I loved Jong Kook hyeong working with wool! XDD and loved the babbling parts. Wish they showed more of that last part though XD but its' still fun, love the new dynamics kang hoon and ye eun bring <3
Nami's story's end and the ending. The big fight and the ending were really great <3 especially the ending <3 Many Spoilers again ahead!they really did nerf them all, but i loved snaji and zoro's fight! i also love that usopp could have his small moment. Luffy fighting arlong was a little bit strange in this setting because he seems less stronger than zoro XD so i was really worried about him. But it worked out well. I truly like that they showed her room. and how she was chained. And i also love that nami participated in this! :D i love that nami hugged usopp and zoro XD technically she doesn't know sanji XD though in this setting she met his as a waiter. I LOVED the part where sanji said his finishing moves and zoro was like yeah you will fit right in XD (little does he know that his manga counterpart also says his finishing moves) XDGarp's storyline, honestly, again i like that we see him a lot, but at the same time it was weird. the tension they are supposed to bring was gone as soon as we learned that he is his grandpa. like what would grandpa do at max XD in the end he just came to scold him and luffy told him, nah ill be a pirate. This while stroyline could have been cut in half and instead we could have had for example the explanation of nami's new tattoo being mix of nojiko's tattoo which is tangerines and genzo's pinwheel. I do like her talk with bellemere in the end. <3 And i LOVE that they included the tangerine trees on the going merry! it's such an important part of going merry! <3 Coby giving luffy his bounty was great, and luffy trying to imitate the pic was the best <3 I LOVE that they included usopp noticing himself there. And of course the ending with smoker! <3 I do really like seeing them on the Merry just chatting away. it's really nice. Anyway! the ending teaser was great! the changing logos were great! And buggy alvida teaser in the end was great. And honestly i love that they did it like in the manga, that every time there is a new bounty the news coo go around the world and we see all the familiar faces. Again the easter eggs were great, and i LOVED the We Are remix playing when they sail away! <3 Hoping for season 2! but dreading chopper! XD hopefully it will be even better.
Great episode overall! The whole season was doing a great job to tie everything in to Arlong park and Nami. And finally it is time! Spoilers ahead! be warmed! serious spoilers! So first of all I love that the berrys (money) are from Oda-sensei's designs. <3 And I LOVE that they made Arlong park into this amusement park. This might look weird because in the anime and manga it didn't look like that, but this type of change is one of those changes that makes the story so much deeper and so much better and ties in later episodes! As it shows how Arlong built this place to resemble the Sabaody Archipelago park. It's just a perfect change, like the world government logo on some of the crates at the start. Anyway i love it! <3 One person i know watched this and told that she cried. I'm very happy about that. But if i am completely honest because they changed so much here it made the impact less. Like i said before some changes are so good, but some changes like changing the key moments from nami's backstory decreased the impact it should have had. So first even if it's a very small thing i wish they kept genzo's pin wheel. Like looking at the scene, i can see that they actually filmed it, because genzo has his pinwheel on his hat in the flashback. but because it is not explained and he doesn't have one in the present day it looks very weird if one were to notice that. But many don't even notice it. I think the filmed it but then cut that part out. Which makes me wish they cut more of the marines and instead had this part as his pinwheel is a big part of her future tatoo. Bellemere looks a little bit older that she was but it's okay, I am mostly sad that they changed it a little more. Bellemere was much stronger and also the main part, that here it seems like she gives that money for herself, and after arlong notices the plates she says about the daughters. I loved (and hated XD) that in the manga, she doesn't give him the money for herself. He doesn't even know about the kids and doesn't notice them. It all happening outside and Arlong asking her if she doens't have any family and that the money is for herself, she says "i have two daughters" money is for them. It's like she wasn't planning on hiding that from the very start she realized she cannot defeat him. And only after she says that money is for them they run to her. and he kills her. tbh i cannot ask a lot from child actors and nami's child actress did such a good job but i would have liked if they screamed a bit when he shot her. And that whole thing is escalated even more because before that nami fought with her and told her she is not her mom and they didn't actually reconcile. And after the fight this whole thing happens and she tells that they are her daughters. It just hits differently and i wish they could have kept the original, cutting parts here and there. And honestly cutting this flashback into parts even though has it's own impact, but it also gives the viewers time to think and theorize. And most of the people would actually figure out that she will be killed and also figrue out the reason nami is doing this all. So having the flashback as a whole without cutting it, gives the viewers less time to think. because in this case even if those thoughts cross someone's mind they will be brief and they will see the outcome on screen already which may lead to a better and stronger impact, than saying oh i knew that was it. XD Second part of changes that didn't sit well with me is that the whole village and nojiko hated nami and didn't know about the whole thing. This honestly again decreases the whole impact. Because in the manga and anime, you are like hit one after the other by every character so it's like not letting you go. I wish they kept the village knowing about that whole thing. Her whole confrontation at the grave with nojiko could have been nojiko saying how we knew about it and we didn't tell you so that you could run away anytime. And then we didn't get to see the whole reason nami collapses, yes it is the money but after the money gets confiscated by nezumi, this is where the village comes and tells nami, all this time we knew it all but this is the end, we go and we fight and die, so that you can be free, And she is shocked that everyone knew but tells them that it's okay that she is now more skilled and can gather money again, but they still leave to fight arlong. And that's where nami collapses, of helplessness that not only the money was stolen but also she couldn't stop her loved ones from going on to a suicide mission. And that where luffy comes in. And tbh in the story luffy is so much stronger that this whole thing again hits differently. in the live action i was a little bit worried for luffy, yes he is rubber but he seems weaker than zoro, so can zoro fight arlong please, but oh wait zoro is badly injured, they are going to die O_O lol XD but maybe that is just a me thing. and also one more thing that threw me off track was that luffy was actually listening to nami's backstory. I am hoenstly not quite sure why did they change it. Because it is such a big thing of one piece as a whole that luffy always sleeps or something during the backstories. And tbh him not hearing nami's backstory was a huge thing. because he said of course he will help without knowing what is going on. That is why that whole walk towards arlong park, and then him crashing the door and saying which one of you is arlong had me crying XD I wish they kept it. Here arlong suddenly attacking the village is a bit strange as he gets money from them, but then if we think that he gets the map and plans to leave i guess it's okay. One more thing Little nami going to arlong saying i have what you want, so let me buy the village was a bit strange. They could have easily left that as is, aka arlong telling her that and not her telling arlong. because, how does she know he wants maps? he never said that, so why does she want to work for him? anyway the whole deal was weird. In the manga/anime arlong is the one who sees her maps and takes her, saying work for me, and when she is like why and all, if he will let them free he says ok then help me and i will let you buy the village. Also i would have liked that they would keep the part where it says that because he is bribing nezumi he keeps arlong's bounty low. Anyway, I love that they mention jinbei! :D I love the details on the map room and i love the maps nami drew <3 her theme is also nice. It is also really good how they cut things out to summarize this whole story. They have done a great job at it, I just wish they would have kept some things that had the big imapct. Also i'm still not sure about the marines and Garp storyline. I mean it was awesome at the start! i loved it, but now it is a bit dragged, zeff saying he sees roger in luffy is a bit strange as he didn't see luffy fight don krieg. coby helpemeppo having some vibes XD lol i still ship coby with that marine girl from the manga. And also i know they wanted some tension about marines being after them but honestly them revealing that it is luffy's grandpa, and all took away from the tension a lot. Like it is obvious he is going to like scold luffy, and luffy being nah im a pirate and the end XD so that tension they wanted to have with marines on their tail, is kind of not working well with that reveal. So if they cut down some of that, they could have really included a lot of stuff that was more important. again, overall it was great, Emily's performance was great!
this was a great episode! <3 but onto spoilers! XD Zoro mihawks fight was nice i love that they left the tiny sword. Kinda wish zoro's flashback was here and not in usopp arc but there would have been no time. for me personally the emotions were not as strong as i felt in the manga and the anime. I think mostly it was because that whole fight happened right after don krieg, and zeff and sanji were also watching this fight, and then zoro cried T_T this was such a big moment. But i think because of time constrants they had to cut a lot out. and it was still good considering how much they had to remove. however for me the problems with don kriegs removal start here, because luffy doesn't have his hero moment here. he doesn't save baratie. zeff doesn't say his iconic line about luffy's inner strength. This while part was the one that had sanji gravitate towards joining the strawhats. Also watching zoro's fight too. Other than that zoro pledging loyalty to luffy, i almost cried T_T but tbh luffy here is so much weaker, that zoro being the only strong one pledging his loyalty to him felt a bit strange but still nice. I didn't like nami blaming luffy for this. though i do understand where they come from. nami holding usopp's hand was super nice. shows some bonding, shows that she cares, and also ties with later parts of the story where nami and usopp constantly panic together XD i like how they showed zeff and sanji cooking together, it showed that they are not really hating each other. Sanji's backstory, honeslty the best one so far, i think because it was coherent. wasn't cut out and sprinkled throughout. A little sad that they decided to make emphasis on him making gourmet food or something instead of throwing away the leftovers. That was such a great arc for sanji, and they could have totally done it. I love that they stuck to the manga version about the leg. The actor playing wee sanji was doing great. But i'll be honest i was so immersed untill he said "you ate your leg" honestly it was terrifying and more impactful than the anime/manga but when he said the phrase it broke my immersion. I do think this was one of those times where they should have gone with the show not tell method. Same with shanks. instead of it's my fault, just crying would have been more impactful for me personally. Here too if he just lost strength in his knees and just fell down of the horrible though, instead of saying about the leg, would have been so much more impactful for me. But nevertheless this backstory was the one i liked the most. And i believe it was because it was shown as a whole. (thank you oda sensei for telling them to keep the backstories as is and not change them T_T), speaking of oda sensei even though i love zoro and nami bonding over drinks but That you Oda sensei for telling them not to include any romance with strawhats! There is completely no need for romance in here! it will only drag them down. Arlong coming here. honestly i wasn't really against arlong being shown early, but the thing is, first of all Luffy fighting arlong here was super unnecessary, this is not a kaidou fight, showing luffy losing easily like that created more problems for me. Second bring the phrase "which one of you is arlong" here is so sad T_T this phrase lost it's meaning and took a different meaning in here. :( in the manga luffy says it in the village helping nami, and there it was sooooooooooo impactful, as it was like i don't care what rumors i have heard, i don't care who you are, you hurt my friend so come out and i'll beat you. That was so impactful. here it wasn't. But at the same time i'm thankful they kept the phrase. But luffy losing here, was strange, because now when he loses, Sanji's desire to join the crew feels strange, and zeff being ok with sanji leaving was also strange. They didn't see zoro fight, the y just saw him deadly injured, they didn't see luffy against don krieg, they just saw how he was beaten by arlong. So him leaving felt a bit odd. i kind of wish they would have kept the whole stuff being like go away sanji your cooking is bad and all, but i understand that they didn't have time. Also the "dogeza". the goodbye and thank you on knees T_T man i cried during that moment, but here him being on top of the ship and looking down on zeff but saying thank you was a bit odd :( even though he acted very well, his voice cracking and all. I guess this was more for a western audience. :( though i'm also one, but i prefer the japanese way XDStill they have done really great if we consider all the limitations they had!luffy saying zoro i need you and zoro pledging loyalty here. Honestly it was moving, but at the same time, i felt sorry for luffy, i was thinking like, yes zoro please protect our precious luffy. While luffy has to be stronger from the very start XD But I LOVE luffy jumping on zoro immediately after zoro waking up XD lol XD that's so luffy XDNami leaving it was very different so it didn't have that shocking impact of "omg she is evil she betrayed them O__O them" feel that the manga had XD it was good in it's own way <3 oh right, mihawk telling garp about luffy. honestly i'm not sure about this. he fought zoro, so he could have told about zoro, but he didn't see anything of luffy, except him having shank's hat. but i guess maybe like haki feeling or something XDmarines, i still think they are taking too much of the precious time but at the same time understand why they are doing it XD coby and helmeppo bonding over drinks? XD it was weird and had vibes that were not really about those two but ok XD i still ship coby with that girl from the manga though. Overall it was a great episode, which ties us in with arlong park! :D but i have to mention how much i love the paintings on baratie walls! and gaimon being in one of those T_T perfection T_T
with spoilers XD this episode was so much better than usopp arc for me. I LOVE baratie's set! it's just so perfect! T_T with all the pictures and details and all! T_T sanji's intro is great! i love how they are showing why he is now a waiter and with such a bad mood. i LOVE the normal water in a normal glass line. it was perfect! <3 i like how they tease her. even though it's kinda not in my own view of these characters, but it works for live action and i really like it! <3 <3 <3 now because they kinda shifter don krieg to be like a cameo appearance, and the replaced fullbody with garp, this gives a little bit of problems, that they masterfully solve, but if i were to nitpick i would say a lot XD i'm ok with fullbody being cut, garp is having too much screentime and this is such a huge spoiler for water 7 arc XD but okay XDmihawk being sent by garp, was weird by i understand why they would do it. it's a good way to both introduce the shichibukai warlords also gives an excuse for him to be there, if don krieg is not. i like they included gin, even though it was a cameo. i LOVE luffy in a jumpsuit with milk XD such a nice homage to romance dawn and the the cover XDmihawk looks perfect! i'm not a fan of his way of talking though. his fight with zoro, was good. but if i were to compare it to the manga, well it was just so much better there. i kinda like how they changed that luffy now has to wash the dishes because i can't pay, rather than destroying their property XD they built such a huge set XD destroying it would be such a shame XD Overall it was a good episode for me!
with spoilers. This and previous episode even though very nice! much better than they could have been but also a little bit lacking for me personally. again, like in the previous ep the spooky mansion is great, kuro is great, merry was great too. but the kill of merry? :( honestly i know that fans hate the fake out deaths especially pell, but i'm not one of those fans XD i know Matt is XD so i understand why they did it, and i feel that they will do it with pell too. But boy i really love fake out deaths. XD i was rejoiced when pell was alive and i was rejoiced when merry was too. but here, with kaya having only and only merry, this seems very strange. why does usopp leave? leaving kaya all alone! she is strong she can handle? XD nah XD shoving the fake strong female lead trope onto this is a little bit not for me, because in this case, kaya is still sick, she is still recovering, plus she always had someone to take care of her. killing off merry makes are all alone and with that kiss in the end (which i really don't like ><) usopp's leaving is not justified, if he cares for her that much. especially that he doesn't seem to have a clear goal here. In the manga he does, and there is no romance with kaya and she is staying with merry. which makes it all perfect. the second thing that was a bit strange for me is the inclusion of zoro's flashback here. It absolutely stole from usopp. it became zoro's arc of climbing out of the well. :( i understand why they could do that, because they didn't have enough time in other eps, but still, his arc's inclusion here stole from usopp too much. even though i was ok with jango and usopp's crew being absent, this creates a lot of problems XD the main one being usopp doesn't get his hero moment! so him joining the crew feels very very unearned. nami and zoro are nice and strong, it feels earned, in case of usopp, it doesn't, all he does was panicking, i liked that he stayed with keaya still but no one sees it, no one notices. usopp just runs away, so luffy inviting him can be pushed into luffy's dumbness even though luffy here is less dumb than in the manga, but zoro inviting him is not justified. I hope on the second season they try to justify the other strawhats more <3 i like that they replaced jango with that poison soup and luffy eating it all, it is so luffy, but this creates a huge plot hole XD he passes out without knowing what is happening XD and when he wakes up with the marines he is like pirates XD the butler XD and i was like you don't know that XD lol but this could have been easily fixed with him eavesdropping sham's conversation while eating the soup, and maybe they did that but then cut that part in the editing. idk xD but hopefully in season 2 they won't <3 maan i wish i could participate in the production XD lol also the whole big kuro's plan of 3 years is kind of weird here, because in the manga he wanted to live there quietly and make it that kaya was killed by pirates, but here is like killing people left and right and it's obvious it is him. Anyway overall i think the episodes are nice and spooky but even though i like usopp a lot, and the casting for him is perfect, i think they could have cut out some parts like zoro's looong climb, kaya and nami bonding (which was nice, but if we need time, then not needed), and cut out some of the marines, to add in at least usopp's hero moment. because tbh XD koby and helmeppo don't look that dependable XD like them being at the door of the mansion, i was more worried about them than our mugiwaras XD again my personal opinion, i know a lot of people who loved these two episodes, thinking it's better than the long syrop village arc in the manga or anime, so i'm very happy about that! <3 hope we see more of usopp!
with spoilers!overall nice episode! I love the sets!! they are awesome! <3episode 3 is where the camera angles really bother me more XDwhat is with this weird lens? super close ups and the faces look distorted while the bg looks blurry XD interesting choice XDit feels really stuffed in the mansion because of the angles, but at the same time it gives the spooky feel more which is nice.the good things about this ep is that i really like usopp's introduction, as working on a ship, which can explain why he is so good at it. Then him really bluffing about who he is putting this air. it's great!captain kuro is amazing! i think they did him very well. also the cats! XD and i'm ok that they changed the other one to being a girl. i'm also ok with the things happening in kaya's mansion. I LOVE that they included gaimon's animals there! omg XD that's awesome!kaya's actress is either a miscast or the make up is too much for me personally. they could have shown her sickness with just a bit of plaeness rather than make her look so much older.zoro being knocked out by just a hit on the head, and then people just don't check if he is dead or not and just assume it. XD so strange. but i can live with that.choosing clothes and luffy being luffy was great! <3marines, i really like that they are including them, but it's a little bit too much?seeing buggy again is great <3usopp and kuro missing their crew i can understand that they removed them for the sake of time. and i was expecting that jango will be removed. though sad a bit.
second ep's highlight is buggy! honestly buggy is the best! they nailed him! <3 I absolutely love that they changed the town's roofs and made him a clown tent and he keeps all the people there. It is an example of change done right! it keeps the feeling, still scary, still funny, but not an open roof space with cannons. The only part i didn't like in this ep apart form again camera angles. is that buggy was like a psychologist. lol saying like let's dive deeper, what drives you, and that kinda stuff. XD like why? XDhis fruit introduction and how they handled it is amazing! i kinda wish luffy kicked him in the crotch XD but ok XD i also didn't like that luffy looked scared when in the water tank. he is just not the type. XD i'd rather have him smile or be expressionless. XDD nami x zoro not liking each other is the best. XD and omg! chouchou!!!! T_____________T maaaan i cried over this dog so many times!!! and i was sure they will remove the dog but T____T they made a tiny cameo of the dog and the mayor T_T oh maaaan! this is the best T______T that dog cameo is everything T_ Tokay i lied XD i can live with buggy the psychologist as it is hinting he know shanks. what i hate the most is luffy repeating shanks' words! :( i mean the whole flashback with shanks, even though great, I LOVE that they kept it as is, and i LOVE the world government logo and marine logo on the box with the fruit and the crates. This is just the perfect change that is ever made XD lol i love it! but the whole part with his arm, and luffy being it's my fault. the seabeast going away. it didn't have THAT impact. it was still good but not as good. i imagined it hitting more because they are real people. but sadly not. :( and luffy's child actor even though he acts really great, sadly he didn't have that energetic fun feel to him he looked more like hurt, crybaby type. which is a bit strange but whatever, he is a childactor, and i guess he did the best he could do so it is not my place to criticize him much. other places he acted great. And after all of this luffy repeating shank's words T_T i understand why they could include this here. i think they mostly didn't know if they will be able to continue so they wanted to include as much of an impact as they could. but here it is not earned. when he says it in jaia, it is earned. here it's just not earned, it just looks like he is trying to simply copy shanks, while in jaia it was luffy, it wasn't a copy, it was luffy, it was different and it was like the epitome of cool! and i forgot to mention this in the first ep, but ben backman :( he is like a huge miscast. :( hopefully they will recast him or rename him, and then cast someone else. but i love seeing red hair pirted fight! i love the finger gun, even though i kinda don't buy the surprised face on shanks XD but i guess it's just a me thing, they were still great, lucky roo is absolutely amazing! <3 like i said again XD buggy is great <3 and everyone is great, i LOVE the snails, denden mushi, i love that they made a mini snail with nami , hinting that something is wrong with her. i kinda wished they would hint she is like with marines or something, as she constantly says i hate pirates. That would have a been great, then it would become a great twist later. Garp! <3 <3 <3 maaaan i love his Scottish accent and I love how they are including coby and helmeppo's story here <3 i love it! i love that he has baroque works card on his desk, (btw first ep zoro fight with mr 7, and hinting at mr 1 LOVE IT) i love also that the captain morgan's map that box contained Kuro's poster! <3 and i love that they kept the dog hat on garp and his dog ship! and i didn't say it on the first ep, but i love how you can spot mihawks coffin ship when they show all the ships in the beginning! <3
i finished it <3 but i think I will just summarize my thoughts on each ep XD with spoilers XD for now XD because this is my absolute fav story of all time XD honestly i have not seen/read/heard a single story better than one piece and lord of the rings XD ep1! amazing! :3 with SPOILERS, be warned. honestly they have done such a great job with costumes, with sets, the towns omg! they look perfect! Easter eggs! omg XD the Easter eggs were something else! first of all loguetown! with dragon's green cloak, with little smoker and other youngsters, idk why that woman is similar to crocodile, hopefully not XD Marine costumes! wow! amazing! luffy's barrel logo! omg i can't! the news amazing! binks no sake playing in the background of luffy backstory had me shout with joy. luffy mentioning grabbing onto a giant bird XD maan i loved that! even if they can't do that, they at least mention it XD i love all the drinks logos being from real one piece world! <3 <3 <3 I LOVE the bounties being shown, i LOVE the map at the start, and i LOVE the openings with jolly rogers. (i think i will mention this on each ep!) the characters great! I'm a bit reserved how much they mention chasing dreams, i mean yeah they do talk about it in the manga, but then it is more subtle, here it's in the face. and speaking of in the face the camera angles! omg XD lol why did they make so many tight shots XD it's like reducing this whole big world into something small XD and like they built all these sets, and now they show them to us only on rare wide shots of background and the rest is super tight shots XD anyway XD i got used to this by the end so it wasn't as bad near the last eps XD I LOVE that they are not inserting west's favorite diversity and feminism where it is not the place. one piece is already full of great girls and great character of other races or orientations i hope they continue like this and don't go with their modern political agendas. plus this is a story about humans and not about genders or races so i'm very happy they don't do it. koby is so gooood! i love him! <3 Alvida omg she is fantastic!! the lady playing her is even more fantastic! <3 Helmeppo is also great apart from the extremely unnecessary nude scene. XD like why? they are complaining about time restrictions and that is like the main issue why they didn't include many story points, but like this part could be easily cut off and instead focus more on zoro and luffy. zoro and nami are a bit too serious. this edgy i'm trying to be cool people. at least knowing nami's backstory it can be justified for now, but not zoro. and still nami's obsession with money, i hope it was mentioned but it seems to be omitted. Buggy is GREAT! <3 honestly Buggy is the best!! i'm just so excited for him! he is this ominious and scary at first then ridiculous then just pure comedy I LOVE IT! the actor playing him is genius! he got the character absolutely right! <3 the only issue i might have apart from the butt scene is the riceballs scene. I wish they made it more justified. Like why the girl brings zoro riceballs, right now it's a bit creepy. he walks in and she suddenly brings him riceballs, smiling. then somehow people call it saving here, where helmepppo wasn't kinda killing her, he was about to move on after scolding her. and zoro picks up a fight. and later they call it saving the girl. I wish they justified a bit, either she met zoro before and is giving him the rice balls as a thankyou, or delivers them to someone else, or zoro actually orders them. then i wish helmeppo tried to kill her. that way it would have been that he saves her. here he doesn't save her, which doesn't exactly show his good nature as well as in the manga. apart from these minor things the first episode was great <3 I'm so so happy <3 ikuzoooooo!
Extremely bad full of plotholes. One big plot hole. >< they forgot their theory of time. making people disappear but not making the protagonists disappear... not explaining anything, and the big mystery was also extremely unexplainable. you know when something is written in a book of prophecy, it has to somehow happen, but not happen like you decide to do it because it's written because you feel pain, but you never tell why you feel pain? idk if i described it correctly. I think i will write more in a full review where there is a slight spoiler tag.
The second part of running man fanmeet :)very touching and funny. The did such a great job with all the performances! I was thinking at each song that oh I should write about this one, but then the next song was coming and I was already in love with the new one lol every single one was great. I was wondering how will they make the group final song with those lyrics but it turned out to be amazing :)I am glad all the songs will come out :)The spy part was also great :) and the way they recorded all the songs was super funny :) You have all worked very hard :) <3
