An interesting drama you should give a try!

First of all, this drama does not deserve a low rating. It’s not a romantic drama nor an action one but it is one that talks about daily life and its struggle which make me love it even more. When I first heard of this, I was extremely excited due to the fact that I was able to enjoy Lee Yo Won twice this year with Different dreams and The Running mates so, I was so ready for this drama to be aired. But I have to be honest, judging from the previews, I really thought this drama will be a satire, guess I was wrong. It is more a slow-paced drama that allows you to understand several troubles the human being is under such as: child abuse, dismissal, dysfunctional families, discrimination and murder.

Story: The plot could be not that surprising but once you are into the drama you get to enjoy it very much. Our female lead is an investigator for the Human rights Commision. That being said, she is not allowed to do more than that, just investigate if the human rights were violated or not. Due to this, our team gets frustrated most of the times, in particular, our male lead who used to be a prosecutor but he was dismissed as a result of his bad behaviour. These two get together alongside other three in order to help the people whose human rights were not taken into account.
On one hand, this plot is good enough to catch your attention and I must say that is worth it. It is not a masterpiece, moreover, I do think it had many flaws in the script execution but it is not something we cannot forgive, clichés for instance. On the other hand, I enjoyed every single episode, even though the cases were not that interesting but I somehow managed myself to see those little details our characters gave us about their personalities. In addition, there were too many things I would have liked to watch more, for example, on the episode where our characters dressed like bank robbers. You cannot imagine my reaction when I first saw that episode’s previews and later when I watched the episode, I was absolutely devastated finding out it was just for an example of a situation I don’t remember right now what it was. Likewise, the one when they were wearing the military uniform. But again, they are not things we cannot forgive.

Acting/cast: As you already know, I am here just because of my beloved Yo Won eonnie and I am absolutely satisfied. Her voice and face expressions are more than enough to me. Her character is mysterious hence, not a talkative person and that is something I really liked. Since the first episode, the writer hinted us she carried an emotional struggle and that was one of the main reasons I stayed on tune every week. I would have liked to watch more of this rather than the situational cases every two episodes. Also, we did not have the opportunity to see more of our male lead which made me feel really disappointed. On the other hand, I felt like the other characters were completely useless. Practically, they did not add anything to the plot. Additionally, I enjoyed the scenes where our leads were together and supported each other even just for tiny things in their lives. That scene where they went together for a meal was so precious to me.

Music/OST: To be honest, it is rare that we find this type of music in a Korean drama so, my feelings of respect, I absolutely loved it! Furthermore, the original soundtrack is more than pleasant to listen to. I even have the songs on my mobile.

Rewatch value: I will definitely come back to watch some scenes I enjoyed. Perhaps, in a couple of years when I forget everything about the plot.

Final verdict: I really like OCN dramas and this one has the things I usually like to watch. Not romantic but daily life situations I can relate to, easily. If you enjoy slice of life dramas, this is the one for you, because it adds a bit of action, comedy and thriller. Please, give it a chance, it is not a boring drama. If you see carefully, you will find great things in it.

Cheers,
Mabe
