong in the story but overall the rest it’s great.

This is my first time reviewing a drama, I never do it because well, I’m quite lazy and I don’t really find series that I actually enjoyed a 100%, but Ancient Detective was one of those, I really had to do a review on it because of how great it is, I can’t wait for a second season!!
