So first off there's just something about the background music that was kinda creepy I don't know why! It was just a little weird I guess. So here's the low down, the main actor playing Kano was a little disappointing. That's the main reason for this not being a ten rating.
But there was something about the movie that felt very artistic and that's the part I loved. Gratefully pretty much everyone else was acting well, especially felt bad for Tojiro! But let's face it, all the sex with Kano was borderline non con or at least dub con.
It just felt like Kano let those men take advantage of him, even though he was so much more powerful than any of them ! But that's the thing I kinda loved about this story, it felt like despite being one of the best swordsmen in the school, Kano was mentally submissive - but I feel like that's also what causes his darkness.
I mean the guy basically admits that the only reason he joined the samurais was so he could kill. That means he had that darkness inside him all along, which he kept hidden underneath his beauty. I mean ffs poor Tojiro was clearly in love with him even when he finds out that Kano screwed him over, and pinned the murder on him, the second Kano said 'im sorry' he basically fell for it again and that's how Kano was able to kill him.
But then in the end, I feel like the Samurai who was telling the Captain the story of the two men, basically despite saying he was a homophobe, it was obvious he was also pretty much struggling with his own sexuality.
But what happened to Kano , they didn't show anything and it happens off screen but it's still impactful because basically Kano let the darkness take over and it drowned him too in the end.
I feel like it's also about the fact that giving anyone the power to kill is wrong because no matter how many Samurai codes you have, in the end, a person can still fool everyone and use the power of death to destroy.
And it's not really mentioned but it's obvious that Kano's story must have started from sexual abuse which turned him cold and murderous. It was like he couldn't believe that anyone could truly love him. And then he knew he was powerless to the men who were trying to get him in bed, so he wouldn't refuse them but ended up killing them after.
As for the sex scenes, they're pretty tame, but still serve the purpose to show us more about Kano and the other men.
Personally I also feel like because of whatever happened to him in the past, Kano was actually unable to feel love for anyone but kept saying things like 'i like you ' and literally even flirting with that one guy who the Captain appoints to take him to the Geisha place but Kano ends up not doing anything with the woman and instead acting like he wanted to sleep with that guy. Even though it eventually turns out that Kano doesn't have feelings for anyone, but uses these tricks to basically lure them to their deaths.

The romance, and okay I'm a sucker for a dick antihero but this ml made me swoon over his gentle but obsessed love for the fl from pretty much the beginning .
The plot is the perfect amount of angst and light moments just an overall engaging story and the plot twists keep you involved.
I feel like there were times when the fl could have been less manipulative to the sl like just keeping him around when she was in love with the ml but for some reason this show didn't give me sls lol maybe cause the main couple was just so ship worthy!
Of course I felt for both the boys though. They deserved better. Having hate and revenge on your agenda especially when you're that young isn't a great idea.
But seriously I just absolutely LOVE it

And I love how realistic Kengs behavior was after when he's still trying to get Shin back, practically blackmailing him and blaming everyone but himself and still saying he loves Shin. Typically sociopathic narcissist behavior.
And the problem which I think that ending really emphasized was that it's obvious Shin still has feelings for him.
Just screwed up.
And honestly James was always cute in LBC but now he's playing this part so well, you can see the pain and desolation in his eyes. Even Oat played his role well.
Definitely a good drama.

Yoo Jae Myung is perfect as the middle aged Kim Deuk Hwan a homeless man who finds Yong Joon, a lonely college student played by Ji Soo, unconscious after a run and bring him into his tent. The way Jae Myung portrayed the character and made is believable, all the highs and lows and eccentricities, I'm in awe of his acting tbh.
Even though Yong Joon is skeptical at first, he can't help being intrigued by the man. These two start developing a friendship while a murder takes place in the same neighborhood and the cops suspect the homeless man.
Honestly I don't think Ji Soo has looked more beautiful and he was a prince in Scarlet Heart Ryeo. He's just amazing in this, with his subtle acting and expressive face.
Must watch for drama fans.

From the beginning it was mysterious. Kim Shi Hoo's character comes to a small town for some reason and it feels like he's running from something or his parents are hiding something so there's that whole arc. Because all the characters, you'll think you know them, you'll think you know what is going on but you'll turn out to be completely wrong! Kim Yoon Hae is a girl in Shi Hoo's class but she's always either sleeping in class or keeping to herself and naturally the other kids consider her a weirdo and some are even afraid of her and believe she possesses supernatural powers.
Anyway these two start bonding when despite all the rumors surrounding her Shi Hoo doesn't stop trying to be friends with her and even starts falling in love.
But then things go horribly horribly wrong.
I really like Shi Hoo but as an actor he's in some big name productions but Cutter and Lady Vengeance being g two of them. And I absolutely love Cutter but it always felt more like a Choi Tae Joon movie than a Shi hoo film because Choi tae joons character shows a lot of range, there's a really great story line.
But this is definitely a Shi Hoo and Yoon Hae film because both their characters are equally important and have proper story arcs .
I don't know I can't explain how that ending or the clinic scenes made me feel. You have to watch it to experience it.
I just thought that ending was beautiful.
