Wasted Potential
The trailer promised too much and the series didn’t deliver. I love Perth and I love Chimon, but them together was not it. We have seen both actors deliver amazing acting previously this year (Home School and Double Savage as examples) so the subpar delivery of the feelings the characters were supposed to feel is weird. The romance is not believable, however the enemies part of the show is really great. Wasted potential to drive up the tension and drama, but it never delivered. Also, the danger felt sprinkled in without direction. The side characters are charicatures with no fleshed out story line or personality. Their actions confusing and strange at times because we do not get enough time to get to know them which made them boring. There were so much potential here to make great side stories but we never got it.
The plot was not plotting in my opinion and the chemistry couldn’t carry a series without drivers in the story. It started off strong, but then bellyflopped from the 4th episode and became meh. It wasn’t so bad that I dropped it, but it definitivly will never be rewatched.

Complex and Interesting Characters to Watch
First of I want to say that the complexity in the characters of this series is what captivated me the most. The psychology behind understanding the characters, their motives and character development was top-tier. This combined with an amazing delivery by the main cast sold it for me. The casting was great, especially Poom. His ability to act emotions and deliver them through his eyes is everything. He definitively gained a fan in me.Ultimately it is a story of many grey characters, there are no villains as so many viewers like to define the characters by. They all suffer from faults, because they are human. There are no red flags or green flags, there are just human beings in this series, and we get to follow their travel through the series and how their connections and relationships develop. I think I liked and disliked all the characters at some points in the show. This is a complex adult series, not a comfort watch.
Secondly, were there some things that irked me and could have been a tiny bit better written out? Yes, but in no way did it take away my enjoyment of the show. That is personal preference and artistic choices made by the production crew. Having read the novel after, I think they did amazing in turning this into a TV series. The magic part of the show was very nicely integrated and I especially loved how they kept Poom to play Joe throughout even after the body swapping. I'm usually not one for this trope, but in this series I didn't mind it because it was not focused on to be the main part of the story although it was a big part of the plot.
I do think the series fell victim to the need to wrap everything up in a nice bow by the end, and made it less believable to me, but overall I choose to ignore the fact and focus on all the excellent things the series delivered. I have already re-watched it, and I will 100% re-watch it again very soon. Highly recommended.

Disappointed potential
A Thai BL in a Korean formatting… giving a little more spice/drama and quick story progressing. Shorter episodes and number of episodes. The story seemed as a freah and new premise that we have not seen before. The trailer looked amazing and the CGI elements looked very well made. However, as the story progressed it bacame more and more cliche, which might not be a bad thing for some. I’m just disappointed it didn’t deliver what I expected from it.
Overall, I personally found it quite boring and it has no particular rewatch value for except maybe to watch selected scenes again. The writing became very predictable and fell into old tracks instead of trying to surprise us. I have not read the source material, so this might be expected for the ones who know if the producers were true to that or not.
The acting could be better for some of the cast. Particularly emotional scenes seemes a little forced and unbelievable. But it is far from the worst performances I have ever seen in a BL. My main challenge with the series lies with the, to me, perceived underdeveloped characters. The heroes were the classic heroes and the villains were the classical cartoon villains without any depth. With the shorter and fewer episodes, side characters were given too much room in my opinion so there were no real time for character maturing.
Also the background music choices were at times a little strange. I did think based on the amazing CGI in the first episodes made me belive that the production had a better budget than it did have.
All in all, its a sweet watch that I would recommend to people, but not in my top 10 for 2023 as I initially thought it would be sadly.

Laugh until you cry
From the very first episode I laughed so hard I cried for each and every one. It is pure hilarious chaos and I will rewatch certain episodes on days when I’m sad because it is certain to make me laugh no matter what :D : DThe pairings OffGun, TayNew, PondPhuwin, PerthChimon and GeminiFourth are all being their own weird little self and spreading joy to the watchers. Hope they have more of this type of content because it is so good that you don’t even care about the Brand’s constant plugs and commercial bits!

Hurt/Comfort BL
An all-round well done series, it is enjoyable and an easy watch. Acting, plot and directing are all decent and worthwhile. It had the potential to be one of my top series of 2024, but in the end got a 8/10 overall rating. It is definitivly a great watch and re-watch value for those warm and fussy feelings that I sometimes crave. And it doesnt hurt that the main and support characters look good too, a well casted lineup. Plot could have been a little more developed in my opinion, with a tad more fleshed out storylines in couple of the episodes.
The start is particularly strong and ep 1-4 are my personal favourites. The chemistry between Fort and Peat really shines. Then we get into the more drama packed plots of the series that gives you the feels before it rounds off with the romances.
Fort and Peat has great chemistry and they manage to bounce energy off eachother so that it translates through the screen and to the viewers. The acting of the GL couple is also good, but Mame should probably put a little more effort in writing more well-developed female characters.
You should definitivly give it a shot, and I bet its even better now that its finished so you can binge it :)

Classic High School Drama
A story about friendships, somewhat growing up and navigating life in high school drama. It takes you on an emotional roller coaster that depicts pretty accurate the worries of teenagers.Dunk and Lookjun were my highlight of this series. Especially Dunk delivered a great performance as White. That one emotional scene made me cry and I’m not a crier. Lookjun was perfect as Ivy.
Ryu and Java did good too, just wish we would been allowed to explore their plot more. I’m still wondering about Tan’s backstory and Jewel’s personality. I did like their progression, but they could have spent more time on thrm instead of other focuses.
Phuwin and Parn delivered ok in giving life to their characters. At least I learnt that onscreen, Phuwin really just kisses that way?♀️ It is what it is… I’m still mad about GMM making yet another one-dimensional female character with absolutly no growth or development. At least Lune had some trauma that explained why he did what he did and acted like he were.

Still confused after 8eps
The story in itself is very interesting as a BL storyline, however the execution still got me confused after watching all 8 episodes. Still not sure who all the characters are, how they are linked or what their names are. And, that is after checking MDL multiple times while watching the episodes to do a double take whom I’m watching on screen. Also, is this supposed to be an ending? What with all the open ended stories? The relationships? The couples? Scratching my head why the series ended before all the stories were completed, in my opinion.
This series is also one of the few where not even the NCs could always keep me interested. They felt out of nowhere at times, sometimes placed in weird places, and one I thought they just played the same clip shown 2 episodes earlier? Not sure lol Some were also a bit boring and repetative, I think Thailand has an issue with Vampires as much as they like chomping on others necks.
All in all, not bad enough that I dropped it, but will peobably never rewatch the series or sequences of the show ever again if not popping up on reels or TikTok…

Started strong, but…
The series is a continuation of My Story that also can be found on Oxin Studios YT page.We see how Fifth and Zeke’s relationship progresses over the next year-ish and how they cope woth the different challenges that comes along the way. Personally I dont find the writting particularly innovative or creative, but rather boring and predictable. They managed to make the characters so lovable and relatable in the previous season, that its pretty surprising how they manage to completly wreck this in this season in my opinion.
The most interesting part of this series is their friends and their story arc. That actually got some fleshed out plot and quality content. The GL side couple is there, and in my mind could just as easily been cut to give more screen time and place to actually explore the main couple. The hetro couple and the older gay couple was not needed and frankly the acting by the actors playing in the hetro couple was horrid.
My main complaint about this series is this: We knew there would be obstacles that Zeke and Fifth had to overcome. However, when one write one of the character to be so unlinable that there is almost no redemption arc to be found for them, then the choice that the writer took was a cheap cop-out that soured my taste and overall enjoyment.
I will maybe on a gray and boring evening rewatch for Joel and Jason’s story line, fast forwarding over everything else, and regret my life choices by it all over again. But, it will definitivly not be for anyone else.

Never fulfilled potential
As everyone knows, the subtitles are horrible. However, with a dash of context, open-minded-ness and very basic Thai understanding you can somewhat follow the plot without issue. Some of the actors deliver great work, some mediocre and quite a few clearly could use a couple more workshops or better directing.
As for the storyline, it could have been so good. And at times I were thoroughly entertained. But, and it is a big but, very cliché in my opinion. Cliché doesn’t always mean bad, as there is a reason why it’s popular. However, the production isn’t good enough to carry it and it falls flat at times.
It gave BLs anno 2020, and sadly not in the good way for me. Better production, directing, acting talent and chemistry between most of the cast could have made this into a great series because the foundation and potential was there, although very hidden.
Worth a watch if you are bored and have nothing better to catch up on or rewatch, but I think I’m gonna pass on watching this a second time to be fair.

An Epic Lakorn Love Story
A show I found myself waiting in anticipation for each week. With a strong traditional start, an action packed middle and finishing off with a deeply emotional ending… this series is one of my highest ranking series ever. I only wish that the episodes were longer and more of.The story is different to anything I have seen before, its both fresh and interesting. The pacing and directing of the story is very well done for a 10 episode show. It very much keeps to the traditional buildup of a Thai Lakorn just with two males leads, and I appreciate that.
The acting of all the actors are believable, emotional and translates through the screen. They’re managing the drama, the comdic relief parts and the action scenes amazingly. Offroad and Daou has great chemistry and their scenes together feels natural and warm.
I greatly recommend giving this series a chance and maybe you’ll find one of your favourite series of 2024 too.

Chemistry is Chemistry’ing
Its been a long time since I watched a series with this good genuine chemistry between the actors. Helped by the actors appearing both comfortable with eachother and self-confidence. Both of the main actors delivers their roles to a high level and everything from line delivery to microexpressions are on point. The side character also do a great job in their charcter portrayals, but the story mainly evolves around the mains, Great & Inn.Thor & Fluke also deserves a shoutout in making their relationships as their characters so obvious and heartfelt even without saying a single word. It is nice to see their particular couple dynamic portrayed in the series.
The series does try to show diversity throughout the episodes with more or less success. I really comend them for their efforts and it is highly apreciated to see the characters as individuals that is believable.
The plot is to me mostly engaging and interesting, and where the plot falls through and doesnt drive the storyline the insane chemistry between Great & Inn covers for it. I have greatly enjoyed watching this series and I kept looking forward to it each and every week. Sad that this is the end, but hoping to see more Great & Inn/ Thor & Fluke series in the future.

Light and Fluffy
If you love romantic, fluffy and cute shows with cute characters without too much complexity, THIS IS THE SERIES FOR YOU! For all the romcom lovers out there, this is a must watch. Sea and Keen are amazing together and managed to make the show into a great show by showcasing their on-screen chemistry. They managed to take what obviously was a low-budget filler show that were meant to showcase singing and dancing ability of the aspiring musicians in GMMtv and turn it into the Young Adult Romance show it should have been from the start.I gave this series overall a 9, but I struggled to keep watching it weekly. It was not a show that could keep my investment, but for what it is (cute, funny, fluffy and romance) it is amazing. I'm not usually someone who loved those kinds of series however the acting abilities and the chemistry between the characters made me love it anyway. For me this is definitively a show that is a binge-show when you need some comfort, cute vibes and an escape from you daily struggles.

COMFORT WATCH - Great Cast with Amazing Chemistry
This series is the one we have been asking for, no unnecessary drama created just because and focusing on the character relationships, development and how they together overcome their personal hurdles. I loved that we were allowed time to explore the individual relationships between the friends as well as between the couples. There is of cause love connections in the series as it is a Boy's Love series, but equally as great is it to just sit and watch the different friendship dynamics portrayed.Over the episodes you get to meet and connect with the characters and for the most part they all have fairly fleshed out back stories and plots. Although it is hard to do this to the same extent for all of them as the cast is quite large, there is no seemingly unnecessary characters introduced. They all have their individual characters and traits that show believable and varied expressions of friendship, love and affection. I also like how we see four very different types of couple dynamics, and that one isn't better than the others, they are just different but equally deep in their feelings.
It is a modern take on a classic University BL that I really appreciate. It shows that you can make a non-toxic University BL that gives the viewers warmth and promote healthy relationships. Although some of the criticism of the series is by some a perceived lack of plot, I personally do not think so. The plot is the friendships and lives of the 4 couples. Whom all have good charisma and chemistry that carries the series to the end. The series doesn't need the big dramas to carry it throughout because the chemistry between all the actors carries the story beautifully.
I only wished the episodes were longer and that there were more of them, as this series has been a great COMFORT WATCH.

Not bad, just a bit boring
I finished it, probably will only rewatch Neo and Aungpao’s scenes if I rewatch. It’s not a bad series, just a bit boring in my opinion. There are a lot of scenes where I found myself losing interest and waiting for it to switch up. I needed more excitement and Comedy in this RomCom.I think my main issue was the portrayal of Prem. He is a person who is so flat and boring that the scenes were also flat and boring. When a character is so non-descript then the plot really needs to carry the show, and it was to me way too predictable. Even the «plot twists» they introduced in the last couple of episodes made me roll my eyes instead of introducing any «drama» or excitement.
The love between the characters were believable, however the OffGun chemistry did nothing for me. It’s trying to be a wholesome series, and it does manage to be that. It was sweet, but it did not make me giddy. Although the main couple did have some shining moments that I liked, overall in my opinion, half the scenes with the cooking were too long and could have been left out.
The couple that were making me feel things were NeoAungpao. The side-couple carried majorly. I found myself tuning in each week for them and not the main couple. Without them or the friend characters introducing some personality into the show, I would probably have dropped the series.

started of really strong
The first 2/3 of the series is well produced and edited, then something happened. It’s also like they kind of gave up on the story line? I’m not sure. The plot isn’t jumpy and difficult to follow, and the series is an easy watch. Someone compared it to an old soap opera and I like that analogy.Acting wise its a little stiff at times, not as natural as I personally would have liked. Its not bad, just sometimes feel like they are delivering lines they are uncomfortable with or doesn’t come natural to them to say.
It’s def NC heavy, some scenes better done than others. And some edited a lot better in the post-production than others. My take away is that the production company started to do a bad job somewhere in the process of making this series and that is hurting the overall feel of quality more than the delivery of the actors.
Will I rewatch? Maybe, maybe not. Probably only the first half, if I do.
