As a fan of the anime I thought this was a thoroughly really good movie. The visual effects are great and the action and fight scenes are pretty badass. There's just enough gruesome gore.

The climax at the school is tense, suspenseful and shocking.

I thought the relationship between Shinichi and the mother was nice and maybe more developed than the anime. I liked the relationship between Shinichi and Murano - who was a lot more likeable than in the anime.

Migi and Shinichi's back and forth is great and faithful to the original. I also thought the music really brought a sense of epic gravitas and weight to the movie that reminded me of BvS.
