Before starting the review, it is important to remember that I never saw the original version, so I can't compare one drama with another. What I can say is that I absolutely loved this drama and that I intend to see the 2004 version and re-watch my newest favorite lakorn. One of the facts that pleased me the most is how strong, decisive and responsive the protagonist is when she treats her badly, not accepting to be stepped on, or that he says that his dream of becoming a screenwriter will not become reality, Mike's character is not left behind I also really liked his development, except for some parts where he was extremely childish and stupid, ending up breaking the protagonist's notebook TWICE, but I only liked it because he really apologized and bought another one, different from other dramas I've seen, you can see that he really regrets it.
Another thing is also how the protagonists had a good development in their friendship before leaving directly for the romance, the two main actors helped a lot with their performances, because you could see the chemistry between the two and honestly it is very cute to see him calling her shorty, but not that thing that was really done to offend.
Another thing that I loved so much was the secondary characters, as there is no bad villain who wants to end the protagonists' romance, certain that in some parts the girl (I forgot her name, sorry) ended up irritating me in some moments, but it's normal, nobody is perfect. I also really liked P´Guy, Grandma and even her sister and her boyfriend, except for some problems.
As for the negative aspects, it was like the plot of Oam Am and her sister was simply developed and quickly forgotten, your own sister deceived you, sent you to another place without money, sold the house that was from your father and just disappears, no answering the calls, but when she shows up to help you just simple forgive and forget? I understand that the protagonist no longer has any family member to rely on, only her sister, but even so what she did was of a very low and wrong level. The other thing is that they also did not develop the protagonist's plot about his sister who died of cancer and because he blames his own father in this regard, they will only explain in the end practically and it was all very fast. Apart from these and some other facts, the drama was very good and very fun to watch.

When the opposites do not attract
I watched this drama in 2014, i was 12 years old so my definition of what it was romantic, what was not were really strange. Now rewatching this drama with 18 years old i can really see the problems and how toxic it is this relationship beteween the two characters. The girl doesn"t have choices of her own, she depends of this guy that she is attracted for about 4 years, and to actually have a function brain, she constantly needs stalk him everywhere he goes and do things she doesn"t wanna do...Wtf is the point of this??? The guy constant say how dumb, stupid, ugly and obssesive you are, just why you keep fucking trying????!!!!!
Not only the girl, but the main guy is also a big jerk, who thinks he is better than everyone else just because he's smart and handsome....Congratulations you have a brain, now use it to have empathy with others.
I only recommend this drama, if you already watched when you were younger and dummy like myself, you can see how much the things changes.

A Kotoko worse than the Korean version
I started watching this drama a few years ago, right after I finished the Korean and Japanese versions and ended up abandoning it halfway through the first episode, uncomfortable with how much the protagonist couldn't stop screaming even with the person in front of her. Anyway, I wanted to give this version one more chance and I finally managed to finish and I must say it was a great effort, I felt like running a marathon, I was so tired, that i just wanted to ended as soon as possible. There were several points that bothered me, I'll mention some of them:-- The protagonist manages to be more boring than in the Korean version, it seems they took all the traits that were supposed to make Kotoko a silly, idiot protagonist and just made her really unbearable to put up with. Like I've already said, but she would start screaming out of nowhere, for everything, even if the person was in front of her, do you think we have hearing problems?
-- The actor who played Irie wasn't so bad, I think he played the role he was given as well as in his other versions, and I agree with some of the posts I read here, I didn't feel bad at all when he treated Kotoko like garbage, honestly she deserved a lot and not because she ran after Irie like a puppy, because honestly I'm already used to the fact that this drama and manga were made in the 90's and this thing about the protagonist being a "bad boy" was still a thing.
-- Another problem was the ending, it seems like that the producers realized that they only had one episode to finish everything and they did everything very fast and rushed, honestly I didn't feel any change in the protagonists, mainly in Irie's feelings to simply make him leave in a hurry behind Kotoko, like, hi?! You were away from the girl for two years and simply found out because of something your mother said that you are in love with Kotoko, it doesn't make any sense, I felt lost, as if I had skipped several episodes and simply went straight to the end. He had more chemistry with the other girl, than with Kotoko herself.
--The other characters didn't make much difference, whether they were in the scene or not, it didn't make any difference to me, like Kotoko's best friends and Kin chan, the other versions did a good job. exploring better these characters, I think they paid more attention to the A and F class teachers than to the rest of the people.
-- The soundtrack was... yeah, whatever, it was nice as far as possible.
Overall, it was torture to watch and I doubt I'll watch it again unless I want to watch again every possible version of Itazura na Kiss. Sorry for some mistakes, english is not my first language.

Sundae Soup :3
(English is not my first language, sorry if i made some mistakes.)I started watching this drama because of Ok Taec-yeon, his acting was wonderful in Vincenzo and now I want to see everything this man does, no matter what it is. It's amazing how his personality changed from character to character, proving he's an amazing actor.
Overall I really liked it, it's ideal for those looking for something light, cute and to pass the time. Don't think that just because the site says that have terror that it's going to be something like The Conjuring that has jump scares every five seconds, the ghosts I would say that are very cute, and it also gave me a ghostbusters vibe.
The main couple was also very cute to see, always good to see healthy couples in dramas, where the males leads are not completely abusive and the girls submissive (I'm looking at you Playfull Kiss). The other couple, who is actually a bromance, was also very fun to watch, they did so many funny things and even more funny because they do it together.
Anyway, let's talk about some points that bothered me, thankfully there weren't many:
- It made me nervous when that monk went to investigate on his own, discovered something, such as that the villain in the story was chasing Bong Pal and his father for a long time (5 years if I'm not mistaken) and HE DIDN'T EVEN WENT TO TALK HIS DISCOVERS TO BONG PAL, or, even tell about the weapon that could destroy the damn evil spirit.
- In my opinion the drama didn't need to have 16 episodes, I had the feeling that after a while they were dragging certain things, nothing that wasn't bearable.
- The OST was more or less, nothing very memorable.
