Angst romance, angst sensuality, angst chemistry... all in Love at night!

This is the second review for me and even if I don't usually do it, I decided to comment only on those dramas that strike me in the heart, that break it in two - positively and negatively speaking - and that heal it. There are at least six dramas, for now, that will stay fixed in my heart and stay in my head. And I will rewatch them whenever I have dark thoughts, because they help me a lot. They would help anyone, imo. Having said that, I'm going to tell you what I think about it and what my purest sensations are. I warn you that I am writing these words after having just finished it again - the day before yesterday I finished it in a day and a half and now I feel the need to tell you everything.

I'm not someone who is easily moved, nor does my heart melt when two people look at each other intensely, but watching Love at Night I felt embarrassed. In a positive way, that is. I felt understanding, warmth, interest, defiance, chemistry, sensuality and romance, as well as that non-violent, over-the-top angst from seeing the two main leads. And I mean the FL and the ML. Together they are passionate, wonderful and have really complex chemistry. Perfect. There is no better chemistry than this drama. Not even in the other five dramas in my heart do they reach the height of these two. What struck me most and that in a day and a half I wanted to continue without stopping and I even slept little, is that angst in the air whenever the two stared at each other. The FL could not, initially, because she had already been engaged to her high school boyfriend for at least 10 years and yet when she met the ML, a veil of tension was immediately established in the air. That veil which, however, puts tenderness on one side and makes your mouth water on the other. The ML is wonderful, arrogant, stubborn and would do anything for FL and even if love at first sight doesn't convince me because they have to be built really well, here there was no need to roll my eyes. So much so that I watched it again in less than 24 hours, because I missed the two protagonists.

I wanted to see the ML suffer again, to see the person he wanted with all of himself with another, with a 2ndML that he didn't like very much. I wanted to see FL admitting that with her current boyfriend and 2ndML nothing was going on anymore. I wanted to review how FL's character affected ML a lot, because she was stubborn and rigid almost to the end, up to the crucial and most important moment of the drama. Yet, at least to me, it seemed like the right thing to do. If she had "let go" in the first few episodes when the ML was already "cooked" of her, it would have been too easy, dodgy and the drama would have turned into something simpleton. Because both had to be really, really sure of their feelings and, even if for the ML it was love at first sight and okay, for her it wasn't. A wounded person, especially a woman, finds it difficult to regain the right trust. The hardships, the stiffness of the FL, the 2ndML being nasty to the ML and telling him to stay out of his relationship with the FL, had to be there. To make the TV series angst and romantic at the right point. To the point of having butterflies in your stomach, to the point of making you smile at every dialogue between the two main protagonists, to the point of not even being able to take your eyes off the screen. Or at least, that's how it was for me. Just enough that, at the conclusion for the second time just now, I now feel like I want to find another similar drama on the web. To have the same angst and romance of this again. But I know that every drama is different from each other, which is fine as a thought.

To conclude my review, I will still put the pros and cons.
About the pros:
- the excellent chemistry between the two protagonists - ML & FL of course;
- if you are looking for a drama with excellent sensuality, with romance that is not at all cheesy and an angst that will make your legs shake from the very first episodes and set at work, this will do for you;
- if you like love at first sight and a ML who would do anything for his partner, then this drama will do for you;
- if you are looking for a FL who almost always runs away, who is rather stiff, but who has the kindest heart in the world, it will do for you;
- if you like pairs of secondary characters where there's enough angst even there, it's for you;
- if you like happy endings, this is for you.

About the cons:
- there are some behaviors of the secondary characters that I didn't like, such as childishness, repeating superfluous arguments, running away from situations that could be concluded almost immediately and unnecessary back and forth;
- the 2ndFL didn't seem sincere enough to me with the 3rdML and, conversely, the latter seemed to me very silly at times, losing dignity for a person who often preferred to lie than to be sincere. There was no need for further angst issues between the 2ndFL and the 3rdML, as the 2ndFL did not have another suitor in life like the main FL. She could avoid hurting the 3rdML multiple times, making him feel inept;
- the ML ex could avoid certain attitudes to recover a long ended relationship and I have the feeling that she was cast as a character in the wrong way. In my opinion, she could have been avoided. The drama is based on the broken relationship between the FL and the 2ndML, not for this reason the ex-girlfriend of the ML had to enter as well to add the thorns to the main love. More different questions could have been put, since not everything revolves around triangles, or exes appearing from the past or even problems to do with couples. It could have been a work issue, in case, to divide the two protagonists;
- the fact that the ML in the second part had compromising behavior aimed at hurting the FL, despite the fact that she had repeated to him what she wants to have a healthy and strong relationship. I mean, what does it cost him to be honest with a percentage more than normal? Why have the usual excuse of "protecting the one I love"? It wouldn't work for me, in fact it would make me move further away and that's why it will never go down to me in reviewing those scenes.

Ps. I almost forgot: I'm not someone who gives 10 stars for chemistry between characters and 10 for an overall conclusion, as 10 is perfection in almost everything and is a very rare rating to give for dramas, TV series and movies, by my standards of observation. So please keep this in mind - if you ever read my review. I'm not joking.
