Both are beautiful, romantic, slow-paced melodramas that are centered around two leads connected by a fateful tragic incident. In both the characters deal with trauma, pain and scars of the past and overcoming them by finding comfort in each other. Both dramas also have some thriller elements to them and the FL being a famous actress.

Differences: FMIYM has some romcom elements to it at the beginning and feels a bit lighter, while CAHM feels like a heavier watch overall. Latter also leans more towards the crime/investigation side.

Both dramas:

> depict a complicated love line which makes you question if the characters love each other.
> generally have a dark atmosphere with almost no light-hearted moments.
> have a female lead that is being undecided on her feelings about the ML.
> feature morally ambiguous characters, no black/white.
> depict a female lead that strives for wealth and being in an upper social class, while questioning if wealth necessarily equal happiness.
> question the definiton of love and happiness in general.
> focus on the ugly, twisted and dark side of people.
> end in a twisted, controversial way.
>are made for open-minded watchers.

It may seem like an unusual recommendation since Misty is heavily on the thriller/suspense side but if you put that away you'll see that the main focus is the complicated relationship of the OTP which strongly reminded me of WHIB throughout the whole series.

Both historical dramas have...
> characters participating in political battles against the current regime/government.
> a group of people wanting to change their country partly to help people out of their poverty.
> characters entering the path of darkness to gain more power for themselves and their families.
> traditional Korean OST.
> lots of action/battles etc.
> romantic relationships, which sometimes get in the way of/or even fuel the characters ambitions.
> amazing quotes about politics, philosophy, war etc.
> the same director, also many of the same supporting actors.

If you loved one, you're up for an exciting ride with the other!

Both are epic sageuk dramas about the life of a historic/legendary hero from Joseon dynasty. If you loved Yoon Kyun Sang in SFD Rebel is the drama you need!

Both are centered around a legendary masked heroic thief, who fights the rich and helps the poor. They are driven by revenge and a distinct sense of justice. They also have exceptionally good fighting skills. Also both involve an interesting father/son relationship as well as romance (Rebel has better romance than Iljimae imo).

However, I'd dare to say that Iljimae is a lighter watch than Rebel. Latter is more complex and involves more characters.

> both are dramas centered around revenge
> rich/poor issues between two families
> "forbidden" kind of relationships/love
> serious, more mature romance scenes, not just wall-kissing
> a lot of secrets waiting to be discovered
> tragic scenes
> both have YJH as co-leading actor

One difference is that EoE relies a lot on action/business while Mask is more drama/romance oriented.
