Tugs at the heart
This starts off as a send up of Boys Over Flowers. There's the poor scholarship girl at a prestigious private school who is bullied. F4 is now A3. There's even a guy who sheds a tear while playing his violin in public spaces. But then the students at Seuli High School start to figure out that they are characters in a graphic novel. A writer controls what they say or do. Most of them are horrified when they learn they aren't even one of the main characters. That's when this parody of K-drama rom-coms turns into a bittersweet reflection on fate, memory, and autonomy.
Extraordinary You made me giggle, and it made me cry, which doesn't happen too often.
