Underwhelming

It's understandable to have expectations from a drama when it's highly hyped by others. However, in this case, the show didn't quite live up to its expectations. While the storyline was decent, it left some questions unanswered, such as the ML's previous connection with the FL, which could have been explored more. Additionally, the father's character wasn't punished, despite being just as bad as the mother, which could have been addressed better.

Regarding the acting, there were some areas that could have been improved. Sung Hoon's acting felt a bit stiff and lacked emotions, particularly when he tried to use a stern tone. However, the FL's acting did get better as the series progressed. Despite this, her character felt somewhat weak, which was disappointing, considering it's a revenge-based storyline. The acting by the evil mother and daughter felt too dramatic and over-the-top, like a soap opera.

Overall, the show was simple and straightforward, and the romance was not particularly strong. However, it still managed to work, and if you're looking for something to pass the time, this show could be a good option. There is still plenty to enjoy, but some aspects could have been polished better.

A lighthearted drama about life

"Meet Yourself" is a standout in the realm of Chinese dramas, effortlessly blending heartfelt storytelling with deep social themes. The show captivated me from the start with its realistic portrayal of life, love, and personal growth.

The drama is set against the beautiful backdrop of the countryside, which adds a serene and almost therapeutic element to the narrative. However, what truly sets "Meet Yourself" apart is its mature and nuanced exploration of relationships and personal struggles. It delves into themes such as grief, community, the clash between modernity and tradition, and the journey of self-discovery. These elements are handled with such grace and depth that they resonate long after the episode ends.

The romance between the lead characters is one of the most authentic and grounded portrayals I’ve seen in recent dramas. It’s not just about grand gestures or clichéd moments; instead, it’s built on mutual respect, understanding, and personal growth. The chemistry between Liu Yifei and Li Xian feels natural and effortless, making their relationship both believable and deeply moving.

Liu Yifei shines as the female lead, bringing a quiet strength and vulnerability to her role. Her performance is both captivating and understated, perfectly embodying the complexities of her character. Li Xian also delivers a stellar performance, bringing warmth, charm, and depth to his role. His portrayal of a man who is both confident and introspective adds a compelling layer to the drama.

The supporting cast is equally commendable, each adding depth to the story with their unique personalities and subplots. The show does an excellent job of exploring different life perspectives, from the struggles of the younger generation to the wisdom of the older.

In conclusion, "Meet Yourself" is more than just a romance drama; it’s a beautifully crafted story about life, community, and the journey to find peace and happiness. It’s rare to find a drama that balances romance with such meaningful social commentary, but "Meet Yourself" does so flawlessly. This is a must-watch for anyone looking for a drama that is both heartwarming and thought-provoking.

Great Drama!

Titled "Happiness," this drama was anything but happy. It revolves around people turning into zombies following a post-COVID outbreak. The story takes place in an apartment building that is placed under quarantine after the residents become infected. As the days progress, the residents descend into madness, committing increasingly atrocious acts. The plot moves swiftly, and the actors' performances are outstanding; I found the villains utterly detestable.

Despite being misled—expecting a typical romantic drama due to the title—I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Although there were only a few romantic moments between the main characters, I still found the drama very captivating.

Hit and miss

The movie was an interesting watch, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. While it was definitely weird, quirky, and campy, the humor and storyline could have been better fleshed out. Having watched the Chinese adaptation of the movie, I know the potential for hilarity and absurdity that this type of movie can offer, and unfortunately, this version of the movie didn't quite live up to that standard. Nonetheless, the movie did have its moments and the villain's plan was intriguing, despite not being explored in much detail. I'm looking forward to a potential sequel and seeing how the story develops.

Worth it!

I must admit that I was hesitant to watch this drama due to my dislike for Rowoon, but after giving it a chance, I was pleasantly surprised. His character was incredibly charming and quite funny, which made it difficult for me not to adore him. The chemistry between the main leads was the highlight of the show for me, as I loved watching their playful bickering turn into something more.

However, the unnecessary love triangle left me with a few unanswered questions. When did the second male lead start liking the female lead, and why? It was not clear to me, and he never confessed his feelings. Perhaps I am biased because I did not find him attractive.

Despite this, I would still recommend this drama to others. It may have followed a familiar plotline, but that should not stop you from giving it a chance. Jo Bo Ah's performance was exceptional, and you could tell that she had a lot of fun playing her character. The chemistry between the main leads was undeniable, and it kept me invested in the story.

Although I would have preferred if they had taken a risk and made the second male lead the villain or the main lead's secretary, the show's choice to go the safe route was not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, I believe that this drama is worth watching, and I encourage you to form your own opinion instead of solely relying on others' opinions.

Lacked consistency

It appears that the drama faced some inconsistencies in its plot that affected the overall viewing experience. While the initial introduction of the plot line was promising, the latter half of the series seemed to lack direction and coherence. The story seemed to contradict itself, making it challenging for viewers to follow and comprehend. There were also certain elements that appeared unnecessary and illogical, and a clear antagonist was absent.

However, despite these shortcomings, the drama still managed to be enjoyable, particularly in the first half. It may not be considered the best, but it certainly isn't the worst either. Perhaps a more straightforward and simple approach to the storyline could have made it even better.

A mess of a storyline

You know, I was really looking forward to the drama, but I think it lost its way. At the start, the concept of a news anchor who can't lie was so promising! They could have really dug into the whole fake news angle and made it hilarious, like they did in "The Honest Candidate." The romance could have been a fun side story. His people-pleasing nature could have added another layer of humor to the plot.

But instead they threw in a reality dating show and a pointless love triangle. Honestly, I don't think it needed all that drama. It just needed to be over-the-top funny with a sprinkle of romance, like "Sound of Your Heart."

I'm so disappointed. I was really excited to see Ko Kyung Pyo and Kang Hanna together, but the story just missed the mark.

Kim Baek Du Swag!!

Wow, what an underrated gem! This show truly captured my heart and deserves so much more recognition. The storyline was incredibly refreshing and heartwarming, and I couldn't help but fall in love with all the genuine characters, especially our main character, Kim Baek Du. He reminded me so much of Kim Bok Joo from Weightlifting Fairy, which just added to the charm! We definitely need more dramas like this one. While the story may have been slow-paced, that's what made it so special and captivating. I'm usually not a fan of adding murder mysteries to feel-good shows, but this one was surprisingly okay. They didn't dwell too much on it, which I appreciated. Instead, I found myself completely engrossed in the adorable interactions between our two main characters. They were just too cute together! And let's give a big shoutout to Jang Dong Yoon for his dedication to the role, gaining weight to truly embody the character. I had never heard of or seen this sport before, but he portrayed it so convincingly that it piqued my interest. Kudos to the entire cast and crew for delivering such an unforgettable experience!

A beautiful story

I really enjoyed the drama. It gave me a warm, nostalgic feeling and a deep sense of longing for love. Typically, I shy away from dramas where there’s an age difference between the leads, as it tends to make me feel uncomfortable. However, I found myself a bit hypocritical this time because Hiroko and Koji's relationship drew me in. Hiroko, an aspiring actress with a bright and optimistic personality, was beautifully paired with Koji, a deaf artist living a lonely and reclusive life. Together, they created a love that felt sincere and captivating.

That being said, I did feel like Koji was somewhat insensitive to Hiroko’s feelings at times. He didn’t always seem to understand her or make an effort to reassure her when she needed it most. Hiroko, on the other hand, was persistent in trying to understand Koji and encouraging him to open up, but it felt like he just wasn’t able to meet her halfway emotionally.

I also felt bad for Ken, as it seemed like Hiroko unintentionally used him to fill the void. However, I do think he should have known better and protected his own heart in the situation. Then there was Koji’s manipulative and unstable ex-girlfriend, who I absolutely disliked. Her interference added unnecessary chaos to Koji and Hiroko’s relationship, and I can’t help but feel that without her meddling, things could have ended differently for the two of them.

Overall, this was a fantastic drama. The cast was outstanding, and their performances were both heartfelt and nuanced. They brought the characters to life in such a way that you couldn’t help but be invested in their story. Not to mention, they were all incredibly good-looking and talented, which certainly didn’t hurt!

A beautiful concept

Wonderland,I found the concept intriguing, but the execution left much to be desired. The film would have benefitted from more backstory on the main characters. For instance, with Jung In, it was hard to empathize with her when Tae Ju wakes up and acts differently because we have no context for what he was like before. It felt like we skipped the entire first half of the story and jumped straight into the second. Additionally, the film hinted at Tae Ju being insane and potentially dangerous, but it never clarified who started the fire, leaving important plot points unexplained. Overall, the movie had potential, but it needed more development and clarity to fully engage the audience.

Its good in my opinion

I'd like to start by mentioning that I haven't seen the first season of this show. I decided to watch this season primarily because of Lee Sung Kyung, whom I'm a big fan of. However, I ended up enjoying the performances of other actors as well, particularly Dr. Kim. I plan to watch the first season to gain a better understanding of his character.

Initially, I expected the show to be focused on romance (I'm a hopeless romantic), but it turned out to be filled with a lot of drama. Perhaps I'm not used to this type of drama, either way I found the story to be good. Since I haven't watched the first season, I can't compare it to anything.

I was really impressed with Ahn Hyo Seop's acting. It felt like he fully embraced and enjoyed playing his character. Previously, I didn't consider him a strong actor, but he proved me wrong. Everyone's acting was amazing – they embodied their characters really well.

Don’t waste your energy

I decided to watch this cause I thought the plot was good. I was expecting an enemies to lovers type of situation because that’s what usually happens, but thats not what ended happening. This was terrible, I had a miserable time watching this. Everyone just pissed me off especially Chaeyoung! the only redeeming character was the Grandfather and of course their daughter. If you’re looking for a feel good romantic comedy, then this is not for you.

wasted potential

what a shame this had so much potential to be amazing, the actors seemed to have great chemistry together it’s a shame they were stuck with such a terrible script. originally I thought the plot was good but they ruined it by adding unnecessary issues.

Anyway I enjoyed Lee Min Ki’s performance it’s was refreshing to see him play a character who’s playful and cute, I’ve only ever seen him play stern, emotionless characters before this. As for Nana she was amazing as ever, she’s the reason I watched this in the first place, ever since I watched her in “into the ring” I fell in awe for her. Since then it’s been my mission to support and watch all her movies/shows.
