....it’s Wei leng fault... give her holy water
All was Wei leng fault... please give her holy water to finally scatter bad luck and stop attracting all the bad people intentions around her.Brillant series and interprétations, a deluxe team of actors!
Some aspects:
1. The script could deserve extra considération, another approach on and a more expressed and veemente condamnation of domestic violence!
2. Also a higher percentage of more emancipated, educated women in the series would have been highly welcomed, despite the fact that during ages that WAS not the situation.;
3. And most woman are being protracted, all the time, as thesey, divisive, sordic, submissive and twisted beings.
Even if the overall objective is to add feelings, dynamisme, to facilitates a commercial drama plot, Its extent might be going a bit too far.
ALL the above said: Prince Ann is by far the most interesting character! Deserved a better script development, a true opportunity, to blossom despite ALL the adversities.
Even if this is a historical drama, it is also a fictional drama. Therefore why not enrich it by adding some other parfums. Ex. At a given moment situations become recurrent if not repetitive. For almost 40;episodes there is the over presence of our Heroine being accused of all that went Rong in both heavens and earth, with a significant part taking place in the manor and on the prison and on palace laundry department....
with all the above said, i did enjoy, the story, the plot and all the actors. Good entertainment!

Bewildering!Thrilling script, AWESOME ACTORS, delightful production.
It captivates from minute one, and it drags you to binge watching during all weekend.
Only to come to the end to concede waiting for 2 more years again to have Strangers series part 3!!!
Congratulations to all (what an amazing team of writers!).
It is always difficult to keep up the quality and success of such a good series!
You have definitely achieved it!

Surprisingly captivating from first glimpse! Highly entertating, excellent Work!
Love the script, love the script, love the script.Despite the limited resources, the kids are ALL brillant actors!
On top, the fabulous support roles are granted time, space again and again to build their respective roles.
And they do it so well that they manage to temporarily become main roles, without shadowing the leads at any time, improving greatly the overall series,.
THIS IS a feature as amazing as is difficult to create and highly achive! Congratulations!

ALSO fabulous soundtrack, loved the “live”moments! Not too much, not too little and very good quality on top ! :)
Still, and bearing bon mind the sucess of the series, the amazing reviews for the audience,
IT would be nice, IF possible, to listen to the audience and to reedit a bit the last two episodes. Just the last two, let the others be. Even the last two do not require much editing (Please don’t change much of the episodes nor the plot, don’t change the end), just do some more editing of a few mismatched frames to make the transitions more subtile, with a more obvious cohérence (ex. Whi did hé NOT take the father to the hospital too, IF he had gone in the restaurant to bring take-away food?!? And the scene of the kidnape o of the child is truly weird, a no go: leaves with and un known man, and is brought back an unknownmen....all creapy, all bad. These small changes could pease the vibrante and romantic Audience ;).
All in love, loved it! Excellent highly entertaining moments!

An amazing chemistry between the renowned talented actors, an excellent director, choreographers, writers.
Fascinating characters with an entangling superb balance of women and men roles.
The script is captivating to the extent of overwhelming.

In particular because of the amazing script of this series, and the reference to so many beautiful classical poems and quotes, it is indeed regrettable that unlike the first episodes of the series, there was an option to cover the chinese dialogues with the eng translation.
This increases the readability of the eng translation, however it forbids the access to the original Chinese language dialogues. Other, better solutions can be found to avoid losing the Chinese dialogues while keeping the eng translation. When making any cultural treasure available, we should care to exhibit it in the best possible way. Just imagine going to the Louvre and only being able to see Leonardo da Vinci‘s (达芬奇）”La Gioconda” wrapped in plastic. We can still see it but...
Please do reconsider your options regarding how to make the translations available to us all, as the Chinese language is also a treasure per itself, and it is great when we can appreciate and have the opportunity to enjoy both the dialogues in Chinese as their translation into eng and other languages. Again thank you for the translation in eng, but please do let us have access to the chinese dialogues. ?

🤩AMAZING! Best comedy ever!What a huge and indeed audacious production for a comedy!
The producers had the courage to go ahead with revisiting a comedy series which engages dozens of actors and performers in a huge setting.
On top it manages to keep a captivating, intelligent and dynamic script flow, which successfully resonates with an international audience! Well done!!!

It blossoms slowly and consistently with each episode, to its full lavishness. Elements of neo-noir american cinema style, remesniscences of the cult movie « Sin City » come to mind. However, the universe and characters hold more esthetical and context luxuriance with the eastern fragrance!!! The sound track, the production are utterly superb! Passionately entertaining!!!

I would suggest that this series deserve an alternative title translation more appealing to a broader public. There are too many references to tittles with « blood » everywhere. « Charming wujian»; « « boundless charm » , could work and might even remain longer. This series really stands for its own merits and deserves to have a tittle translation which duly refflects it.
