Good drama. SPOILER ALERT: Although is an open ending and the leading lady can be annoying here and there, it is a fairly good drama! The storyline is solid and there are some good twists. The lead actor could have been a little less stiff but he did well overall. The supporting actors did very well too, especially Fingal Fu as detective Li Yan Zhi and Aro Yang as Feng Dong Dong. The nine stars are only because of my personal dislike of open endings, if not, I would have given ten stars for entertaining. Watch the second season; it flows nicely from this one's ending. Enjoy it!

This is a good drama. The storyline is nice and solid. Most actors did a good job but I must say that the drama was carried on by Chris Wu as Huo Ting En that delivered a great intense performance and Lawrence Liu as Peng Xiao Bin whose character provided many laughs and a genuine bromance. The other main actors did well, but the acting was subpar and at some points it felt spastic. The leading lady’s execution of her character was affected by lack of facial expressions; sometimes, her acting seemed forced and unnatural, gladly, Chris Wu made up with his warmth performance and their romantic scenes were believable. Still, it is a drama that is worth watching. Enjoy it!

This is a great character based drama that depicts a male lead with Dissociative identity disorder (DID) stemming from a traumatic event in his childhood! There is no good vs. evil, the main lead’s persona split into two personalities, one that is cold hearted and cowardish in order to protect himself and one that is warm, understanding, and brave. The lead male actor (Hyun Bin as Gu Seo Jin/Robin) did such a great job that one totally forgets that he is still one person. This drama’s plot starts with Gu Seo Jin unexpectedly meeting Jang Ha Na which becomes the trigger to Robin’s (Gu Seo Jin’s alter ego) reappearance. From henceforth, and through a series of unfortunate events, this man starts on his way of healing, reconciliation, and falling in love. It has a good ending but the drama could’ve used one more episode to strengthen the lead couple’s relationship. Still, it is a great drama with many good actors playing their characters very well and a fantastic antagonist. Enjoy it!

This is a good drama that missed the chance to be a great romantic story. Although it has too many episodes, the supporting cast stories are nice. The main lead couple has good chemistry but plot was full of depressive attitude from the female lead, even if her character was written like that, their dramatic life became and her indulgence and self sacrifice for everyone else was overly extended and it got tiring toward the end. Forgiveness for his mother and embracing her selfishness was ridiculous. Even then, the cast did a great job delivering their characters. It is really not a bad drama to watch while waiting for a better one.

Do not believe the naysayers! Love To Hate You is a delightful romantic comedy that is really not trying to say that all men are misogynists; she dated such guys to settle a score in behalf of the women that they have hurt. The drama is a comedy and, as so, it relates the story in a somewhat lighthearted way to bring the leading couple together and make them realize that loving the right person makes their lives a lot more fulfilled. If a viewer is too judgmental of the drama, it will not be enjoyable; just watch it with an open mind and with the idea that the drama does not intend to convey messages in a self-righteous or tiresome way, it really tries to use a selected theme of taking revenge many men that happened to be taking advantage of women and, in the process, finding out that not all of them are created equal and throughout the process, the main cast the triumphed over adverse circumstance resulting in a happy ending. The drama has a great cast that did a fantastic job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has a highly pleasing romantic chemistry. Also, the overall chemistry was great and the cast delivered a very entertaining drama. Enjoy it!

This drama is an excellent production. It is a saeguk about three individuals that are thrown into chaos with the painful and heartbreaking history of a life changing revolution in Korea in the late 1800’s. Although there is continuous reference and chronological sequence of the Donghak Peasant Movement revolt of 1894, this drama is all about the people and the reasons that drive these individuals to make life changing decisions that will forever alter their path through life. The three main characters (Baek Yi Kang played by Jo Jung Suk, Baek Yi Hyun played by Yoon Shi Yoon, and Song Ja In played by Han Ye Ri) are caught up into the tumultuous, tragic, heartbreaking, and life changing events of the revolt of the Korean peasants and followers of the Donghak religion and its pantheistic ideology that instill a profound desire to change the inhumane treatment of the lower class by the noblemen and royalty, and eventually, fight the Japanese takeover of Joseon. That is the setting behind our main characters that, although they are fictional, their story could’ve well been one of the many real life stories during that period in Korean history. This is the story of three individuals that went through a radical change effected by these poignant and tragic developments in an effort to create an egalitarian society in Korean. This drama has a stellar cast and every character was brilliantly portrayed by actors that brought about a wide range of emotions, from profound love and great camaraderie down to their most vicious and horrendous nature and disposition. The drama depicts many historical events with accuracy which truly leaves the viewer deeply emotionally invested. Even if the viewer is not a fan of the many tragic events and loss of life that happens when a country is engulfed in war, the characters are a real force of nature that will leave deep impressions on one’s mind. Enjoy it!

CLIFFHANGER!!!

Oh My Lord is a good lighthearted drama that, sadly, ends with a cliffhanger and, hopefully, will be followed by a second season. The show has quick resolutions for the arising problems but it also has clichés that could’ve been avoided. For a 15 episodes drama, the leading couple and their servants did a good job bringing their characters to life, but for the most part, the acting from other supporting cast was subpar. Overall, it is a nice drama that needs a second season to make it worth watching.

Lovely Swords Girl is a light period wuxia drama that, although the actors shine on their dramatic moments, the leading lady, Yu Shengyou, is insufferable for most of the drama’s duration. She is headstrong and stubborn, loud and unruly, and, with the excuse that she’s young and doesn’t know what love is, she drags two male leads that, for 24 episodes, do nothing more than show her love, protection, and understanding. Although the drama depicts a love triangle, there’s no consistent chemistry among the leading males and Yu Shengyou. This drama is good to watch without high expectations while the viewers wait for a better one to come! There are some aspects of the drama that are worth watching: the great dynamics and unwavering love and support among the Gong family, Yu Shengyou and her faithful maid strong friendship and reciprocal support, the younger Gong brother and their love interest, Yu Shengyou’s father and the Gong’s parents. Must mention that Yang Shi Ze, as Gong Yuan Xiu, delivered a great performance as both the reserved and steadfast male lead and the fool Yuan Xiu.

This is a great crime fantasy drama! Although there are many negative comments, too many are really unjustified. The drama is very entertaining and the actors did a great job bringing these characters to life. The leading couple has great chemistry and rapport, although there were not many romantic scenes, the ones that they had were nicely done. The antagonists also did a tremendous job delivering spine-chilling scenes. It is true that there are some things about the Abyss, a soul-reviving marble, that were not explained and it could be bothersome to some viewers. Also, the end is really nice but it felt a little bit rushed, but overall speaking, the drama is really entertaining. Enjoy it!

Love Scenery (2024) is a very good romance miniseries with a cast that did very well bringing their characters to life. The drama has an evil antagonist and an opportunist that are creating chaos on the leads’ life but everything gets resolve quickly and nothing shakes the leading couple’s resolve to be together. The male lea, Wang Nan as Huo Yu Xuan, and the female lead, Zuo Yi as Song Shi Ning, have a great playful and romantic chemistry. Although the ending is playful between the leading couple, it has passed five years and they have a family together. There’s an unnecessary twist at the end that, unless there’s a second season, it’s worthless. Putting that aside, the drama is quite entertaining, enjoy it!

You Are My Lover Friend (2024) is a light, heartwarming and beautiful tale of a couple of young friends that are smart and strong on their own but become smarter and stronger when they are together, and their journey of over a decade of being each other’s stronghold through life's challenges and successes. Jiang Shi Yan as Zhang Xin Cheng and Wang Yu Wen as Tang Yang did a wonderful job bringing their characters to life. The leading couple, Zang Xin Cheng and Tang Yang developed a strong bond since their high school years and one can tell that his decision to become sworn brothers was Xin Cheng’s way to protect Tang Yang from gossip and still been able to be bosom friends without teachers’ and gossiper’s interferences. Some reviewers have complained that it took too long for them to acknowledge their romantic feelings for each other but this drama is about their journey from friends to “partners in crime”, building their own dreams, confidants, lovers, and establishing a life together for the rest of their lives.
This is a slow burn romantic drama but it is not a slow burn relationship. Their friendship was strong, reliable, trustful, fun, and adventurous; so, it is very clear that they will have some apprehension moving forward into a romantic entanglement that could jeopardize their friendship; but even so, after careful consideration, it was precisely that strong connection that allow them to recognize that, in order not to lose being able to be together in the future, it was much better to move forward with their feelings and love each other without reservations.
Not been a fan of slow burn romances, this one was an enjoyable one to watch. The supporting cast also did a fantastic job bringing their characters to life; their friendship with the leading couple was a riot and their bond is genuine and steadfast; also a pleasure to watch was the leading couple’s parents. Overall, this drama is well written and it has great performances from both main and supporting cast members. Enjoy it!

Jade's Fateful Love (2024) is a nice historical fantasy romance drama. The drama has nice cinematography and choreography with a very engaging fantasy element that provides the couple with opportunities to spin the wheel of fortune into their favor. This fantasy element keeps is the most engaging part of the plot since the romantic storyline, although it remains faithful and steadfast, is not a heart throbbing one. The female lead has really good and sweet facial expressions that are in tune with the recurrent romantic events but the male lead, even when his character was well written, does not irradiate his loving feeling through his facial expressions. It is still nice to see how the main couple’s actions are in tune with one another’s feelings. The supporting cast could have done better but the acting doesn’t ruin the drama. Overall, this is a nice drama to watch while waiting for a great one to come. Enjoy it!

Lost You, Found You (2024) is a great romantic wuxia. The cast did a very good job bringing their characters to life, and the leading couple, Gu Lin Yuan (Dai Gao Zheng) and Yun Fei Fei (played by Tu Zhi Ying, has splendid romantic and playful chemistry. This drama has a story of factions playing against each other as a background stage and the antagonists offer the male lead a position from which he can protect the leading lady. He’s the good guy turned antihero and loving protector. The leading lady is also a strong character that will stop at nothing in order to protect her beloved. They go through thick and thin but their love only get stronger through every trial. The story is well written and the drama has very good action scenes, cinematography, beautiful costumes, and pleasing settings. Overall, this drama is about the leading couple, once separated by inevitable circumstances, founding each again and, finally, been able to fight for a chance to be together. Overall, the drama is good, the romance is captivating, and the story is well performed by the cast. Enjoy it!

Promise in the Summer (2023) is a fantastic youth romance drama. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has great chemistry. The drama doesn’t have the passionate kind of romance but the one that develops subtlety and grows with every interaction. The leading couple, Ma Hao Dong as Han Qi Lu and Liu Nian as An Chu Xia, is fun to watch and there are plenty of fluttering moments that keep the drama going in a very wonderful way. The secondary couple, An Chen Chuan (played by Jian Ze Zheng) and Mo Xin Wei (played by Huang Yun Yun) did a great job also in bringing about their really nice relationship. Although there are some minor issues against the leading couple, everything is resolved appropriately and Han Qi Lu is resolute in keeping An Chu Xia by his side. This drama is well written and the parents, especially the mothers, are a delight. Overall, this drama is adorable and entertaining.

Thousands Of Years Of Love is a great historical miniseries! As other reviews have said, it’s a bit rushed but, taking into consideration that the plot has the Xuanming, Immortal, and Mortal Realms’ settings, everything was done properly; from locations, cinematography, costumes, makeup, OST, and the selection of a well casted leading couple. The supporting cast had some good acting moments but the leading couple remained steady with good acting skill from beginning to end. The drama is a romantic wuxia with good CGI’s and some dramatic and comedic elements. The leading couple, very well performed by Yu Xuan Chen as leading man Mo Chen Yuan / Yin Mo Ting and Tu Zhi Ying as leading lady Feng Ruo Yao / Lu Chen X, has great chemistry and very well done believable romantic scenes. Overall, this drama is well done and entertaining.
