Lost Love in Times is a good fantasy romance set within a historical period of time. The drama is full of palace antics, magical fantasy; well choreograph actions scenes, smart leads, and good supporting actors. The title gives a hint as what to expect about the development of the romance as the leading couple struggles to remain strong while also sacrificing for one another in more than one lifetime. The cast did a good job of bringing their characters to life but the romantic scenes between the leads and supporting cast was insipid for the most part. The plot is well developed and the story flows nicely but, for a drama about love, the leading couple did not elicit enough awestruck moments. Still, the drama is a great watch if one is looking for a solid historical setting with engaging characters. Enjoy it!

This is a nice “becoming a family” kind of drama to watch while waiting for a great one. The leading couple has very good intimate chemistry but their romance is very slow to become and the leading lady, who started as very smart and savvy, could be too childish and intolerable at times, although her character turned around on the last episodes was right on spot. The drama took too long for the leading couple to realize their true feelings for each other and the end was rushed but, overall, the drama is entertaining.

This is a really nice and cute coming of age and “like yourself the way you are” drama. Although the female lead suffers an injury to her face, she worked hard to accept her circumstances, and with the help of her friends, family, and the male lead that loved her steadfastly throughout the drama, she learned to love herself for who she really are and not for how she looks. The positive thing about the leading lady and her circumstances is that she knows that she will have to persevere since there are moments when she is still hurt by the scar on her face, Even then, as she hopes that the scar will become less noticeable, she remains in good spirits as she is loved and accepted by the meaningful people in her life, but more than that, she loves the person she has become. Overall, although the romance is not center staged, the drama is entertaining. (*The title does not reflect the plot drama at all!)

The Rebel Princess is a magnificent star-studded production that delivers great entertainment. From the storyline to the cinematography, cast, costumes, OST, and finally, the fantastic chemistry among the leading couple, this drama is a great watch. Although the story is about A’Wu (Wang Xuan -portrayed by Zhang Zi Yi), a princess from the Wang clan that was wise, intelligent, determined (rebellious?), forthright, and quite savvy on matters of strategizing and conflict resolutions, the best part of the drama is the relationship between her and her husband General Xiao Qi (portrayed by Zhou Yi Wei). They grow to love, trust, respect, and protect each other against the entire series of antagonists without compromising their integrity. The main characters have a beautiful relationship that flows very naturally and, after each and every ordeal that they encounter, their relationship grows deeper and stronger. A’Wu is not a damsel in distress but she always welcomed her husband’s protection who, not only adored her, but was also mesmerized by her wisdom, endurance, and steadfastness in loving and trusting him. Overall, this is a very entertaining drama!

This is a nice fantasy drama. The story happens within a video game in a historical timeline where the leading female is accidentally gets drawn into it and the only way to get back to the real would be after she finds her true love. The actors did a fairly good job delivering their characters but there’s no consistent great acting. The leading couple has decent chemistry but it could have been better. The storyline is lighthearted with some good dramatic moments and the story is easy to follow. The last episode felt rushed and the ending, although it was a good one, it was insipid.

This is a fantastic web drama romantic comedy! It is a smart and well executed period drama. The plot shows a female scriptwriter that gets transported from modern days into her own historical drama storyline where she gets entangled with the male lead. The story is fast paced without prolonged unnecessary issues but with enough twists to keep the drama interesting. The cast did a great job delivering their characters and the main leads have really good chemistry that shows throughout the whole production. Although the romantic scenes could’ve been better, the leading couple shines throughout the whole drama. The comedy is great, not way over the top to make the viewers cringe. What really makes the comedy great is not only the good writing but the actors facial expressions that are priceless, especially on episode 13 when the main leads are rescued! Overall, this drama really delivers a great romantic comedy. Enjoy it!

This is a very good and entertaining period drama. This drama has a lot of well choreographed action scenes, crime investigation, palace antics, a great antagonists and his entourage of bad people, a loud, oftentimes too impulsive but sweet and cute female lead, and a seemingly cold, smart, and loyal male lead. The supporting cast was great and the main cast was fantastic. The female lead, Yuan Jin Xia ((played by Tan Songyun) and imperial officer Lu Yi (played by Ren Jia Lun), had great onscreen chemistry, which left a hint of disappointment that their love storyline didn’t have many romantic scenes. The romance takes places slowly, it is steadfast and endearing as they both are constantly working together and willing to sacrifice their own lives to protect the other, and for the lack of romantic scenes, they make up by their understanding just on the way that they look at each other! Overall, this drama has adventure, mystery, action, and a lovely romance. Enjoy it!

This will be a great saga if season 2 follows through with the great cinematography, choreography, flawless witty, profound, and delightfully smart dialogues, intriguing plot, mesmerizing characters, and above all, stellar performances. Joy of Life’s author has written some great xianxia novels that have been turned into dramas (Fighter of the Destiny-2017, Ever Night-2018) that I have enjoyed, and this drama, based on his novel Qing Yunian, is another masterpiece. The only problem with this drama is the ridiculous fact that the sequel will be out in the year 2022. The end comes with a twist that is quite surprising and unexpected. Enjoy it!

This was a cute and entertaining manga short series. Although it is a romantic comedy, there’s no romance, just the early stages of two people getting to really like and fall for each other. If the viewer can overcome the age gap and understand cultural variation, the drama is will be seen as fun and delightful. The actors did a good job bringing their quirky characters to life and made the drama enjoyable. Overall, this drama offers a funny and light romantic story in a comedic and fast paced fashion. Enjoy it!

This drama is entertaining but is not memorable. It is an odyssey, which it means that it will be a long and eventful journey, which the drama did provide. Once that said, the plot is sometimes incoherent and all over the place. The characters are likable but the leading female character spent most of the drama been stubborn and child like, her love hate relationship with the leading male was overbearing and it took too long for the romance to take place and, once it did, it was not as great as expected. The leading male, even through his twice acquired amnesia, is steadfast toward his feelings and demonstrates a steady good nature quality. The second part of the drama had too many ridiculous twists that became somewhat repetitive and the ending is rushed and ambiguous. Overall, it is not a bad drama; it has enough fantasy to keep the viewer amused.

This is a good adventure drama. The story is well supported by the mystery and search for a mythical treasure that leads the characters through underground tombs and other mysterious places throughout the drama. There are various antagonists that create havoc and bring about good action scenes, although their acting skills, for the most part, are not the best with the exception of Wang Chuang as Lu Jianxun who is Zhang Qishan's military opponent. Although there is romance within this adventure saga, the romantic scenes are not memorable, but there’s great playful chemistry between the leading couple, Zhang Qishan (William Chan) and Yin Xinyue (Zhao Liying), and their very few romantic moments were nicely done. The disappointing issue of this drama is the open-ended finale, which could’ve indicated a second season, but obviously after almost three years past its release, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. Overall, this is a good and entertaining action/adventure drama. Enjoy it!

This is a good sports/competition drama that focuses on the lives and struggles of a former E-sport team that disbanded after getting the championship and how, 10 years later, they find themselves with the opportunity to fulfill their broken dreams through a nice story progression that leads to a satisfying result at the end of the journey. Although the main focus of the drama is the story of the main characters from the disbanded team, the leading male, Han Shangyan, finds himself falling in love with Tong Nian, a gentle and sweet girl that manages to help him break down his emotional protective barriers creating a nice and cute romance. There are some parts of this drama that are wonderful and some others that are frustrating at the same time. The writer(s) didn’t give justice to Tong Nian’s apparent high IQ making the character as someone lacking emotional intelligence toward her own self. Although the drama is full of great characters and solid side stories, they were not brought up to its true and full potential. This drama is not perfect but it is entertaining, enjoy it!

Angel’s Last Mission is a good light romcom that brings up a love story between a human and an angel. There’s character development throughout the drama for both leads and some supporting characters. Although there are some plot twists that could eventually separate the leads, they remain steadfast to their intent on loving and protecting each other, their chemistry is nice but not strong enough which makes some of their the romantic scenes dispassionate. Although at the end the main leads end up together, the ending feels rushed and unimpressive since it doesn’t deliver the emotions of a reencounter brought up through devoted love and sacrifice. Overall, the drama has some weak elements but it is entertaining.

This is a very nice romantic comedy that deals with all the dynamics surrounding the male lead that suffers from a neurological condition that renders him unable to recognize faces. The drama offers entertainment and it combines comedy and romance throughout its duration. The leading couple has great chemistry and the second leads are really cute together. The second leading lady, although at moments insufferable, delivers a great comedic element and the leading lady’s brother is hilarious. Although there’s a revenge plot that affects the lives of all involved, the drama is lighthearted and fun to watch. The main and supporting cast did a great job bringing their characters to life. There are some inconsistencies in the drama but, overall, is a good watch. Enjoy it!

This drama is really a 10, my rating for Music and Rewatch Value brings the overall rating down :(
This is a great entertaining comedy that uses the legal system as its setting where the main characters are all related to the judicial system. The main and supporting cast did a great job in bringing these complex characters’ personalities to life. The overall tone of this drama is comedic but it also succeeds in bringing up the humanistic aspects of injustice and its resolutions through the use of the court system. This drama is not focused on any romantic attraction between the lead couple but more on the mutual understanding and respect that developed throughout the duration of the drama gained through a battle of wits and misunderstandings about the male lead that kept coming to light as the drama progresses. Although the antagonists were all bad, selfish, and rotten people to the core, the drama makes light of the circumstances through comedic moments and, at the end, justice is served. Don't look for legal absurdities (it's a comedy after all) and enjoy it!
