I ll start by saying this is a unique storyline to me and i found it captivating so i sat through the 16 episodes straight in one day. so its really a slice of life interesting drama.....with that being said i'll dive into an emotional rant of all the characters..... yes all of them in this drama were scum to varying degrees..... the lowest degree of scumness was dr kim and the highest degree of scumness was Lee tae oh...... as a matter of fact there is low, lower, Lee Tae Oh..... you get the point lol.

1) Sun Woo- so in the first few episodes i could feel her pain, she had a perfect life and all of a sudden she realised her husband was cheating on her and stealing from her and her 'Friends' were in on it too........ i was pissed along with her raining curses of Lee Tae Oh. i was also proud of her strategy to divorce him without him knowing.... i was proud of her ability to stand up for herself every time.... then in much later episodes i began to doubt her aim of doing all she was doing, she literally lost it in my opinion because so many of her actions were so questionable to me. using her son as a bait too was low of her (although it was smart) but the boy didn't deserve to think his father was abusive to the mother just like that. The boy also deserved to see the father so that whole act in their welcome party was another low! and her betraying the bartender girl in order to protect herself and her love hate relationship was low! also its important to not that she was too stuck up on her work, too overconfident in thinking she knew her soon and had everything in control.... phewww she could have avoided a lot of things by moving out and starting afresh but i feel she was stuck up on proving points and never really got over her ex husband.

2)Tae oh---- deserves a whole rant epistle but in short he was just an entitled cheat who felt he should be forgiven for keeping a mistress ( who got pregnant) for two years while he had a wife and son.....whats worse.... he was stealing from his sons policy funds to take care of the mistress like really...! After the whole divorce he married his mistress and comes back rich and successful (or kinda not) and starts stalking and threatening his ex wife and trying to get her fired, trying to buy his son back.... girls this is the kind of man you really dont want to marry PERIODT!

7)sun woo's son----- while i feel bad for his situation which isnt his fault, he was a whole mess.... a spoilt brat literally! i mean his classmate's mum was also divorced but she still lived right. why he decided to use his dysfunctional parents as a reason to do clownery i will never understand. also i felt he was more forgiving of his father than his mother.... he was way to mean to her!

3)All the family friends---- how do you go on a vacation with you friends and one of you comes with a lady who isnt his wife..... and you do not tell the wife, as a matter of fact you help him deceive the wife (like what.... off with their heads lol) and let me not get started on seol myung the double spy..... i was happy Hyo jung got redemption at some point because she was the only one in their circle who had a bit of sense even though her husband holds the 3rd position on the scum list. i mean he was married but the whole time he was sleeping around and trying to woo his own friend's wife chile....

4)Mistress----- this clown was just so naive and stupid, a man leaves his family for you and somehow you think you acting right and being a supportive wife will make you better than his old wife and stop him from cheating on you like he did to his old wife ......... i mean people change but once a cheat, always a cheat i guess! the fact she was trying to buy everybody's love and loyalty in the city and make sun woo look like a bad person was low!

5)mistress father---- typical rich powerful man in kdramas that has power to do many things mostly bad things. him and his wife were too stuck up on themselves to correct their child for taking someones husband. they instead ran a campaign to get her support from the community with their money....

6) community peeps----- this ppl will just kiss a** of any influential person and gossip for a living...... i cant.....

the only somewhat decent people in this drama were min hyun (bartender girl), chairman choi's wife (woman association leader) , and dr kim..... every other person can be thrown away thanks!

Anyways watch the drama its emotionally investing but its captivating and interesting. And i hope they scoop a lot of awards because the acting was 100%

Amazing drama with weak ending

Well this drama took me by a pleasant surprise, i kind of knew what to expect from the reviews but you never really know till you try for yourself so here is my take on the drama.

This drama reminds me a lot of healer with a more serious tone and without the romance tag (ps i dont know why they don't really make dramas like that anymore). i really loved the plot twists, i loved that the characters were smart at least till the final 4 episodes.... (i hate when drama detectives, police etc do clown shit that isn't even logical to viewers). in the final 4 episodes everybody's IQ reduced by at least 70!

kudos to the psychopath, chile.... he nailed his role so much i think i hate the actor now. the ML was such a cute bad ass two faced dude. the FL was too much sometimes and over zealous, apart from that she was badass too. The hacker guy and video girl were smart and cool, video girl had two episodes of clownery but aside that she was pretty smart , consistent and mostly the voice of reason in the group. The priest...... just wow such an eye candy, i remember him from dr romantic 2.... the lead police lady was really cool until the last few episodes , loved her sarcasm. Her daughter on the other hand was dumb from start to finish.... i really wished for the worse for her.... anyways the prosecutor that loved the female lead was annoying at first trying to overdo himself but in later episodes i really liked him and all his decisions.

The reason i think this drama didn't get the hype and love it deserves is because of the final 4 episodes! apart from the sudden reduction in IQ levels, there was absolutely no closure on the characters, both the villans and the hero.... now i wasn't expecting a full blown happy ending where everything worked out, evil guys die and good guys live BUT the final episode especially was filled with a whole bunch of nothing instead of giving details as to what happened to the main characters... it was just too sloppy and very different from the initial strong episodes.

This is the second I ever watch. The first was bpoop-phaeh-saniwaat which I liked surprising although it was different auora from the Korean and Chinese dramas I was used to. Now about hua jai sila, the story had a lot of potential (I always like revenge dramas) and sila’s revenge was well played out and impressive BUT I wish the female lead was scraped entirely from the drama. You might want to skip all her scenes up until episode16.... as a mater of fact skip her scenes until episode 26 ( there chemistry was good at the end). I almost dropped this drama because of her character’s lack of development and logic! Skipping was the only way! Also the weird sound effects in the background put me off at the beginning but I guess I got used to it.
Summary of what i like
*MAM!MAM!MAM! I really love her character and how bad ass she was taking out those men in her dress. She was no damsel in distress and I wish more female characters were like her.
* sida’s acting was spot on
*Tor/sila his revenge was well played out. I liked how smart he is and how handsome / sexy he is.
*sila’s employees loyalty to him was bomb. All the ladies and the guards too
* the chemistry of the leads was good in the later episodes. I love their cute lil dance in the last episode.

Summary of things I hate
* Female leads character was such a waste. She is really pretty but for the first 16 episodes she only made this drama worse trying to prove ****.repeating a cycle of cat chase and fight with the male lead. I waited for her redemption, character development, anything that could make me like her but not one reasonable decision was made by her till the last episode.
*some scenes were dragged out so much, I would skip 20 secs and still be at the same scene of tor staring or something lol
*the prostitution part was not cool to me because of my morals
*overacting of many characters

In conclusion watch it but the skip button will be your friend.

WATCH THIS!!!!

wow.... the first 4 episodes i was thinking maybe to drop this because it seemed like it was going to be repetitive and boring (i was thinking do i have to watch them relieve this day for the whole 15 episodes ), BUT i got hooked from the 5th episode and i am glad i stayed. This drama is so wholesome and everyone's story is touching and important. The police was smart and professional, no unnecessary dumbness to have a plot (very common in asian dramas where smart characters suddenly do dumb stuff lol). The acting was daebak!!! really one of the best i have seen in a chinese drama and there were no unnecessary scenes. totally recommend! epecially if you like time travel story lines

Do you feel kdramas have been below your expectations recently, like they have been boring or are trying too hard to bring up innovative stories and leaving out the cliches we really love, if you love romance-comedy or action romance. If you are Looking for a weIl made drama (cinematography, music, plot, suspense, directing), if you like watching good looking actors/actresses with chemistry above the roof, if you like a boss strong female lead (tired of the damsel in distress syndrome), WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!! binged watch this drama in 16 hours lol and I didn’t get a bored. This drama has filled a void that Korean dramas have left open since “healer” (IMO). Like they tried but they just could not get the action-comedy-romance combined right! And the storyline is so fresh (reminds me of “kings to heart” and “descendants of the sun”) but it gives very different vibes and it’s very comedic. You are either smiling ear to ear, laughing out loud or crying (like real tears). All of the characters are very lovable (except the major villain and se ri’s second brother and his wife). This drama also spiked up my curiosity about North Korea a lot. I loved the little village and their togetherness so cute! They had me praying for unification so they could enjoy some South Korean stuffs without leaving their home that they love. My favorite character is Se Ri (she reminds me a lot of the FL from graceful family. But way cuter and pure comedic) in other words she is a clown. Most of the things she did were so relatable like trying to rebuff when someone downplays her looks or anything. She has all of us and the male lead thinking she was bipolar lol but I cannot think of any other person that would have played this role this well (without being cringe) . My next favourite is Ri jung he is like a very smart puppy who happens to be a captain lol. I was so happy they were both smart. There were no unnecessary kidnapping, meeting anyone alone, falling into enemies traps because of DUMBNESS(God bless the writers for this because I really be wanting to punch my screen in some dramas). I also noticed all the moms in this drama were amaze balls ( even though seo dan’s mum was over the top) they all wanted to support their kids no matter what. Finally the soldier team was really comedic relief (especially when they went to the south) lol. But their relationship was gold and I cried at their separation. ...... please watch this drama.... you are in for a ride......... From a kdrama fan who veered off to the Chinese drama world because kdramas got boring to me... nice to see they are back!

dont believe the reviews this drama is really good and very much worth watching

The negative comments made me want to put off watching this drama but i decided to take a bold step and wowwwwwwww!!!!!! did we all watch the same drama! this drama is great (not perfect of course). it has a different refreshing story and i was glued to the screen especially from somewhere in the middle. the cinematography is great and everything is just so beautiful. ps don't come looking for a full blown romance i guess thats why people might be disappointed because the romance feels disconnected sometimes. The mystery about the time travel, doppelganger, the suspense, crime, the plot twists..... are the main selling points of this drama for me. sometimes i was confused like what is going on lol but in the end it all makes sense. so bottom line.... try it out for yourself, dont have your expectations too high, hang in through the confusion from the beginning till about episode 7 and episode 14 lol and you will really enjoy this.
my questions though
1) was i the only one curious about na ri like how was she rich with all those cool cars lol?
2) they really should have helped us understand how the kings great grandfather did his travel movement in order to get the head court grandma to corea?
3) did they conclude that the yoyo boy was a god or was he just stuck in the time lines?
4)what was the whole situation with the prime minister koo... her arc was weird and useless to be honest. when her momma couldnt remember what she ate what happened to her next?
5)they really should have scrapped some romance scenes and given the time travel arc more screen tie
6)eun sop and na ri deserved better in terms of their romance development

Treat yourself to this sweet cheese cake

so kdramas have taken a turn in recent years to more complex storylines (horror, dark, infidelity, etc) i started to miss the cliche romance, "rich guy poor girl", and "contract marriage" type of dramas. so i was really happy to try this this drama because i haven't seen a drama with this storyline in a while.

This is sweet but not cringe, the arcs aren't dragged out and there aren't many unnecessary scenes. you might need to hang on till episode 3 to get hooked but it will be such a beautiful ride. There are so many funny scenes (not cringe funny). and you will fall in love with all the characters really.

So in summary, it is not a revolutionary storyline, very predictable but done really nice with great acting . if you have missed the rich guy poor girl or contract marriage dramas, you will love this. they need to make light dramas like this once in a while the complex and dark dramas can get tiring. still hoping they will make more action romance dramas like healer

Really enjoyable

If you are able to withstand the initial. Cringe from the first few episodes you will really enjoy this drama... the male lead was surreal, the child actress was super, the ml family was so cute and understanding.... only thing that was lacking was the motive of the ex husbands mum...... why did she hate the female lead so much to want to ruin her life that part of the plot was mediocre and also the punishments dished at the end didn’t really satisfy my spirit. But this was a good binge watch for me.

This is one of the few good dramas released this year. i really enjoyed watching it and the acting was badass. i was grateful to the directors for giving us a strong female lead and prayed she didnt become a weakling as the drama progressed and they didnt disappoint. we need more strong female characters! i find it interesting that there is no comedy tag because there is a lot of humour in this drama (picasso funeral will be in all all time dope scenes). the male lead is such a good guy and the role was perfect for him. i will look out for his other dramas. ms han wow, she was evil but i couldnt hate her because she was badass and knew her stuff. there is one thing i didnt understand though, her fondness to the male lead. he was obviously a walking time bomb to them because of his relationship with the female lead and his kind hearted values so i dont really understand why she let him work at top.i loved all of the plot twist except wan soo. his story made me cry and i feel like it should have been everyone but him. this drama has a lot of similarities with the k2 and sky castle. i highly recommend it.

nice drama

This drama started off really nice and got me hooked from the beginning episodes... the middle was okay and the ending part was awesome, the episodes of misunderstandings felt too long and the male lead sacrificing himself every time was somewhat exhausting but i really liked the drama... although i did skip a lot (i always do with very long dramas), i didn't skip as much as i usually do. many of the characters here are likable. female lead is one of the most bearable chinese dramas have given us in a while (she had only a few episodes of stupidity ONLY). Although the villans were annoying, have to admit they were good looking lol..... the ending was satisfying imo everybody got what they deserved.
overall drama quality is up to par with Ten miles of peach blossoms and ashes of love which are my favorites in this genre. the music was lovely as well.

roller coaster of emotions but a must watch!!!!

so i have been dropping a lot of chinese dramas lately, they have just been recycling stories and don't get me wrong, with decent actors and good production it could still stick but must have been disappointing. so i decided to start this drama because of the good reviews and it started ok towards the 4th episode i felt maybe i would have to drop this too but from episode 6 chile i was hooked and finished this drama in one sitting. this is a new storyline that teaches family doesn't just mean related by blood.

*pros*
1. The cute relationships are just pure bliss to watch, with the siblings, i wished i had elder brothers lol. Then there was the DADmance lol so cute. then the girlfriend/roommates very relatable lol.
2. I don't think Li Hai Chao got enough credit but he was too good to be true.... loving these kids unconditionally like his own without holding grudges or expecting anything in return.
3. The feels were real because the actors are daebak! i cried a lot and i laughed a lot too (Li jian jian can be a full blown clown without even knowing lol) kudos to all of the actors
4. The side stories were not mediocre, you know how chinese dramas have side characters and completely ignore them or maybe write some dumb story line for them... this was different. Everyone's story was loud enough for you to remember the characters and feel their joys and pains
5. The kisses yoo!!!! Song Wei Long has got to be my fav korean actor right now.... wheeew!
6. The ending was very satisfying, we thank the drama lords
7. The music omg.... i really love the intro song and i let it play out most times. (i usually skip for chinese dramas because they are so long)

*cons/rant*
1.Chen Ting
2.Chen Ting
3.Chen Ting
4.Chen Ting; Never have i ever encountered a selfish, infact wicked mother like her in any dramas.... omg i want to pull her hair, then she smiles like she is okay but she is really just looking for the next best way to frustrate her poor soon with her entitled a**. What's even worse is she never really got medical help for her mental state! her daughter would have made this list as well but she was just a poor victim in all of this.

ok i'll be honest i picked up this drama because of the cute male lead (omg he is a beautiful man) but i stayed for the story, chemistry, some side characters, the family dynamics A+. imo the drama could have been reduced to 30 episodes or less.... there were a lot of unnecessary things in the middle only for the ending to be rushed in only one episode. i mean the male lead chased her for so many episodes and it takes her one and half episode to get him back o-0. i was hoping at least 3 episodes be dedicated to her suffer a bit trying to get him back because she really was at fault!

arcs i loved
-the male lead and female lead
-the female leads family
-the cheating husband and friend
-the female lead and her twin brother/ 2 friends relationship
-the unwanted pregnancy
-the office lovers
-male leads family
- 2nd male lead and niece

arcs i hated and mostly skipped
-prof and high school student
- high school kids
-manipulating side of 2nd male lead.(it was cute at first then it became annoying)

in other to suppress my frustrations with this drama i ll start with what i liked about it; omg male lead is the most beautiful man ever, like he looks like he came straight out of a disney comic book, some prince charming coming to life. the general was an awesome actor, i hated and loved him at the same time, and emperor Qi a.k.a night lord was exceptional in his approximately 6 scenes lol. the baby emperor was a huge highlight for me and the actor did good. FL was great with her acting, i could appreciate that she was a fighter and smart lead (but was she though o.0). i appreciate that eventually somewhere around the 31st episode, all form of back and forth that is common with the lead couple ended (i mean typical plotting and framing that makes one of the partners believe a lie and separate leaving viewers in a spiral of episodes awaiting their eventual reconciliation). i appreciate the loyalty of the couple to each other in the second half. i appreciate that some of the evil characters were redeemed and we were able to sympathize with most of the characters and that’s it people……..

with all this being said there is something that isn’t right with the story telling and directing that turned a potential awesome story/ drama into a disjointed ride that can only be survived with the help of the skip button (in its defense i binge watch dramas and once they are over 25 episodes i can’t help but skip unnecessary stuff) but the degree of skipping in this drama was really high ’_’ this drama had a lot of potential interesting characters that were absolutely under utilized. emperor Qi for example was a mysterious character and viewers were dying to know his story but we got less than two episodes of an underwhelming reveal of his back story lol at least he got one, Agent wu and wang yu were there the whole time and only got 2 mins explanation of who they were (family killed, wanting revenge, was the lazy excuse of a backstory of all the side characters) , prince Qian yi story line was weird, it couldn’t really connect his motives and his switch from good to bad. The empress fu yuan didn’t even get a full back story to give a better understanding of her mission to revenge. hearing the story from the maid’s narration to the general was mediocre at best considering there were 58 episodes in this drama and one could have been devoted to flashback the story of what happened in the past. the birth story of the FL and why her family was killed wasn’t clear at all. how come the old emperor did that to a woman he loved (ML’s mother); yes we figured it as poison but who did the plotting, why did they do that? all of this could have been explained with a few good episodes of flashbacks. even the book that was the core of the plot at some point turned out to be useless to the story. so you are wandering if all of this didn’t reflect in the drama, then what did lol. the writer spent a 16 strong initial episodes introducing the characters and the mysterious plot then suddenly we are in the cliche love triangle situation which isn’t bad….. until it lasts a whole 15 episodes. the FL was supposed to be smart and strong but the writer couldn’t decide i guess, because sometimes she was strong other times she was a damsel in distress slipping and falling 22 times o_0. her decisions sometimes will have you like WTF !!! there was a lot of time to gradually unravel the mysteries in this show but they decided to dump it all in the last 3 episodes. i went from being curious about the mysteries to just wanting it to end because it dragged in the center and wore me out. they focused on the wrong stories to tell and ignored the plots that would have carried the show.

some skip ideas
*interactions between wu yu/prince chen and everyone literally
*interactions between crown prince and anyone apart from the king, the general and prince li. that dude is useless
*all ya li’s scenes till the second half lol (she had a serious case of hero worship syndrome)
*pricess zhao yun till the last 20 episodes

Romance action my genre

I was able to watch this till the end ( haven’t watch a Chinese drama till the end in months). I am really a fan of romance action genre so I did enjoy this a lot BUT the low budget and production showed. Sometimes the connections were weird and the twist were executed funnily because of the budget.

Also the ml is so handsome but his acting was weird sometimes. Fl wasn’t a push over, really rare but we love to see it. In summary I really loved this and hope they make more storylines like this with high budgets.

Overall a very cute drama

I ll recommend this drama to anyone who wants an easy watch. Little to no misunderstandings! Great acting! Medical story, bomb chemistry with the leads and some other characters and a bit of action. I can see why people will compare this to dots but they are really different.

*what I loved*
1) The chemistry between the leads is honestly unmatched! I barely have seen such chemistry in any modern day Chinese drama. I m talking about CLOY type of chemistry... i was hooked to this drama mainly because of their romance (aside that , there isn’t really much going on). My fav parts were in the beginning before they started to date but were clearly attracted to each other lol they were so cute and clueless on how relationships work. This was my first time watching the ml and he really stole the show for me, he is very natural.

2) kekayo (male leads sister) and the dr shao relationship. Very mysterious at first but interesting to see a more elderly couple’s story. I really like how bad a$$ kekayo is lol and her relationship with her brother is so natural and cute to watch

3) misunderstandings were solved within 2 business days lol.... just kidding! But this drama resolved any misunderstandings real quick. You won’t have to pull ur hair out or anything. (Except the reporter and army guy couple)

*what I didn’t like so much*
1)Mi ka was dumb sometimes and her cluelessness caused a huge problem in the last few episodes. (Illogical writing in that part)
2) I didn’t care for the reporter and police guy. Their relationship was weird and I preferred her with the other guy lol. Skipped most of their parts
3)the story is quite platonic and drags sometimes. Nothing particularly exciting or shocking happened throughout the drama. This isn’t necessarily bad, because it makes the drama easy to watch.
