I'm not sure if I'm [negatively] biased against this [due to the fact that I read the manga first] but: I had a few problems with it. Positives; 1)Loved the cast and the acting, everybody was so adorable and suited their roles well. Even the people you grow to hate did their job well. 2)I can't get over the theme song. I just la-la-LOVE it to pieces. 3)Since I read the manga, I loved the story line/plot and I wouldn't have it any other way. (Although it wasn't identical to the manga one, the whole robotic lover idea remained CLEAR.) Negatives; There's only one thing I can complain about, but it's quite an important factor to the story. 1) Lacking... Je ne sais qoi. Okay, well I do know. It lacked more romance and love between Night and Riiko. I feel like she romanced with everybody else except, Night! It was made clear that she had feelings for him, yes, that is completely true BUT they had NO intimate/romantic scenes. Alas, it was what it was and that makes it what is is. It was beautiful and heartfelt and I wouldn't change anything, not even the emotionally-beautiful ending. Recommend it to everybody; especially if you've read the Manga.
