Honestly, this was one of my most anticipated shows after the KNetflix 2023 lineup was announced and it did not disappoint me. There was barely any slow moment in the show and every episode leaves you hooked. The intensity of the plot and characters just have you on the edge of your seat to know what happens next.
Ari is such a well-written and admirable character that makes you want to root for her in any way. Through her eyes, the ugly world of social media, influencers, and the the trajectory of these influencer's hunger for fame and luxury items were unraveled. I also love how Sihyeon's character was written. In almost every KDrama I've watched the ex-girlfriend is usually pretty jealous, but Sihyeon oozes so much class that you can't help but love her. The influencers on this show were evil fr and it honestly goes to show how much these influencers/celebrities we love would go to keep their fame and fake lives. Not a single one of them was likable in my opinion. It's disturbing how the internet can be and how we can lash out at people we barely know based on what we read, hear, and see. I loved the way the writers broke it down. There's so much this drama was trying to convey.....the shallow-mindedness of measuring one's worth and even happiness according to the brands one carries. The entire plot leaves the audience with so much to reflect. The desire to be part of the high society living, to be in the who's who on social media, to be somebody....makes me wonder if that's all there is to live in this modern world.
The downside of this show was that the ending was a bit rushed and some things not being explained clearly but if it's cause the show was centered on how Ari went from being a door-to-door seller to an E-celeb, nevertheless, it was still had an unsatisfactorily ending. But regardless, this show is solid, and as usual Studio Dragon never disappoints.
