My thoughts before it aired:
I didn't know about this drama until maybe 2-4weeks before it's air date. I was really excited to watch this because of the actors who were casted as main leads. Their visuals in the poster arr awesome. I watched a few dramas of Kim Yoojung's and like 2 of Song Kang's that I didn't get to finish (not due to his acting but possibly because the stories weren't for me) so I had a rough idea on what to expect from Kim Yoojung's acting which I like.
The intro song:
This intro song has made it in to the top 10 intro songs that I'd never skip because wow.
Storyline:
The overall concept was good especially the first few episodes and the first half of the drama was really amazing. The second half of the drama was cool but I think that the story could have been filled with more awesome twists and possible new storylines could've benefited the drama for example if Do-Hee became the demon or was the original one somehow but as I'm writing this review, I think with the route that the drama went with was actually good because then that twist would've been so obvious.
That annoying side character:
There is most likely always an annoying side character trying to interfere with the main couple's relationship in most dramas but thankfully, here, she wasn't really evil but at times unlikable and selfish but was tolerable to an extent. I liked how her character developed and her story ended.
The main couple:
Cutie Pies. 💓 Awesome chemistry. Good casting. They need to be in another drama again after Song Kang returns from his military enlistment.
Favourite scene:
Trying not to spoil this but the stair case scene and how they got there was epic.
The last few episodes:
They were a little bit slow paced but that didn't really make me think 'I need to stop watching this'. Also, there were two times when Do-Hee behaved strangely for me and they were when she saw Gu-Won collecting his deal towards the last few episodes and when she 'protected' him at the end of episode 15.... I was thinking girl.... you know that he's a demon and that's what he does and also he has powers to protect himself. So, to answer this myself to give that an excuse, I thought okay let's just say it's just human instinct because she never saw him collect deals before properly and that action she did to save him was purely instinct aswell.
The last episode:
The story pretty much concluded in episode 15 or you could the beginning of episode 16 because we got our main lead back in like the firat 15 mins or so of the last episode which was great and the remainder of the episode (pretty much 90% of it) was dedicated to their happily ever after. I am glad that this was the case because usually in most other dramas we only get like 2 mins of a happy ending - 10 mins if we are lucky. There was no rush to conclude this drama on a positive note because they gave it plenty of time and that'l was awesome. One of the best things of the ending was that Gu-Won remained a demon and he actually liked being one and he didn't magically become human just to please viewers or that Do-Hee didn't become a demon somehow. They both stayed how they were and basically just loved each other. It was a bitter sweet happy ending because he'll outlive her but still finished on a positive note.
Should you watch this?
Completely your choice.
Was it a life changing drama that I will remember for years to come? (*ahem ahem Moon Lovers*)
Probably not but that's not to say that this isn't good.
My overall rating for this drama is a 10 because I genuinely enjoyed watching it and the anticipation of waiting for it weekly and omg the tiktok edits were so fun to watch.
