There were no chemistry between Hawick and Yan Song. It was like pulling teeth out of her to get some kind of an emotion. She's like a robot. There were only a few scenes that you can see some potential from her. Hawick seemed to have carried the weight of this drama. I like the supporting cast members. The boy was too cute. Loved his awesome curly hair. The designer couple was great. They made the scenes with Yan Song bearable. Not sure what Yan Song's frenemy's role was in here. Was she an nemesis or a friend. I liked how they killed off Hawick's rivalry.
I would not recommend this to anyone. Bad bad bad....unless you wanna see Hawick's handsome face.

This show is very touching. The storyline is wonderful. It's about family, love, betrayal, hate, and forgiveness. i love the story about the twins and what each went through. Though there were times when I couldn't stand the elder sister (Anjing) and wished all evil things, I have to sit back and think about her sacrifices too. Anning, the younger of the twins, is very nice and considerate of others. Sometimes she is way too nice that she lets others step all over her. Her character is tooooooo common of a theme for me though. I just wish she had a stronger character and not to forgive too easily. At least with Anjing, you see the development of her character from a naive innocent teen to a manipulative cold hearted, ruthlessness schemer. But you still forgive her because there is repentance. Anle is another of the sisters (different moms). I keep forgetting that she's just a kid, but her character is really annoying. At one point I thought the writer cut her off completely from the script. That was just wishful thinking on my end. I watched this show for Tiamming. I loved his character in Lady & Liar. He's so good looking. he is an accomplished actor. I love his role in this drama. I love that however he's feeling, you can see it in his eyes. When he's in love, you want to be on the receiving end. All the things he did in the name of love and not taking credit for it. Love love love his character. Jiajia is super annoying and I don't know why Tiamming puts up with her. She is such a psycho and is very selfish. In order to get what she wants, she will trample over everyone. And in the end, did she end up with the hero???? I can't stand Muxuan's character either. What is perfection? He's also another of the selfish characters that I couldn't stand. Like Anle, I thought his character ended when he left the country. I was very happy to see him go away.
the actors and actresses are very good. For the viewer to love/hate them, they are doing a great job. Each of the characters in the end you forgive them all. That is how great the drama was. The writer tied the story very neatly. The last 2 episodes were very touching. I didn't mind having a sleepless night to finish this. I really enjoyed this show. I especially love the little girl, Anyi. She's sooooooo adorable.
What is the meaning of love? Is it to sacrifice yourself for someone you love? Is it betraying your loved ones to achieve it? How much can a person go through in order to receive love? Can there be complete forgiveness? Watch this and you'll see. Don't try to skip any parts. It's very interesting with the twists and turns. You'll also see the development of these characters. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Cheers!

Acting - all the characters are so good in their roles. The evil ones are the best. I loved how Zhang Wen Jin's one-sided love turned him into an insane stalker/killer because of his illusion of love for Zhang Lian Xin. Lian Xin's character developed over time. I loved that she can climb the social ladder of society and make a name for herself. It doesn't hurt that she has all these men vying for her attention. The only thing is that I can't tell who she loves. Is it Chong Yong? Is it He Tian? Chong Yong's character is so brilliant. He is a force to be reckon with. He has super good martial skills, his devotion to Lian Xin, his struggles with the Japanese, his will to survive, and so on. I was rooting for him the whole time. He Tian is a great detective and such a nice guy. Will he end up with Lian Xin?
The story is great. I liked how it starts off with the wedding and then flashes back to the events that led to the wedding. I'm not sure if I've missed some scenes because the story didn't flow. But it didn't matter anyways because you can tell what happened with the possible deleted scenes. The costumes they wore were nice. I couldn't stand Lian Xin's hairdo as a maid. One word...yucks! I just wished the conclusion wasn't so open-ended. Watch it and you'll see what I mean. Overall, I've had some countless night watching this. It's very good. I totally recommend this to anyone who like very long dramas.

The show starts off really strong and funny. the 2 main leads are hilarious. I love love love the bee powder. Yi Feng is so funny teamed with my fave actress, Tiffany. They make such an adorable couple. The scenery is gorgeous. I love the costumes they wore, especially the kimono worn by Shu Chang at the end.
Towards the end of the show it started to drag for me. I was thinking, what happened to my main leads? instead of being funny and cute, it was so melodramatic. I don't like how Tiffany's character changed from being strong to being so naive and NICE. I mean, your friends lie/cheat/tries to assassins you and you still trust them?
As for the second leads...what is more important? Who do you choose? A family member who manipulates you or a person you love in the whole world?
Is there an alternate ending? I felt like I wasted my time watching this. The ending was too rush. Why does it seem like that for majority of CDramas?
Would I watch it again? Maybe just the first part of the show. I still love Tiffany and I think she's awesome. I love her in the perfect couple with Wallace. That I can watch over and over again. I will be reviewing that shortly.

Oh well. Back to the show. I like the flashbacks to the story. It puts two and two together. the show could have been just the two of them and it would still make a good show. Once you start the show you'll get hooked. Would I watch it again? definitely!
I'm currently watching You Are My Sister (just for Hawick Lau) and My Sunshine (love Tiffany Tang). Come back and find my reviews!

Acting was great. The 3 male leads were awesome. Love the bromance between Wang Kai and Zhang Duo. George Hu is super cute. Loved his martial arts skills.
The ending is a cliff hanger. Not sure if they're going to do part 2. If there is no part 2, then I'love just interpret it however I like it and call it a day.
I would watch it again even though I don't care for the ending.

I'm glad I finished watching it. Although it is still slow, you get to see how their relationship redeveloped from puppy love to true love. No matter the distance and the time, the love is there. They are cute together during happier times. Not too sure if I cared for Yi Mei's character. Simply put it...get over it. Move on with your life... I did like yuan fei and Xiao Xiao's relationship before it became a relationship.
Some parts of the show didn't come to an end..like the relationship with Tiffany and her mother... the outcome of the ex-husband, and the innocence of her dad. I Know they are not the lead characters, but at least give them a conclusion.
Would I recommend this? Probably not unless you are a fan of both Tiffany and Wallace.

Initially I couldn't stand Zheng Er And I wanted her to die a thousand times. But she portrays such an awesome evil witch. She's so crazy, but you just have to love to hate her.
I rewatched this twice already. I don't like the ending. It makes me feel depressed.
