a really thilling and imaginative story

Well. having read previous reviews and had watched 3 episodes, I really had the dilemma whether I should continue watching Grid or not. Thank goodness I did! The storyline was very clear from the beginning and you could easily connect all the dots given by the writer, when the appropriate time came to it. Suspensful, full story, no holes in it at all. It kept my mind alert all the time and I had no difficulty whatsoever in following the story. I really do not understand why other viewers found it so difficult and non coherant. The idea of grid was all over the place, it did not fail the story not even once. Another thing that was interesting about it, is how the writer exploited the theory of probabilities and the philosophical question of what time is. She wisely kept a low tone tossing the question to the viewers for the time being. Excellent job, mrs. jakkanim!
I trully believe that it was one of the best Kdramas I've seen so far, and I 'm anticipating season 2. All the hints for season 2 were given from episode 7 and on.
Worth watching it? A profound Yes.
Acting was very good from all actors, many kudos to all of them.
Directing was also fantastic throughout all episodes, especially the two last ones. It was giving the hints of season 2 in a very laconic manner which I loved. Congrats to the director for that and also the writer who had the bouldness to keep it that way.
Finally, the music was auxiliar to the story and not over the top, but I'd rather like one more score than the one and only, just for variety.
Rewatch value, now. Yes, I'd watch it again.
I hope this review would attract more viewers, thank you for reading this.

Don't waste your time!

Maybe the worst drama I 've ever watched! I totally agree with the viewers that thumbed down that series before me.
-Story: Although it felt promising with a hint of Little Mermaid in it, it didn't go well from the half of the second episode. The characters were having an irrational behaviour, where the father begun as a villain and ended up as a pathetic criminal that was not punished. The FL had the silliest behaviour ever, as if she was suffering of mental dysfunction. The ML was saved by his charms as he put all the weight of his acting there since the script was not helping him at all. So many inconsistences in the story, that made it ridiculous.
-Music: was there any? The songs were annoying, the music was indifferent, overall it was as if it did not existed at all.
Bottom line: Don't waste your time with that. Watch something else.

a true gem!

There is an oddity about myself, I was never good at Mathematics, but I have a mathematical mind, as of analysis, perspective and a fair understanding of symmetry. Having watched Melancholia, filled my mind with euphoria and, despite its' title, happiness.
It was awsome to see the world in mathematical terms, and as Greek is was awsome to hear the reference for Pythagoras who said that the Universe is numbers. I congratulate the director for the wonderful depiction of fractals, as also the writer who gave their best self to write a story based on Math.
The second best was the relationship between teacher/students; being a teacher myself, I saw teens' behaviours that I too faced at school, so, well depicted that too.
I loved the music. Specially the instrumental one that was covering the series. Excellent job.
The actors, now. Male lead and female lead, well done, too. A bit off the change of heart of the mean director at the end, but not that much over the top. Also, well pulled by the second leads.
These said, I strongly recommend Melancholia to those who like to think while watching.
I will definitely read Hardy's 'Apology of a mathematician'.

Thank you for reading this, I hope you found it helpful..

The road for hell is paved with good intentions. 'That's politics'-

-was stated by one of the main characters of the series and I couldn't agree more.
What a series!
The story: simply witty, brilliant, almost flawless. Provided it was fictional, yet the writer exhibited their good knowledge of a period of Korean history full of intrigue and merciless fight for authority and power. The dialogues and twist and turns of the story were absolutely of my liking. It kept my interest up till the last episode.
The scenography, photography and settings: I've seen the same palace over a dozen times at various historical series; it was the first time I noticed them, though, thanks to the angles of takes.
The costumes: simply amazing! I loved the suits of the guards, so elegant. The elaborate costumes of the court, King, Queen Dowager and royal Concubines. Congrats to the designer and the people that made them.
The music: besides a piece or two I didn't like (but then, again, that's a personal opinion) it served quite well the purpose of the scenario and direction.
The direction: Absolutely great. The director had studied the scenes meticulously and executed them wisely, and you could tell.
The actors: They were simply amazing, all of them.
I graded for rewatch value 9,5 for a simple reason: Bloody heart was so intense, that it will take me some time before I decide to watch it again.

started nice, ended thumbs down

I've been watching Korean dramas for almost two years now and I've become a huge fan. What's not to love about them? First of all, the depth of characters, the moral values, then the poetic scenarios, the unexpected, the music and songs, the cinematography. Overall, most of the dramas I've watched so far were worthy of the hours I 'd glued to my tv screen.
But once in a blue moon, I happen to see flops, as The Road, the tragedy of one. The first few episodes cought my attention, but the rest of them were as if I was watching a boring table tennis game, where the ball was passing to each one of the characters as potential suspects of the abduction and murders, unsuccessfully. I was looking forward for the last episode for some explanations, but unfortunately they were never given. Too many episodes were spent on the fuss of the who did it, with the scenario looped over and over again on the same points, and when the time came for explanations to be given, it failed miserably.
As for the acting, now. I've seen mr. Ji Jin Hee in many dramas (he was exceptional in Misty and Designated Survivor). In this one, I had the impression that he was sick and tired of the poor scenario, so he let himself to pool some indefinite smiles occasionally, as if he couldn't help himself. Many kundos to mr. Chun Ho Jin, Kim Sung Soo and Ahn Nae Sang. It was the first time for me to see the actor who played the brother in law, I hope next time I see him he 'll be improved. Too stiff and not knowning what to do with his body, most of the times. (Sorry, but he didn't convince me the slightest.) The children actors were, as in almost every Kdrama, very good. Ms. Yoon Se Ah was truly exceptional in Snowdrop, in this drama though she was just doing her job, nothing more or less. Ms. Kim Hye Eun also. Ms. Baek Ji Won is always stellar.
Re-watching value? Nah...

It was clearly a ten for me

I had my preservations, when I first started watching it, especially when the first song hit off. I said to myself, 'nahhh', there was no way I was going to watch a musical, so I dropped it mid half the 1st episode for about two months, I think. And then, its' time was up! I tried to rewatch it (in the meanwhile I'd forgotten all about it) and it swept me away! I was even wondering, why on earth had I dropped it then, but there's a saying 'everything has its' proper time' and I guess that series was made for that saying.
It was one of these musicals that give meaning to the songs and the songs did indeed came on the right time with the right follow up. The lyrics were on the spot, the actors were amazing as they interprete the songs with their facial expressions and emotions; and that's something one does not easily find in musicals. I applaud for the hard work of everyone.
The ML, Ji Chang Wook, I'd seen in other series and I was pleasantly surprised with his singing and dancing talent. The same goes for the FL, Choi Sung Yun.
I was afraid I was going to be disappointed as the end approached, but thank goodness, no. It was delivered with a rational explanation that did not destroy the whole essence of the story, so congrats to everybody that helped in making 'The sound of magic'.

A descent presentation of autistic syndrom and its' variables

I liked it.
I liked the way the FL portrayed attorney Woo. I liked the descency and respect towards people with autism. I liked the way the writer gave us some episodes with people with autism. I liked the whales! Of course!
I liked the actor Kang Ki Young that I've seen in light comedy series on that kind of role. I liked Lee Ji Young as the judge, the script was so witty of the episodes he was in, it showed he had lots of fun acting as judge.
Too many emotions, also. I laughed, I got sentimental, I felt for the heroes/heroines.
My personal opinion: It's worth watching it.
PS. I even looked for the healing sounds of whales on Youtube... What else is there to be?

excellent!

I'd watched these series some time now, but it was only today it occured to me I should leave a review for it, just for one reason it reminded to me: the outstanding music! Wow! What an awsome composition! How inspired it was, how well it dressed the scenes, what an excellent orchestration! Mr. Kim Joon Seok and ms. Jung Se Rin, congratulations! I humbly admit I'd downloaded the music and that, today, reminded to me I should leave a review.
Equally, the cinematographers did an excellent job, also. Congrats to them, too.
I should mention the plot, the actors, the director, that also gave their best of themselves.
Flower of Evil was one of the memorable series I've watched.
If anyone of you viewers have not seen it yet, please go ahead!

So, what happens next?

Okay, I just finished the unfinished series Missing Noir M, wondering where's the ending? Such a strong story, yet the katharsis wasn't even in the air. Seeing that it was filmed on 2015, I guess it's too late to ask what happens next. Such a pity! Whoever knows, please let me know why it ended that abruptly. Was it because that kind of stuff happen in real life?
As for the story, I already wrote about it above.
The music was excellent, especially the instrumental that filled every scene successfully. The one and only song was also fantastic.
The acting was, too, amazing.
Directing and cinematography was satisfying also.

A kid is always a kid-

-no matter how clever they may be. Having seen The Long Night, I was expecting an equally good plot in series and The Bad Kids did not fail me. The children actors/actresses were excellent, even those in small roles.
The actor in main character (the Math teacher) was also excellent. The retired detective, the step mother, were also excellent in their performance. The directing of the series was great, I liked that some scenes were without any soundtrack, it made the whole story more realistic.
The only flaw I found was that of how unexpectingly the detective connected all the dots and solved the case, it seemed like out of the blue.
The series portrayed very well how easily children can be manipulated due to their immaturity and that, for me, was the key of success of that story.
Rewatch value, 9,5/10 which means, you must watch it!

Almost real as life is

Actually, The Long Night had me watching it because I found out it was based on a book. I know, many adaptations are not as successful or even based at all on the book, and, secondly, I haven't read the book (although I 'll search whether it's been translated into Greek), but provided it was based on literature, caught my interest.
The script, the direction, the music, the takes, the actors, were all amazing. The only spoiler I can give is the awsome scene on the 11th episode of the detective, his tennis ball and the music, that really made my jaw to drop.
The series portrayed -to my opinion- how unfair life can be in the pursuit of justice. The actor who played the role of the prosecutor, gave a stellar performance, as he starts as an optimistic young person that has the whole life infront of him and we can watch him to gradually lose his brightness and health being transformed to a shrunk and broken man, who insists to keep his hopes nevertheless.
Rewatch value 10/10. Don't miss that jewel.

an overwhelming script!

Congratulations to the writer, mr. Moon Yoo Seok! While watching the series, I wondered who the writer was and when I read he is a former judge, everything made sense. Not only the story was mindblowing, but he also gave to the characters depth and essence, even to the minor roles. So, don't miss watching it, it will not let you down.
Congratulations to the actors, too! All of them were excellent, the main leads to the minor leads. Ji Soong mastered his character with his stone-face expressions when needed, kudos. Jang Yeong Nam portrayed a relentless lady, kudos. Park Jin Yeong was excellent in portraying the wavering judge, kudos. Park Gyo Yeong also excellent, kudos. Baek Hyon Jin, WOW! I really hope he gets an award for his acting! Lee Hae Yoon, he totally convinced me, kudos! Jeon Chae Eun, I agree to the reviewer who wrote she was so mature in acting, kudos. Kim Jae Kyung, although she did not have a main lead, she played a major role in the plot of the story, she pulled it through, kudos. Kim Min Jung, at first I had the notion she was repeating herself as I had seen her at Mr. Sunshine, given her campy acting, it seemed to me like she was being too obvious at expressing her feelings with her demeanor and facial expressions, but I took it all back watching her heartbreaking acting to the end, kudos. Please forgive me for not mentioning the rest of the actors, I'd need a day to write a review for all of them, kudos.
The soundtrack: an excellent choice!
And finally, last but not least, many kudos to the director and his cast, Choi Jung Gyu for the cinematography, the meticulous guidance of his actors/actresses.
I strongly suggest to you to watching The Devil Judge. It will stay with me for a long time, that's for sure!

I'd never seen Rain acting before, actually, I'd never seen him at all, period. The story was really good, it had no flaws to my opinion, it kept my interest at its highest to the very end. I enjoyed the presence of Bo Na, the little girl, so witty dialogues with her father (we have a saying in Greek, 'you may find the truth either from a crazy man or a child', which was just the case), that was the highlight of the story.
Overall, the acting of all actors and actresses was superb -I read a review for the bad guys that was a complimentary one and I agree, hate/love reaction of the viewer.
I liked the parallel universe story, it was not over the top.
My recommendation is a must see one. Welcome 2 life was one of the best series I've watched so far.

Not in the slightest convincing as in acting or script

First of all, I must seek for the understanding of Lee Jong Suk, as I have nothing good to write about his (not existing) acting, according to my opinion, that is. What the...? It was during the 7th episode that I asked myself, why do I bother to watch this? All I was seeing was the efforts of someone who tried to act manly but couldn't, from the pink pyjamas he wore on the 1st episode as he played 'home' with his wife(?), holding his waist on bed as a ballerina, sharing the eye night cream with his wife (?), just resting his arms on his wife(?) instead of hugging her, had the same expression-less face throught the show (well, up until the 7th episode), trying to give the deepest tone is his voice to sound serious, BUT NOT CONVINCING! The whole cast (tough men) in prison could not save his face nor make him show tough to the slightest. Maybe it would be better for him to stick to light asexual comedies, than him trying so hopelessly to show some ( I really don't know any other better word than the one that we have in Greek, so here it is, "βαρβατίλα". Maybe, 'mucho'? Probably that's the word. Mr. Lee had always that light smile on the tips of his lips and the same look on his eyes, that's nothing, that is. I know he's a mega star in Hangul, but please, give me a break! I had seen him in two series, the third, 'Pinocchio', I dropped because of him. Such an untalented actor!
The story is so predictable, that was the second reason I dropped the series. I bet you anything that the prime evil guy is the mayor, and big mouth is the least expected in the series, probably the head (or the puppet) of a shadowy organisation. There.
No need to watch it.
Sorry for the harsh review, I'd better go and watch something else than Big mouth.

Boring!

I really don't know why I kept watching it, until I realized I was wasting my time. Perhaps it'd be better if it had less episodes, let's say up to 6 or 8. There were episodes that kept repeating themselves that got me frustrated, so I decided to drop it.
I like the ML and FL as well as the other actors at support roles, it was obvious they were did their best to an absolutely weak scenario.
I found the robes of the actors too shabby.
I think I liked the legitimate son's acting, but then again, having him acting like that, to the end it seemed as if they (the jakkanim? the director? the actor himself?) came with that idea to spice up the story.
Sorry, I dropped it. I am sorry because I should have dropped it sooner. What a waste of my time!
