My first ever on-air show

~||~ Things I hated:

- The character description of psychopath and sociopath.
Psychopathic description was somewhat fine but sociopathy...oh boy...
Being a sociopath Do Hyun Soo was dumb and rather helpless in most of the situation. His plans were never meticulous enough and would always have a hole in them.
Sociopaths can be calculative and know how to manipulate for their need too.
Sociopaths are able to feel some emotions. They are not completely emotionless (as the character himself stated so many times).
ML failed to be the right kind of sociopath.
\\
- So you are telling me the real psychopath Baek Hee Sung woke up literally after 15+ years of vegetative state and within a week or so he was active enough to not only plan meticulously but kill people??? Wow.
Maybe he was on a really good medication because I took two whole days to recover just from severe dehydration. Lol. Let me know.

That's all.

~||~ Things I loved:

- Sibling goal {Do Hae Soo + Do Hyun Soo} ✌?
//
- The female lead Cha Ji Won was on point though. Perfect amount of boldness, dash of emotions and packed with strength. Perfect.
//
- Reporter Kim, a type of friend we don't want but we need.
"A friend in need is a friend indeed"
//
- The head of Team 3 Detective Lee Woo Chul, portrayed a good leader. Equally caring, admirable and strict.
//
- Tbh I kinda shipped (you know like imaginary second lead syndrome) the female lead with detective Choi Jae Sup.... I'm sorry not sorry.... Their chemistry was worth noticing too.
//
- The ending (episode 16) seemed kinda unnecessary but still it was a happy one so I won't judge it too hard.

That's all.

Take care. Stay safe.

Heaven for Book Lovers

My motto after watching this movie: Grow my book collection until my last breathe and then convert it into a public library. (Yes..!)

The moment you thought...you would sit down and enjoy this movie..you went wrong.

This movie won't let you peacefully enjoy its story, rather torment you and play with your heart and mind with its tear-jerking plot.

I won't lie... My heart literally ached. If you are one of those emo people then you would definitely cry over this movie.

As mentioned above... This movie is very much appropriate for any form of Book lover out there (including me)...
I'm totally convinced that... Japanese 'romance' genres have an aesthetic of their own. Your mind will feel happy to enjoy the earthy/grounded feeling these type of movies provide.
And I am also convinced that...no other country's movies/series can make you feel comfortable with 'Taboo' topics as Japan.
Thank you for that.

this drama became my cure for k-drama slump/ Perfect Villain

Things I liked:
//
1. The Villain... No matter what others say I absolutely love a good antagonist in a drama. After all, an antagonist is what builds/makes a hero 'a hero' or else the hero would have been a mere common man.
The representation of the villain in this drama was very on point. I absolutely 'adored' the character and the motive the character had was relatable enough (just sayin).
A good villain can actually drive the story and that's what happened in this story.
/
2. The way this drama portrayed the 'reality' of the politics/politicians. (I hate politics/politicians in real life)
/
3. Right amount (maybe a little too much but...) of gas lighting (verb. manipulate (someone) by psychological means into doubting their own sanity) when and where ever necessary felt right.
/
4. Muuuaaaahhh... Fighting scenes
---------
Things I hated:
//
1. The romance part... I would say the romance element in this drama ruined the beauty and rawness of this drama.
/
2. Destined lovers from childhood cliche... (Just whyyyyyy?) They could have worked much better as professional partners though.
/
3. The weird circumstance under which they fell in love. (like...wtf!)
/
4. The ending... it demanded to be more thrilling and a bit more...spicy?

Watched it cause of Kim Jae Wook

First of all... I started watching it because of Kim Jae Wook but ended up liking the series.

But...

What the hell was the ending...?
Maybe it was the 'karma'

He was not doing it with a sane mind then why he met with such a fate.
I know he killed and stuff..but he was sick.
I understand not all psychopaths are killers, some even try to live a life but he chose different cause of his father. Then why?
Isolation could have done the job but why such fate.

- Now on to the reality -

Every single cast were on point. Not a single complain (expect for the ending).
Kim Jae Wook.. gives his everything for any role he plays and that's why he is my favourite and forever will be.

Must watch.

A satisfying watch

Unlike most short dramas that feel 'too short' ...this drama was actually able to give me the satisfaction, which I always expect from most short dramas.
This drama felt complete. (I won't mind a sequel though...)

The character development was so on point I believe. The character from whom I expected the outmost maturity, cheated on me.... nevermind...but one thing I learned from this drama: those innocent child like people feel way more than those of the mature kind. So...

It was such a beautiful... heartbreaking....heartfixing....love story.

A worthy..binge watch.

A perfect way to end your weekend...

You will love the PLOT TWIST...

A MUST WATCH. Thank your stars later.
...
Episode- 1 through 7 was mind blowing. I lived for the thrill in every single episode.
Episode - 8 and 9 were kinda difficult for me to watch...kinda boring in my opinion but contained important details related to the conclusion.
Episode 10 and 11 - My favorite... almost made me cry.
...
One can totally show sympathy towards the character of Oh Goo Tak (Kim Sang Joong)
...
My personal favorite... Lee Jung Moon (Park Hae Jin) .. One one line for him: "Once a psychopath is not always a psychopath."
He made me cry and fall for him too.
...
Jung Tae Soo (Jo Dong Hyuk) such a romantic killer he was. Enjoyed watching his character development too.
...
For some reasons I could not connect well with Park Woong Cheol (Ma Dong Seok). I don't know why. Maybe I missed something.
...
Maybe some emotional fool (no offence. Sorry) would love her character but... Yoo Mi Young (Kang Ye Won) aka the female officer. But for me she was stupid af (Once again sorry)
But I also think that every action thriller has one such stupid character. Isn't it? (sorry)
...
The post twister... uff... in love with that character. One could actually know (catch) that person from very beginning if one would completely submerge him/herself in the drama.
...
Thank you, Maaya

It was such a beautiful story. I had been putting it off for so long but today I was finally able to watch it and wholesomely enjoyed it.
In my opinion, this story has the potential to make you reflect upon your inner self and make you feel your inner goodness.
In my lifetime, I have came across a couple of specially-abled people and to my utter pleasure I am also able to help one.
The moment we think that the God is unjust in their case, we should hang on a minute and actually try to understand them. That's when we'll realize that when the God took away something from them, he also provides then with other special abilities. That thing was beautifully highlighted in this movie.

The cast for the girl portrayed the character really well. I was really impressed.
But to be honest, the 'mystery' story could have been a little better (just a little bit) but it's fine as I think the production team wanted to highlight the life of the main female protagonist and people like her.

In short, A MUST WATCH.

Kinda unfair representation of sexuality and polyamory (IN MY OPINION)

A MUST WATCH. NOT FOR ROMANCE BUT FOR THE THRILL.
~
First things first...towards the end of episode 9 and the entire episode 10, the decision the director took to dress Shin the way be he did...chef's kiss. Thank you so much for that.
~
Ok...now the most important thing according to 'ME'.
-.This series neither represented the BISEXUALITY nor the POLYAMORY properly. The way those two were depicted, kinda made it look bad because in real life that's not how bisexuality (or polyamory) works (I'm Bi myself).
-> FYI bisexual people don't love both the gender at the same time.
-> Tbh...I realized how they (series maker) played with the sexuality spectrum to show the audience the 'diversity' of love.
->Fine I understand the 'polyamory' situation but it doesn't involve having threesomes. I don't think people who practice polyamory do threesome (or keep simultaneous physical relationship with their partners) even though they exhibit the desire to have intimate relationship with multiple people.
BUT as the "love" represented by the characters were 'consensual'...I'll accept it.
(IN SHORT, A VERY MESSY/KINDA POOR REPRESENTATION OF SEXUALITY.)

The entire situation didn't just felt right for Shin (poor thing).
He (played) was just an innocent bunny who fell for a guy but...nobody actually truly loved him you see neither the guy (even though he said so) nor the girl (as he was gay to begin with so...)
He genuinely fell for Neo but in the end Neo chose (I personally felt) Miw (you too will get the feeling in the end) even though it was not portrayed.
I felt sad for him throughout the entire series.
~
But the thrill in this series was on point.

- First thing first... the Bonnie and Clyde vibe got me entirely hooked up. PERFECT...
- The theme song became my ringtone and alarm too. <3
+ + +
- Episode 1 & 2 was perfect according to me, to build up the adrenaline rush among the viewers. These two episodes made me realize that I am way too punctual and responsible to live a life like them but thb Oh Jisoo inspired me a lot to............ study... :-)
- Episode 3 through 7-8 ... it was meeehhh for me.
- Episode 9 gave me all the gore that I wanted and expected (I expected a lot more thought). And also gave me a good laugh and fair share of pain too.
- Episode 10 ... the BEST. In short, perfectly satisfied with the ending.
+ + +
- I adored the 'Grandfather'. He was my fave. Both in action and mystery department.
- Loathed Minhee. She was too weak, cute and annoying for her own good.
- Wanted to beautifully punch the 'smiling b*tch'
+ + +
I think that's all... But trust me YOU MUST WATCH THIS DRAMA.
And in the future I wish to get a partner like either Oh Jisoo or Bae Gyuri.

Thank you,
Maaya
