A mixed bag
I’ll be honest, I almost dropped this drama so many times through my watch, but managed to keep my interest just enough for me to continue. This isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy this drama at all..I did, but I found it very frustrating frequently.
The main source of my frustration really came from Soel’s constant insistence to excuse Joeng’s toxic and very often manipulative behavior...often coming to the conclusion she has to attempt to understand him more etc.
Every time she’d find out about a situation he caused I’d think “okay, this’ll be the final straw..she’s gonna put her foot down” only to come to this conclusion.
I found myself being the most drawn to In-ho’s portion of the story... not just his relationship to Soel, but his entire journey from being a “delinquent” type starting over, to overcoming his fear of approaching the piano again...
I also found his conflicts much more engaging..dealing with his friendship and later love with Soel..his conflict with Jeong and In-ha (who is insufferable) his damaged hand and gang past.
I really believe he’s what kept me watching.
Definitely would’ve preferred a relationship with him and Soel, who I felt had much more chemistry.
This leads me to the ending which I really can’t say I’m fond of.
Soel and In-ho oddly kinda...dropped eachother? Him confessing really did completely ruin their friendship and it seemed like Soel..who seemed to value their relationship earlier, just didn’t seem to even care that he was leaving or keeping in contact...even the last mention of him seemed to make her uncomfortable...
A lot of the conflicts built up just seemed to dissipate at the end in an unsatisfying way..like suddenly the injured hand is no longer an issue..the gang is no longer an issue etc..it made this drama feel like it just suddenly...stopped? Not to even mention that she technically isn’t even with Jeong at the end (although it implies they’ll get back together)
Just a very messy ending all-around.

Disappointing
I gave this a watch over the Halloween season..I thought the premise seemed interesting and so far I’ve been pretty impressed by Korea’s depictions of zombies.I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t like this too much lol.
It’s just a series of the main character making stupid decisions..yes, a common complaint of the horror genre, but it was pretty hard to suspend disbelief on this one.
Seeing people getting eaten alive outside and hearing disturbing sounds from your hallway? Open the door!
Doomed woman outside getting eaten alive? Yell out your window and attract zombies to your apartment!
Family is murdered? Go outside and YELL in the zombies faces!
Has a gun at a critical moment and doesn’t use it only to use it later unnecessarily and attract every zombie in radius? Perfect logic
Watch several people die at the hands of a few zombies down below? Drop into a sea of them and clumsily fight them off!
Find a dead body right outside your door that just so happened to have lived in the building and just so happened to have his key on him and you just so happened to know where the apartment was...convenient.
Find a whole wall of climbing equipment? Only take the Nutella and Walkie Talkie!
Also, why does he have electricity but the other apartments don’t?
And the list goes on....
Only saving grace was the makeup and special effects.

Where to even start with this drama? Well, let’s start with what I liked the most about it...the acting was quite good as others have mentioned, particularly Oh Soo’s actor.
He was easily one of the best actors I’ve seen in an Asian drama, and I really enjoyed his performance.
In relation to that I found Oh Soo’s character arc to be much more believable than some other dramas I’ve seen...I really felt like he grew in a much more natural way, but still felt like the same person rather than suddenly changing like, once again, other dramas I’ve seen.
My general thoughts about this drama are that, it’s okay..not bad, but certainly not great..as times it felt not fun in the slightest to watch. Good cinematography, good acting..A story than ranges from okay, to meh, to bleh...
I really don’t know why this didn’t seem to bother anyone else, but I really didn’t like how “touchy feely” they were as “siblings” there were points (especially the way she acted towards him) Where I was like “no sibling says that or does that” and things eventually started feeling more and more uncomfortable to watch as you realize their relationship is developing as “siblings”, but they’re also falling in love.
I didn’t like how wishy washy Young was at times..her behavior seem so random most of the time.
one moment she hates secretary Wang and wants her to leave (and justifiably so) and then she’s happy when she comes back? What Secretary Wang did was pretty bad and she never even really explains herself
There are so many plot holes present, particularly at the end, which was also very frustrating to me.

Couldn’t stop watching
I really had no idea what to expect with this drama..I had watched and enjoyed a few C-dramas but I was never as engrossed in one as I was with this.It does have some shamelessly romantic fluff in there (like way to give me unrealistic expectations for men) and While I wouldn’t call this a masterpiece or the best drama writing wise, I just couldn’t help but be addicted and drawn into it.
My biggest complaint (and in the grand scheme it’s a small one) was just how cartoony the action is...I’m not even kidding everyone moves like a freaking airbender, and it’s ridiculous...I almost stopped watching the first episode from it..glad I waited and didn’t judge the overall quality based on the action scenes.
Also..I didn’t exactly get bored, but things got a little repetitive with the main character constantly getting framed and having to prove herself innocent.
Now, back to the good.
The costumes are nothing short of gorgeous...The main leads have incredible chemistry and I honestly believe that’s why this drama works so well..there’s many other very likable characters and even a twist villain I wouldn’t have expected.
Definitely give this drama a shot. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but I think it’s worth your time.
