Having watched almost all the Itazura na Kiss adaptions up till now, I was not worried really about the adaption instead, I just wished to see if this story could play out well in a 2 hour long movie since up till now I had not seen any of the movie adaptions and only the tv adaptions. And I can honestly say that for the movie version, they did pretty well.

As for spoilers in the general story line, it is clear to the audience that the ML has some feelings for the FL athough, they do not seem to affect what he does in general. He still teases her, he still insults her and he still carries on with the arrogant attitude. But, the audience sees a great number of his emotions on his face unlike the anime or most of the adaptions were they try to keep the ML from smiling ever till the very end. As for the events that occur, most of them follow events in the orignial, with the exception of the ending and a couple of events in the middle. It is clear that most of this was done because of the lack of time and so, they spent time making the audience believe the romance.

ML is not as stoic as he is in other remakes, but I found him to be trying to play the same character overall, just his arc is speed up a bit for times' sake.

The ending for they got together is quite a bit different than the anime but, they tried to keep it in the feel of the story and they have a magificent kiss even if it does not follow the same events or the same conversation. The side characters are less well developed and the SML is only there for jealousy and laughs. He does not get his own girl at the end or grow. Mostly, the story only focuses on the two leads, and somewhat ignores everyone else.

But, as a movie version of this story, I throughly enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone who likes the anime.
But, the best adaption of this story is still the Japanese Love in Toyko one.
