Great drama!

I loved this drama! It was a bit on the slow side but I liked that. It had a bit of everything to keep my interest.

Storyline - was a bit slow, like I said, but I think it fit this drama perfectly. It was a well written and executed story. I laughed at how the ML proposed to the FL. His nervousness was so funny but he did a great job! Their marriage was bumpy at first. Mother-in-law troubles but not to over the top. I am glad that neither of them gave into their wanting to separate them. I really thought the stepmother was kind of a witch. Constantly telling the FL she was not good enough for the family. Even though her son was a crooked jerk. I kept thinking of how she needed to focus on her own children and their problems rather than the stepsons and not wanting to accept his choice of wife. But they stuck to their love and weathered through it all. Loved the ending! It was perfect and satisfying.

Acting/Cast - Ren Jia Lun is a really good actor. I had to really go back and watch “Destiny of White Snake” because I could not believe that was him…lol. I have watched a few of his other dramas and feel that he has really done excellent in this drama. Bai Lu is really good also. I have seen her in quite a few dramas and think this is one of her best. Their chemistry was spot on and made the drama perfectly.

Music - another soundtrack to look for. I really liked it.

Rewatch - Yes, it is one of my favorites.

How to begin...

Yet another 40 episode drama where they finally get together at the very end! And I mean THE VERY END!!! Honestly I skipped parts. There is nothing new in this show. I get the male lead has a good heart but come on... he disappoints the female lead over and over again. If you truly, TRULY love someone you would never let anyone or anything get in your way of that love. Yet he did allow this even until the very end. 20 episodes in I kept says, “When is he going to come to his senses and see that he is breaking her heart and trust?” 30 episodes and I was like, “Why are you still talking with him or having anything to do with him? He is a looser!” 40th episode he is leaving the country with the other girl and “sees” the FL and decides to follow her? And the last 3-5 minutes they are happily together and no explication or words of “I love you” said. Just says her name, holds out his hand, she takes it, and he slips the ring on. (Smack head on the table). That sums it up. Not satisfying at all.

Storyline - nothing new here. Same story of a not so smart male lead who lets everyone and everything interrupt him over and over again and a not so smart female lead who doesn’t open her mouth and tell him how she really feels or thinks about those interruptions. Honestly I have watched so many Asian dramas like this. The FL says nothing to the ML almost the entire show! She really does not come out and say what really needs to be said. If it was me I would have told him how wrong he was for rushing to the other girl at every call or problem. I would have gotten in the other girls face and told her to get out! But no... she does not fight for her love or anything. Even in the end, after he told the FL he “likes her” he decides to leave with the other girl to another country. Really??? Priorities people! Sorry I get irritated at stupid people and honestly stupid scripts. I know it is a drama but please stop making the leads stupid. Make them fight for one another for once. Make them say what really needs to be said rather than making them say nothing and look pathetic the entire show. I have no sympathy for either of them. I don’t relate to their situation because it was just stupid and unrealistic for me!

Acting/Cast - they did as good as they could with the script they had. That is about all I can say here.

Music - ok

Rewatch - nope nada don’t want to torture myself again with a poorly written script. And a show that just drags out to much and leaves you with a blah ending. Sorry I just have to be true to my take on this show.

It was ok... I just have a hard time with...

Where to begin? This is a bit lengthy so if you don’t want to read it so be it. It has some of my personal experiences/opinions in it.

First off, I am a stay at home mom. I don’t get how some mothers see this as losing their identity because they stay home to raise their kids. They see a career as being more rewarding to validate their lives. Being a mom who stays home is one of the greatest gift as a mother. You are there to help mold and shape these sweet, precious little people. To help them become better and strong and independent day by day. So being a stay at home mom and wife is one of the greatest rewards there is. I have always wanted to be home with my kids and homeschool them. And I am really blessed to be able to do that. I do not feel or ever felt I lost my identity or who I was. That being said... I know not every woman is like me, so I do not really hold it against them. I know that a lot of mothers HAVE to work outside the home to make ends meet. I know there are a LOT of single moms out there. I know there are woman who really are not cut out to be a stay at home mom. I hold NOTHING against them. I admire them for all they do and put up with. But for me I love being home with my kids. I am a landlord and will take a more active roll in it once my children are more grown. So I will work later on just not while my kids are of school age. So for the show...

This show had me mad at the husband and mad at the wife. I get both sides I really do. I have a husband who puts his family first above his job. So the husband made me mad when he could not get why the wife wanted to divorce. Everyone around him was trying to get him to see what she was talking about but he did not get it. The other “wives” of his business partners ticked me off! What right did they have to put her down for her beliefs and what she wanted to accomplish. And how the men talked about her after she left... if that was my husband he would have told them off. Boss or no boss don’t put my spouse down in front of me. My dad did it once to my mom and boy he never did it again after that. It comes down to respect! And I do understand that here in the U.S. we are more forward thinkers when it comes to women, work, and family. Seems that other countries the women are still fighting for their chance at choosing how they want to live and work.

If there is any lessons to learn here...
1: Husbands need to help out. Our world is fast paced and it is almost not enough for just the wife to be the only homemaker and Vice a versa... it is almost not enough for the husband to be the only bread winner. Times have changed in this regard and we need to learn to adapt and work together.
2: Wives can still find validation as a mom. It is very rewarding. Just like the FL said, when your baby calls you “mom” it is a wonderful experience! It makes you feel like you are someone important. You realize that there is a little person counting on you! They love and adore you. You become their world! It is a wonderful feeling!
3: Communicate! Listen and help each other out.
4: Men! Stay the heck away from other women! Don’t put yourselves in a situation where there are temptations and where others see it as cheating even if you are not. Avoid the very appearance of evil!

Storyline - Haha ok so I rated the story kind of higher than most because it really shows the struggles of real life married couples who both want a career. I think they did a great job. I had a hard time when the husband hung out to with his assistant. I also had a hard time with the husbands failure to really stop and listen to what his wife was saying. He was a jerk in that sense. He really did not even try to understand her. He told her she was selfish. She was a bit selfish. They both were at fault. I am glad he finally came around and saw it from her point of view. So many times I wanted to be her and just walk away or really tell him off! And the higher ups he worked with I wanted to be in her shoes and really tell them where to go. Haha good thing it was NOT me! Hubby would have been fired. I don’t take crap from anyone! Lol

Acting/Cast - I really think the cast did a great job. The emotion was there. And it was really well played.

Music - was good. I liked it.

Rewatch - probably not. I don’t watch shows like this to often. They make my blood boil. Lol! So rewatch for me is not that high.

Pulls the heartstrings!

First off... if you are not wanting a tear jerker with almost every episode, don’t watch this show. I am not one to watch them much but for some reason I had to see what this was all about. It was not what I expected but it was a really good show.
I marked “rewatch” down some because I would personally not watch it often because it is a sad heartwarming show. I do like that it teaches us that money and power is not everything. Love and family is.❤️

Storyline - well written and well acted.
The father is a jerk! I felt bad for him because, even up to the end, he still could not see past his money! Even after his entire family left him. I really REALLY wanted to beat him to death when he told the FL to take all responsibility for the contract and organ issue! He told her she was going to die anyway so just do it! I really hated him then and realized he was not going to change even in the end!
This story was kind of close to my heart in the fact that she had a brain tumor. Been there, done that, and deal with it everyday of my life. I am thankful mine was operable. So I can relate to the FL. I think she did an awesome job. And I love that the ML stuck by her no matter what anyone said! I also am thankful it was a somewhat happy ending in that they did not show her dying. They left it up to us to imagine how long they were together. It ended just right.

Acting/Cast - I have seen Kim Yong Gun in many dramas. He really pulls off his acting for a mean guy lol. He did a great job making me hate him!? The ML and FL did an awesome job in their roles. They had me crying half the time.

Music - was really good. Hope I can find it to listen to.

Rewatch - when I want a tear jerker, then yes! I would watch it again. It is good enough to see at least once. Just make sure you have a box of tissue handy.?

Cute and quirky

This is a cute and quirky show. I have watched it 3 times now! It is one of my very first CDramas and it hooked me! I recommend you watch it. It is a Netflix Original. Just a warning if you don’t have Netflix.

Story- was good except when they threw in her ex fiancé in the last few episodes. He was going to “drive a wedge” between them. Ya like what happened with that? ? It was really NOT needed!

The ending was satisfying. Thank goodness! If you read some of my reviews the ending is always my biggest hang up.

In some parts of the show it was like they hand one of the actresses do their voice in an empty room when she was obviously outside and not indoors. It sounded bad! Did something happen to her voice while filming and so they dubbed it over with her in a room to save time or something??? I wonder if they honestly go through these shows and clean them up or if they just throw them out there once they have it done. It drives me nuts. Lol

Acting/Cast- I love the cast! They all did a great job. I think the main leads are my most favorite!

Rewatch- yep I will watch it again and again! I like that most episodes are about 30-35 minutes. It is amazing what they pack in that short of a time frame!

Also this show introduced me to Pocky Sticks! Haha my kids love them! Glad my Walmart sells them.?

Was cute but wish more was on the end

Again... another show where they finally get together the last 3-5 minutes of the show.? Don’t get me wrong the storyline was great. I loved it! But I really really get tired of the ending leaving you wanting more. I really did love how they presented the story. Split in different perspectives. Was unique and really flowed nicely together.

The acting was really well done. I really felt like they did a great job.

I watched this on Amazon and I really felt the subtitles lacked. So you miss out on what they say at the end. I did not mark it down on here because of that. I will be doing that on Amazon later. It is just a warning if you watch it there.

Rewatch? Ya I might. I did like the story. But because of the ending it is a “might”.

I have watched this twice. Liked it more the second time around!

This show was one of my first foreign dramas. And it was kind of slow but yet it was a really good story. I really liked it the second time watching it. It is on Netflix and I am glad because I am hoping it will always be there for me to watch whenever I feel like I want to see it.

Story... is told really well. I thought it was done quite nice. It had a few twists I was not expecting! There were a few times I wanted to kick the exgirlfriend! She ticked me off for what she did to the main actress and main actor. I won’t give details you will have to watch it.?

Acting... I think they all did a really great job. I am just amazed at how well the emotions are shown. They are so believable that you get caught up in the story because the actors pull it off really well.

Rewatch... yes! Watched it twice and it is like one of my good books, I will keep coming back to see it again.

This show was a pleasant surprise!

I really thought the actors/actresses in this show were going to be vindictive, jealous, controlling, and a hateful bunch. But I really liked how all of them turned out to be really good people in the end. Those who went wayward came back and changed themselves for the better. If it turned out the other way it would have been another typical KDrama. I am so glad it caught me off guard and surprised me.

I could not watch it on Viki because it is “Restricted”?. So I watched it on Dramacool.com. YouTube has it but it is cut up bad and there are missing episodes. So watch it on Dramacool.

For the acting... was great No Min Woo surprised me in this one. For 1 he is a true flower boy! So cute you cannot help fall in love with him. And 2, He did such a great job playing innocent. He was like a little kid and pulled it off surprisingly well. The female lead was really good also. She did a great job.

Rewatch? Yep I would. Maybe one I can talk the hubby into watching with me??.

Was a cute show but...

I liked the show but the FL kind of bugged me. I think it was the part she played. I really got tired of her not fully accepting him and that their lives could be good together. She also felt that she had to change who she was to be with him. She had to get a degree because she felt if she did not she was not good enough.

Here are my hang ups... when the ML was kissed by the girl that liked him for all those years and the FL saw them. He just stood there and never tried to explain anything to her. Never really pushed the other girl away. Never made it clear to his love interest that he had no feelings for the other girl. He pretty much just let her go.? I get that she was like a “sister” but... even in my family when my brother was wrongly picking a fight with my hubby we all stood up to my brother and let him know he was in the wrong. The ML did that like one time! That was when he had to go over seas and the other “sister” showed up.

The FL... uggg I just had a bit of a hard time with her. She got annoying. The way she was always so reserved even when she “confessed” to the ML. She wanted to hide their relationship. I really really hate that!! If you are not willing to let people know you are together then you are not worth being with. And when she over heard that she might not have kids. I really hate shows that they leave the one they love because they either cannot have kids (or think they cannot) or they are ill and are not sure if they will live. And I do know that she was playing a very naïve girl. So naive that she dressed like a wanton woman because the other girl told her she needed to and actually showed up to work looking that way. She did play a good naive girl. I think that is what really bugged me about her character. I have a hard time watching naive, gullible people that don’t understand a situation until it is to late or that do not know how to stand up for themselves! ??‍♀️

Would I rewatch it? Ya I probably would. Just wish a lot was cut out and the show shortened. But over all I did like the story. For me I will watch again just not as often as some of my other favorites.

Cute sweet Romance

Ratings on this is low here. Sad to say. If you are looking for something slow and sweet this is one to watch. I am on my third time watching now. I have to take a break from the intense kdramas once in a while. ?

I love the actors. I think they did an awesome job! I loved the realism of their love and their “first time” together. It was so funny to watch! It was so fun watching their love build. It was fun to watch it slowly build. If you are looking for something slow and sweet this show is a must watch!

Cute show but...

I really liked this show in the beginning but then it dragged on for so many freaking episodes before they got together! The two main actors FINALLY got together in episode 17!!! Really? And her wanting to keep it secret because of the other girl who was not truly a friend was crazy and I do not blame the male lead for getting pissed because of it (I think the secret went on for almost 2 episodes. So that got tiring fast!). Also, I don’t think it was right for the female lead to not make it clear to the other guy that she was not interested in him even when she knew he was in love with her. I was proud of him for the way he handled it though. Love triangles piss me off half the time. Especially when the leads do not make it perfectly clear they are not and will never be interested! Ok! I am done with my rant.... other than those things...

I really do like the show. The leads are so cute together! I LOVE the height difference!

I really do enjoy the acting. I think so far they did a good job. I have been holding off on episode 21-22 because I want to wait for the last two episodes so I can finish it.? I know weird logic but that is me. ?

Would I rewatch it? When the show has ended and I have seen the last episode I will come back to let you know.

Had twists and turns to keep me interested!

So, I have not watched or reviewed a “new” CDrama in a llloooonnnggg time! I kind of took a break from any new ones and watch all my old favorites. Trust me there are a lot of them! But now I need new and this one caught my eye and so I had to check it out. I am glad I did. For me… it had a unique storyline and twists and turns to keep me watching. It was a very good drama and I liked that it was not 20-50 episodes. I am sorry they tend to lose my interest because I don’t have the time to watch all those anymore. That said…

Storyline - I felt was well written and well executed. I loved the story of how they try to keep the FL alive through a phone in the future. When I got to episode 12 and it felt it was all resolved I kept thinking, “No… we still have 4 episodes left this can’t be right!” And I was pleasantly surprised on the twist it took although I sort of expected it at this point that it was all someone else who wanted the FL dead. But wait… there was another twist that leads you on another road. But I will leave that for you to watch and find out for yourself!

Cast - was perfect! I have seen the male lead in other CDramas and I really like him. He can play a LOT of different roles really well. All the cast did a great job. Their emotions were spot on and I even cried in a few spots right with them. Not proud of that but hey! It was good! And they were believable! So great job for them!

Rewatch - yes! I more than likely will! It was an excellent drama and one I will wait a bit to watch so I forget most of what happened lol. I want to be pleasantly surprised all over again!

… I have seen worse but this one ranks up there.

I have not done a review for a while now. Mostly I do them if they are really good or really bad… Sad that this is a bad review. But that is what to expect from a “mini” drama like this. Poor acting, poor script, poor storyline, poor sound. Was just lacking a lot!

Storyline - …was needing a TON of work! I would give more points if it was written better. Unfortunately it was not. It did not flow smoothly. There were things unresolved with her family. It went from problems with her family and threats from her “sister” to nothing resolved. Then a childhood “friend”, of the ML, appears and that was all jumbled! Then the ML’s sister appears out of no where and causes another huge mess. And the ENDING! Oh the ENDING!! I cannot tell you AGAIN! how much I hate short stupid endings! If you don’t give me a satisfactory ending I am going to mark you down! This ending was pathetic! I hated it! Storyline was just stupid!

Acting/Cast - the ML/FL had poor acting. They just did not deliver! I am almost certain that most of these mini dramas are just the beginning of their acting career for most of them, but these two and the rest of the cast was sad, sad, sad! The script did not help them one bit. Their acting was sort of childish, especially the ML.

Music/ Sound - well… there really was not much music to comment on but the sound disappeared completely in parts and then they played music over the voices in places. So it did not help this mini.

Rewatch - NO! This will not rank as a rewatch for me. It just did not deliver.

Meh… not that great of drama lacked a lot!

It was not the best short drama. Worth at least one watch...maybe lol. I feel overall that this drama could have been better with a well written storyline and better cast, who can act. Sorry it lacked a lot. I think that is why it took me months to complete it. I just made it to episode 3 and could not take the emotionless acting and bad storyline. But I finally decided to finish it to get it out of my watchlist.

Storyline - needed a lot of work. I thought the story was a bit interesting but fell short because of time maybe (about 5 min episodes)? It could have been better. More explained in it to complete the story and it needed a better ending. It felt rushed due to the time.

Acting Cast - ahhh! I want to be nice but I can’t! I just can’t! I usually try not to be brutal to the actors but these guys just plain sucked. They lacked a lot. And I know it is not just the scripts fault, it is theirs. The emotion was not there and just all around lacked completely. They felt stiff in their acting like it was forced on them to do. It was painful to watch.

Rewatch - more than likely not. It was not a drama that really impressed me to watch it again.

Excellent “short” drama!

Sometimes I love these bite size dramas that don’t take 16-52 hours to watch. This was a great watch and a must rewatch for me.

Storyline - was well written. It ran smoothly. I loved the plot and the build up to what happened. Kept me on a hook to finish it and know what really happened. I loved that the main leads worked out all their issues and believed in each other even when outsiders and doubts crept in to try and break them up. I love that about this drama! I was happy there was strong leads and not some push overs that are weak. I felt that it finished perfectly.

Acting/Cast - did a great job! I loved watching their chemistry grow. They all did a great job.

Music - I liked it.

Rewatch - Yes, this one is now a favorite. Was well done and I would watch it over and over again. Especially when I am needing a break from the long dramas.
