Zanzan, good to see you again

I admit, Zhu Zanjin is the only reason I watched the movie for. The dramas he is in aren't airing, the last thing he was in was "Miss the Dragon" which as fun as syphilis (but he was hot in his role). I went in without watching ultimate note or the original series.

I think the movie had potential. It was fun, I liked the action scenes (may I say ZZJ looks so good and manly while fighting even when cross dressing). I think the plot is interesting too. There is one bod problem with the movie that makes it a kinda good movie instead of a great movie- it is too short. Fast pacing isn't a bad thing, but I feel the story and charcters weren't flashed enough. The short run time does make it rushed rather than fast paced plot. I wish they added more scenes and run time. I would gladly watch more scenes with ZZJ! and the others too. As someone who doesn't know the general story, I didn't feel like I needed a background, so it's a shame that the movie is short. Even without ZZJ, this movie could be much bigger.

Do I recommend it only because of ZZJ? Actually no, I it was a pleasent surprise and it is only one hour long, but at least it was a fun time. If it were longer than I would still enjoy it and feel the story progress in a much natural manner. Heck, if you're a fan of any of the actors I think you would enjoy this movie.

Overhyped drama

This drama got popular cuz of the two main leads and it shows. I started the drama because I'm Zhao Lusi fan and right before it aired I found out Liu Hai Kuan had a role too (that turned out to be insignificant). This is the first drama I watch with Dilraba and Leo Wu and I'm NOT impressed.

First, I don't like the leads, especially Ashile Sun who felt like a Gary Sue (or should I call him Gary Sun?). None of his acrtion had consequences since no matter how he did, Great Khan was all over him he didn't face anything. The only thing about his character was him having a crush on Changge. Hell, the two leads have no romantic chemistry. Changge didn't think about him at all while he didn't mind others. Her falling in love with him was so forced I rolled my eyes. Maybe the fact neither of them had an actual character growth. Somehow they were always right (especially Ashile Sun) and EVERYONE listened to them. After Ashile Sun "died", I skipped almost everything.

Mimi was annoying. I don't hate Shuyu-gege, but never cared for him. Also, he shot Changge and it didn't affect anything??? Also, the plot was her getting revenge on her uncle but she dropped it without any apperent reason other than it would might contradict history (Li Shimin was an empror during Tang dynasty, that much is what I know). The truth is revealed later, but she drops her revange too early. So the whole plot is pointless. Also the story with Khatun is the one I skipped and I'm okay with that. It was so boring and predictable.

And don't let me start how much I hated the animation. Either do it properly or don't do it at all. There are drawings of a battle, but the pictures and the sound don't match. People talikng- real poeple- over the animation and it doesn't look good. It a shame since I do like the art style and it doesn't have to be in motion, but the anumation director should be fired. There were only two time there the animation was used in the right way. It was a very lazy way to save money. So many of the scenes could be live. Not to mention there episodes with no animation- I like it but it made the animation stand out more in a bad way.

Few points I liked- Leyan and Hou Du however are superior both in romantic plot line and indivitual character development. Leyan's story and growth was much more interesting than Changge's most of the time. I'm one of the few people who like Hou Du from the beggining and by the end I was completely in love. I think he is what Ashile Sun was meant to be only he was done better. Situ Lang Lang should have had more screen time, he was so much fun. Also, I've supported Sher from the begining, maybe because he was right for hating Ashile Sun.

Dammit with my thirst for Zhu ZanJin

This movie is so bad, I enjoyed laughing at it. This is the kind of movie is so bad, I recommend watching it with friends for the giggs.

Zhu Zanjin, my beautiful talented man- what were thinking taking this movie? At some scenes his acting is decent, but at the rest of the times he is acting like he is know what type of movie he signed for. With such a bad script, bad acting and bad filmtography, it's a shame his name is associated with this. At least I got to see his face and that's the only plus.

Miss the Dragon: a cautionary of falling in love with a straight man

My thirst for Zhu Zanjin knows no boundries, so I even agreed to pay for the garbage I watched. Thank god the second main lead could pull off a much better story.

I don't understand why I was supposed to think the main leads were in love. Just because you give us some cute moments between the two, doesn't mean I'll ship them. Their romance was consists of flashbacks over the same OST (I do like the songs over the series BTW). I feel if the episodes were a bit longer or if there were more episodes to really flesh out the romance properly, I 'd be less mad. We are led to think FL was the one who saved the dragon king, but it was actually her lady. She was the one who said "hey, let's save this snake" but we are supposed to think the FL- I'm sorry the story sucks from the start. The writers invested no time in making a good story.

The dragon king is just an asshole towards everyone who isn't the FL and I'm suppose to like him because he is the ML and handsome? How low do you think my standarts are? Even towards the FL, you were warned you couldn't be with her for one hundred years, but you constantly remind her of your existance. You're being an awful husband to your wife (he doesn't even marry her himself, he just marries her off to his clone while stalking the FL from distance), you're being an asshole towards your only friend and you have no hobbies other than the FL. Seriously, the dragon king is either a jerk or in love with female lead, he has no personallity whatso ever. Like, the FL in her second life was dumb enough to pretend she could bring down rain (deserved to be excuted over her stupidity) and he fights immortals for that... like, dude. She brought it on herself. AND HE SUFFERS NO CONSEQUENCES OVER HIS ACTIONS. Did I mention the actor doesn't even bother making any facial expressions? Even he hated the show and I feel sorry for his (and the other's) wasted time.

The action scenes are so terrible too. There is no movement. No life to the action. Dragon king might be too overpowered for my taste, but that doesn't give your the right making the action scenes so lifeless and boring. Also, there is the whole "turning into immortal" sub plot that occasionly is brought up but nothing is explained and it doesn't end up playing a role in a show consisting of immortals and eternal romance.

I don't understand why the female lead falls in love with him all the times. The first time she thinks he is marrying to her lady (at some point we also told about her life but we don't see it- like how was she as a mother, how did she die ect). The second time he made her fall in love with him only to be emo about it. The third time the other dude who solid, good looking and a great man, but she "remember" Yuchi-gege so he wasn't give a chance and she likes the guy who is OP. I skipped most of the fourth life, but I saw she fell in love with him as a kid and I was like NOOOOOO. Their romance suck so much.

The second lead couple wasn't only likeable pairing, but I also enjoyed them as individuals. Xue Qianxun was what the ML was supposed to be. Qingqing was adorable. They made not only cheer for them, but I didn't want to skip their parts. I was fully invested in their story. They also made want to follow the actors in future drama they will be in.

And lastly, my dear Zanzan's character, Ming Ge Xing Jun, Immortal of fate. I guess every show needs a surprise villain nowadays. He was so little relavent I was mad. He is the Immortal of fate and they dare give him such a small role? I think FL's fate was written by him from the start to get the Yin soul (to control the world which was something the wroters farted at the last episodes with such a little built up). Too bad that the man loved he in love with that mortal. Now, I can forgive him messing with other's fates as you know- HE IS THE IMMORTAL OF FATE, THAT's THE JOB DESCRIBTION! The main lead sucks so much, I cheered at the idea of him getting in between them. If the plot was him trying to rule all the world I'd be so much more invested. Dude was acually doing his job. I get why he was against romance. Him getting a love interest (hopefully better than the ungratful dragon) would be more interesting.

Why can't Zhu Zanjin get a character who is pure like him and get a happy ending? Even as a side character, I'll take that.

So, even with the second leads and Zhu Zanjin, the show is no good. Recommend it if you are in a mood for a stupid story and don't want to use your brains

Can't recomend this drama enough, a hidden jewel on Netflix

I'll say I'm not on the Asparger syndrome spectrum, but I'm glad there is a show with a main character that is.

S. Korea has good dramas, but since "while you were sleeping" there hadn't been a drama that grabbed me that hard like "move to heaven". Every episode was unique on its own and made me cry. There story is well written and I liked the arc both Geuru and Sanggu (especially Sanggu). The stories were varied and it was great, I enjoyed crying every every time. Nothing feels repetitive. I feel like the story is perfectly finished, I don't need a second season.

The acting was good even from supporting cast and Tang Jun Sang is definatly on my list of stars to watch for their next project. As I mentioned, I'm not on the spectrum, so that's not something I can judge, but he clearly stepped into a role that's not easy and he did good job at it IMO.

I like the fact that unlike many dramas, the show didn't use catchy Kpop songs. Don't get me wrong- I LOVE those songs, drama are my only way to be exposed to new great songs. But in this drama I think it actually works with classic music in the background.

I'll admit I didn't understand the last scene- what do white butterflies represent in Korea? (not a spoiler cuz... I'm going to tell in what context they were).

I think the drama is worth watching and I want to tell everyone about it. If I had Youtube channel, I would make a video of how much I loved it.

Underated gem!

*Slams hand against table* Now that's the good stuff!

As much as I liked "Word of Honor", I feel like this show didn't get the attention it deserves. The two shows can't be compared as the two are very different, the only thing in common is the bromance that is based on a BL novel. However, WoH overshadowed "Killer and Healer" in viewing charts, though both shows had great chemistry between the main leads. Dr Chen and Jiang Yuelou had one of the best chemistry on screen, they are my no. 1 CP on 2021. I think among all the danmei I wantched, they were the main lead couple that I loved (yeah, not a wangxian shipper, they suck, wenzhou are good, I like them but not as much as... JiangChen? what is the ship's name? asking for a fanfi-I meant friend). The way their relationship was developed was written so well, something that 90% of c-dramas fail to do.

I loved almost all characters. I think Chu Ran is the only one I had problems with regarding the acting- it feels like she saved the acting ability to the scenes in the last episodes. She was too robotic, but somehow it didn't pull me off from the plot. I do think the guy who plays Zhan Junbai looks a bit too soft for his role, but not something that bothered me. Also, I recognize the actor of Boss Yu from the romance of tiger and rose, he fits the role of a gentleman. I love the man. Jin Dacheng was a character whom I didn't think much at first, but he was so awesome (and may I say even good-looking) in the last episode. I don't like comissionr Bai and his attitude towards his wife, but the actors were great.

The music was great, it was beautiful.

The story is good. I think it's better than WoH cuz in this series I didn't skip much (there was one or two scenes that I skipped). There were times the story was a bit weak, but overall I was drawn to the show. I think there were episodes I didn't feel the time was passing by, I was that engaged.

I think the show is worth of your time

Refreshing story in today's media

I'm gonna be honest- I had my doubts before walkign into the story. The teasers for the movie were fun, but in a world where "50 shades" and "365 days" exist, you probably can tell why I was worried.

So why this movie feels refreshing? The movie manages to pull of a romance between a S and a M in a way that isn't toxic, unbelievanle and it respects BDSM.

The chemistery between the leads is belivable. The master and sub relationship works great and both of them consent. I like that they didn't make one of them super rich and other pathetic shy person. It makes it more belivable that their kinks is something they are into and doesn't come from a power struggle that was there in the first place. You're with them on this journey of discovering their kinks (the FL learns how to dominate. It is awkward for her at first, but then she feels better in this role). It's also a slow burn, so it feels more natural.

Am I a part of the BDSM community? No, I'm super vanilla. But I'm also an adult who is aware that everyone has their own kink and fetishes so we shouldn't be judgemental of what adults do behind closed doors (of course with consent). This movie doesn't shame people who are a part of BDSM. It is explained through out the movie that M and S dont' have to be in a romantic relationship in order to be a master and a sub. It doesn't have to be about sex even. I'm glad they stressed it. The movie helped understand BDSM a bit more. The movie tells you it's okay to want dominating someone. It's okay if you are willing to be a sub. You deserve someone who loves you the way you are and accepts you. Despite your kinks, you deserve to be respected and it's okay to draw boundries.

Overall, I think my problem with it is the pacing, but I wouldn't change it. It works for the plot. I think this movie should be on poeple's minds when thinking about BDSM romance films or maybe for those who are interested in BDSM.

This review may contain spoilers

I think it is worth watching at least once...

So spoilers- I don't think every love story needs a happy ever after ending, and romance drama tend to be predictable in that area. There were moments I cheered for Wang'Er and I know most of the times the second lead don't get the woman (unless they do something horrible in order to get her, which kinda almost happens), but I didn't predict her no ending with neither (which isn't a bad thing, and I wish the drama "You Complete Me" would end like that).

Maybe they would talk and make things up, it is open for interpetation, so you can take it however you like. Jinzi death was rediculous, but ShiYi throwing that hai- can't even write it without tearing. I felt so bad for YanYi even though I didn't like how he lied to her when she had amnesia (which was dumb idea but I went along).

I think the comedy does excel in this drama, and I do think it is worth seeing it once, at least for the comedy parts and skip the ending. Maybe I won't rewatch everything but will rewatch the funny scenes that made me laugh out loud. The drama isn't a waste of time just because it turned to more tragic.
