Let's just remember the good moments!
Ok, so... at the moment it is really hard for me to review this drama. I've just finished it a minute ago and ... what happened?Alright, let's start from the beginning. Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol was just breathtaking in its early episodes, and even though the following episodes may have had some weird plots, I couldn't care less as the show was just so beautiful and as many people have said, it was "a breath of fresh air" (which clearly is more than welcomed during this special year that is 2020).
From the characters to the importance of music, every episodes felt so short and I was really attached to our two main leads, Jun's character (our male lead) being so touching and beautifully naive, Ra Ra's character (our female lead) being this lovable and strong-minded woman.
However, something changed during episode 14. I don't want to write any spoilers so I'll just say that Jun did something so out of character that it felt wrong. From then on, I kept feeling that this character was not the one I knew and I still can't understand why the writer did this (I have watched Shopping King Louie and loved it, but I do remember her fancying "pranks" - she clearly should have changed that).
So I decided to only think of episodes 1 to 13 as Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and I would definitely recommend these episodes to anyone looking for something warm and touching to watch. Btw I'll probably rewatch these episodes very soon just to forget the last episode...

To be honest, there was potential at first ...... and then nothing happened.
To sum up my opinion in a few points:
- Flat characters
- Relationships happening out of nowhere, because why should we spend time on building real links between characters?
- No real suspense, as viewers we often understand things way before the characters do, and really, that takes them an awful lot of time.
I love most of these actors but unfortunatly their characters are so bland that they can't do any magic here.
As for the aesthetic, it is really enjoyable and pleasing to the eyes... but that's all this drama is about: nice visuals.

Revenge is a dish best served cold
Thrilling!I usually am not a fan of "overrated" dramas (Descendants of the sun was a torture to watch), but this time I am on board. The mix of comedy and dark revenge is so fresh and so welcome in dramaland!
I had to subtract 0.5 point due to the finale episode which could have been SO MUCH BETTER (spoilers ahead):
- The smart and bold FL just disappeared due to an aching shoulder;
- The well-developed character that was Jang Han Seo left us in a disappointing way (don't get me wrong, I cried like a baby, but I couldn't stop thinking to myself that I couldn't care less about Hong Cha Young's boo boo seeing that boy alone...).
- Vincenzo's stupid behaviour during that whole "Hong Cha Young has been captured" scene.
Overall, the cinematography is very impressive, the ost and bgm go so well with the scenes, the acting is pretty much flawless, the story is (most of the time) quite nice with a lot of details on the revenge plots.
Of course there are some issues with this drama, mostly in the last 2-4 episodes, but to be fair I don't want to judge this drama on these. It managed to make me happy every Sunday evening, and gosh, that's not an easy thing to do. So thank you!
