A divine man
Yin Xue can be defined as a divine man. His charm and good humor make it all the more amazing. Vic Chou fit this character perfectly. In addition to the main story, there's a lot going on. The side stories are good too. Talking about Yin Xue again, his acting made this drama one of my favorites. He manages to be serious when necessary, without losing his humorous tone. His restrained smile is satisfying. He is a shrewd and very powerful man, uncorrupted and deeply in love. I highly recommend this drama.
One of my favorite scenes is when he watches Le Ruge in another man's arms and the demonic power tries to overwhelm him through jealousy. His performance at that time was splendid.
I feel like they could have explored more special effects in fights. But, that's not a problem. The story is wonderful in every detail.
Yin Xue gives Le Ruge the space she needs. He is not afraid to show his love and makes his own plans to avoid another tragic end. I missed more scenes of the couple, but the love between them is clear. Vic Chou is perfect in his acting. As for Dilraba, I sometimes thought she was too childish. Can't say she suited him. I love this drama basically because of Yin Xue. The way the character demonstrates his emotions goes beyond the harsh stereotype.
I think producers could explore more the strength of Yin Xue. As a mighty immortal, I think we've seen little of his power. But overall I liked it a lot.
Zhan Feng's uprising and the way he was deceived was kind of sudden. But, it fulfilled its role in the script. The villain bothered me a little. I found Anye Luo very exaggerated. That hair definitely didn't suit him.
But, the actor played an excellent role.
