This is one of the best Chinese dramas of 2022. The story line is engaging with a great combination of comedy and drama. It should be said that part I leans more towards comedy and part II becomes much more heavy going in terms of drama. The rewatch value is very high, given that there are many scenes that are outright funny or touching.

The acting is top notch. The young Niaoniao is a good fit for Zhao Lusi, who has made such roles her special domain. The male lead is suitably brooding and stern, but melts just at the right moments.
